Because of personal grievances, Zhao Guixiang, Zhao Guilian, Liu Chunfang and some others have a very ordinary relationship with Lin Lan’s family, though it could be said that they shared a bad relationship at this point.

With a flick of the Brigade Leader’s whip, the truth came out as no one was truly fearless before it. In particular, Tietou and Langtou were children, and since the others involved were also no older than adolescents, it took no time at all to get an admission.

Langtou was about the same age as Sanwang and he led a group of children of his age with him every day. They didn’t go to school and never worked due to their younger age, but they did go around to cause ruckuses all over.

They either pulled out someone’s radishes, kicked another’s cabbage, beaten up others’ chickens or bullied the obedient kids.

As for Xiaowang, because he was good-looking, neatly dressed , wore glasses and played a musical instrument, he seemed very different from them. They were curious at first, but they began to despise him when they heard their families call the child a little fool. In no time, that feeling became an inferior complex.

Besides, other children, especially little girls, liked Xiaowang and loved to play with him. Langtou and the others couldn’t accept the fact, so they decided to teach the kid a lesson.

The other children didn’t want to play with Langtou and his gang, so he became even angrier, thinking that it was Xiaowang’s fault. Seeing that he was too clean, he decided that he would dirty the child who blew the harmonica and lived like a child of the city.

They blocked Xiaowang and grabbed the harmonica. They poured sand in it and threatened him not to tell anyone. Otherwise, they would tie his little JJ up and make sure that he would never pee again.

Children usually said that anyone who went to an adult to file a complaint was a bad seed— the kind whose hair was shaved, had their pants stripped and then paraded throughout the streets.

Xiaowang was more innocent and stubborn than other children. If he thought that he shouldn’t tell anyone, then he wouldn’t. When they beat him, he didn’t beg and cry for mercy as his plan was to merely avoid them.

However, they refused to let it be over and instead, they took pleasure in it all day long. They seeked out Xiaowang all day long and would tease and bully him whenever they managed to find him.

In the end, Lin Lan found out that something was wrong and though she asked her children about it, they didn’t know anything. Hence, Dawang asked Zhuzi to inquire about it.

It didn’t take long for him to find out.

Then, Dawang went to find Langtou to settle the score.

But even though Langtou was a brat, he was only 6 or 7 years old after all. With one kick from Dawang, the child was practically sent flying already.

Dawang didn’t like to bully children, so he went to find Langtou’s brother, Tietou.

“Your younger brother hit my younger brother, so I will beat you up as an older brother!”

Since the younger brother made a mistake, Dawang felt that there was nothing wrong if the older brother bore the consequences for his sibling’s mistake.

Tietou was taller and stronger than Dawang, so he was naturally unconvinced and didn’t want to relent, which led to a fight between the two.
