You Teach Me (3)

“And then? And then?”

Huang Ya laughed mischievously. “Qin family’s people said they don’t just want to sue but also want to look for ways to release that short video recording to the media so that juvenile delinquency would be highlighted in the news.”

“Fuck. Is this called juvenile delinquency? Isn’t the label a little too wide?”

Huang Ya widened his eyes. “It’s up to their lawyers what they want to say. Why do you care?!”

“Ohh, that’s also right. Anyway, it doesn’t cost any money to label someone! What did Lin Hua’s side say?”

Huang Ya’s mouth twitched. “What could they say? His mom was so scared that her face turned white. Before, she told the school to punish their son’s attacker severely. Now, she cried and begged the Qin family’s people, pleading only to let her son go. Tch, shameless!”

“That’s right, shameless! Why didn’t they say anything about throwing things at our Ruan-ge?”

Ruan Qingmu raised his eyes and silently looked at Huang Ya.

“Where is Qin Yuan?”

Huang Ya nodded vigorously. “Also in the office. He stood there with a cold face. Tch. His attitude is like a totally domineering president!”

Ruan Qingmu sat in his seat and didn’t say anything even after a long time has passed.

Outside the school’s teaching block, the headmaster and the Dean of the Teaching Department personally sent Secretary Gao out.

“Please pass on to President Qin that we will carefully handle this matter.” The Dean of the Teaching Department awkwardly put on a smile. “Lin Hua’s parents are also terrified and desperately acknowledge their mistake. Please give them a way out…”

Secretary Gao spoke in an official manner* without batting an eye. “Let’s talk about it later. We will go back and see what the doctor says before asking President Qin for his final instructions.”

*T/N: Speak in an official manner: speak in an official rhetoric or tone, or to use grandiloquent words to cope with, excuse or reproach others.

He went on to say, “Of course, the most important thing is to see the manner of the other side’s parents. If they sincerely acknowledge their mistake, it’s not only at our family’s young master. He also has to gain the understanding of the other person he’s trying to harm.”

“Sure! Sure! They know of the gains and losses,” the Dean of the Teaching Department repeatedly said.

Although Lin Hua’s mother was rough and rascally, she wasn’t totally stupid.

Who would dare to mess with such an unreasonably wealthy family? Just as they said, the lawsuit will take a few years, and then this would create a shitstorm during the college entrance examination. They had the power and the money. By moving their fingers, wouldn’t they mess with Lin Hua’s family until their lives were a living hell?

Secretary Gao walked to the school gate and politely said goodbye to the two lawyers before entering his car.

He told the driver the address on his phone and the car drove toward the street where Ruan Qingmu’s house was located.

It was a bustling scene in the night self-study.

The midterm exam became closer and closer and it was now on the following Monday. All the classrooms were free of the usual chatter. Some students were engrossed in doing papers, some nervously reviewed the previous mistakes collection, and others desperately memorized words.

Ruan Qingmu lowered his head and worked on the questions. Behind him, Huang Ya entered from the back door and secretly approached him.

“Ruan-ge is so diligent.”

Ruan Qingmu came across a math problem he couldn’t figure out and felt slightly impatient. With Huang Ya’s sudden appearance, Ruan Qingmu’s hand holding his pen froze and poked a hole through the paper.

He raised his leg and kicked Huang Ya. “How many times have I told you? You’re not allowed to sneak up on me like that!”

Huang Ya had been prepared earlier and his chubby body jumped to the side. “I’m dodging! I’m dodging, dodging, dodging!”

Ruan Qingmu couldn’t stand his childishness any longer and glared at him. “Have you finished your homework? Why are you so unrestrained?”

Huang Ya was righteous. “Who says I’m unrestrained? I went to pee for a while. Ruan-ge has been tied up with math lately?”

Ruan Qingmu looked at the geometry problem on his paper and coldly said, “Can’t I?”

“You can, ah. You can, ah. Go ahead and pay special attention to your math studies. Don’t be biased on subjects!” Huang Ya cupped his hands and instantly went back to his seat.

Ruan Qingmu doubtfully looked at him. Bai Jing in the front looked back and kindly warned him. “Ruan-ge, beat him! He laid a bet on you not getting into the top hundred places on these two subjects. So, he hopes that your Chinese and English are suffering a little!”

Ruan Qingmu: “…”

He had forgotten how to solve this problem.

He worriedly stared at the cone on the paper, randomly drawing several auxiliary lines. Suddenly, he took out his phone and quickly took a picture.

Opening WeChat, he clenched his teeth and sent it over.

“I can’t do it.”

No reply. That was odd.

He became more impatient and grabbed the phone, wanting to close it off. But after hesitating for a long while, he still couldn’t bear to do it and softened his tone. “Can… can you teach me?”

Still no reply.

The WeChat page was still quiet and cold. That peach blossom profile picture that Qin Yuan personally put up seemed as if it wouldn’t light up again.

Liar. He said he would help tutor him if he couldn’t do it!

Ruan Qingmu’s expression turned cold and suddenly turned his phone entirely off ruthlessly.
