Thriller Broadcast (2)

The person behind unhurriedly took back the phone and pressed the stop button of their recorder, putting the phone back inside their pocket.

Then, they moved closer to Lin Hua’s ear and scolded him, “Moron. Remember to listen to the school broadcast.”

Lin Hua’s chin was fiercely pinched and that stinky sock was stuffed back into his mouth before he could scream, his vision darkening again!

Damn. The sack was once more pulled down over his head and Lin Hua’s world turned black.

That person’s footsteps rustled away and silence fell around him.

Lin Hua’s mouth was bitter and smelled fishy with dirt and the stench of men’s feet.

Was this cruel, evil bastard going to tie him up for the whole night and wait for the joggers who went running every morning to find him?

Besides, what was the meaning of the thing that person said before leaving?

What did they mean by the broadcast tomorrow?!

Lin Hua was momentarily shocked and scared, struggling to break free desperately from his bonds.

After ten minutes, the rope around him loosened a bit. He was relieved and was about to put in more effort when a sound suddenly resounded through the quiet campus.

The voice was coming from the loudspeaker at the school broadcast station. There were small hidden speakers on the lawns and along the roadsides all over the campus, with the exception of the sports field. They would usually never go off at this time of day and the female voice suddenly coming out of nowhere sounded a little bit creepy.

“Hello, everyone. Have a nice weekend! On this night, with a cool autumn breeze and after an intense night study session, an impromptu short broadcast is added for all the students currently still on campus.” That odd girl’s voice was arrogant and unbridled. “Please enjoy a particular draft from the school’s sports day – << The Sun Shines Brightly and the Youthful Spirit Soars. In a Shady Gutter Corner, Demons and Monsters Hide>>~~~.”

It was around the time everyone was finishing up their night’s self-study and heading back to the dorms. Some students in the school building had just come down the stairs and some had almost stepped foot into their dorm rooms.

They all successively stopped dead in their tracks in dismay upon hearing the announcement.

Qin Yuan stood in front of the boy’s dormitory. He had turned his head in shock from the first moment that girl’s voice had come out from the speakers.

Even though other people couldn’t tell, how couldn’t he distinguish it? Damn it! What shocking thing did this reckless guy want to do again?!

In the broadcast, a buzzing electrical current sounded followed by a few people having a conversation.

Girl: “Say, why did you harm Qin Yuan at the sports competition?”

Boy: “Who… Who the hell are you?”

Girl: “I’m Boss Qin Yuan’s fan girl! You harmed him! I want you dead!”

Boy: “Bullshit. I wanted to harm Ruan Qingmu, that dog. Qin Yuan came up by himself. It’s not my damn problem!”

“Wow!” Students from all over the campus gasped in unison.

Fuck. What was this? This was so exciting.

Soon, Class 6’s people couldn’t help but look at each other in dismay, whispering, “This boy’s voice, isn’t that Lin Hua from our class?”

“It should be. He has such a familiar voice at first, listen! But why in the world would he tell the girl these things?”

Fu Songhua stood next to Qin Yuan, turning his head in shock to look at him. “It was indeed him who tried to harm people. You weren’t seeing things that day!”

Qin Yuan took a deep breath and suddenly urged in a low voice, “The dorm’s teacher on duty will go to investigate the broadcast station in just a bit. Think of a method to help me block them for a while. Randomly look for a reason and try to delay things for a bit while longer!”

Without waiting for Fu Songhua to return to his senses, Ruan Qingmu had already run off in the direction of the school’s broadcast station afar, his figure like an agile cheetah, disappearing into the night instantly.

The conversation coming through the speakers continued, “You dared to mention the word ‘hero’? Despicable and disgusting are more like it. Is it a joke to throw something at the race track? That’s just plain cruel!”

Next, Lin Hua’s shameless retort could be heard. “What’s the damn use if you have a video?! Don’t waste your breath! Nobody can convict me if I keep on insisting that it was an accident!”

The recording stopped with a “click” sound.

The soft sound of laughter from that girl came over from the speakers all over the campus. “Right, the audio proof isn’t good enough. Let’s take a look at the scene. Next, let’s welcome everyone to the school forum to watch Class 6 Student Lin Hua’s performance at sports day.”

The teacher on duty rushed out of the dormitory hurriedly with two student council officers he had called to assist him. “Quick, quick. Let’s take a look at who’s groundlessly stirring trouble in the broadcast station. In the middle of the night too, did they want to scare people to death?!”

Fu Songhua was shocked and rushed over. “Teacher, I happened to pass by and saw a shadow running toward the fence!”

The teacher on duty was stunned. “But didn’t the broadcast happen just now?”

Fu Songhua reacted quickly. “Teacher, this is clearly a recording! While the recording is on, the person has already run away. Would they wait until you go there to catch them? It’s better to take a look at the fence now!”

Seeing as the teacher was still hesitating, he grabbed the teacher’s hand and led him to the fence. “Here, here. Please believe me!”

While he was still trying to get the teacher to take a look, the rest of the school was already busily discussing the turn of events.

Everyone took out their phones in the dormitory and corridor and swiftly went to the forum.
