Chapter 215: Third World: Ugly Duckling

Qie Ranzhe maintained a solemn expression seeming as though he was scouting seriously but his mind was elsewhere. He wasn't pleased, to be more exact he was upset with Feng Zi's confession with his jaw clenched tightly. Why he was upset? It was a complete mystery to him but it roused his competitive spirit. He wanted to try but his nature wouldn't allow him to have a casual encounters. He turned his head to look at Zhao Huangzhi who in turn blushed being stared at like this by Qie Ranzhe.

She pretended to be timid but internally she was kowtowing to the gods. She was finally going to tie Qie Ranzhe down.

Qie Ranzhe who was contemplating on this ridiculous idea was soon interrupted when Feng Zi said, "He's here. Check 30 degrees to your right," drawing all his attention.

"How are we going to get him without spilling blood? Getting into the nightclub is no problem but getting close to Fui Gen is. The man has been spending more on security than his business...The only thing that can grasp the pervert's attention is a beautiful woman," said Wen Qinxi watching the man disappear into the club. After a few seconds of waiting, there was no response so Wen Qinxi turned to look at the people beside him only to find them looking at him with malicious intentions.

"What?"asked Wen Qinxi sensing a bad premonition.

"I wonder where we can find a beautiful woman who is also part of the underworld and can get Fui Gen talking," said Zhao Huangzhi with a proud smile on her face like a kid who had just gotten first place in the entire grade. They already knew how they lost Feng Zi the last time. It was because he was dressed like a woman so of course, they did use that same trick now.

"Fuck no!" yelled Wen Qinxi expressing his displeasure but thirty minutes later he was in a dress with heavy makeup turning him into a drag queen. He felt so uncomfortable in this red maxi dress with slits in front exposing both his thighs. He had fun in the first world acting on stage but that was for charity but this was to flirt with a man.

"Fuck!" yelled Wen Qinxi stepping out of the changing room in another nearby nightclub after Qie Ranzhe coerced the ladies to assist them. The cold breeze went up his skirt making him feel cold in places he shouldn't be thus he was highly irritable. He would rather fire his way into the nightclub right now but they were outnumbered. Even with the psycho setting, he couldn't guarantee Qie Ranzhe's safety so he had no choice.

The system wanted to make fun of Wen Qinxi but it wasn't stupid enough to pop up now when Wen Qinxi was obviously in a horrible mood. Too bad Zhao Huangzhi didnt have the system's insight and insisted on taunting Feng Zi.

"Such an ugly duckling. Hahaha Fui Gen would most definitely not fall for this ruse," she said staring at him with a look of disgust.

Wen Qinxi was already at the edge which meant even a small insult would tip him over thus he drew Qie Ranzhe's weapon out of its holster and aimed at Zhao Huangzhi. Qie Ranzhe was caught by surprise and immediately grabbed Feng Zi's arm disarming him. "Don't be rash," said Qie Ranzhe pinning Feng Zi's arm behind Feng Zi's back bringing them dangerously close.

Qie Ranzhe's heart rate skyrocket causing him to unconsciously furrow his brows. He wanted to let go of Feng Zi as he was pulling on the man's shoulder but he found himself unable to. He felt his palm heat up as he lingered on holding Feng Zi's wrist. He had done multiple training sessions were he pinned down the trainees but never had this strange reaction. He and Feng Zi had physically fought each other numerous times before but never had he ever felt this way.

Creeped out he eventually let go deaf to Feng Zi's complaints. His murky brain finally cleared up after letting go but he was met with Feng Zi's angry retorts. "What the fuck are you trying to do? Break my arm?....AH!...Don't fuckin interfere. If she has the balls to call someone ugly duckling then naturally she has the strength to withstand a beating," yelled Wen Qinxi before addressing Zhao Huangzhi who was hiding behind the general, "You are good at talking shit but hide behind this asshole. Watch your back because I am going to fuck you up the first chance I get."

Wen Qinxi was so pissed off that he rudely bumped into Qie Ranzhe on the way out angrily walking away while mumbling something inaudible. He really hated this world so much. In the past world he barely interacted with Zhao Huangzhi but now she was stuck to his hip like a parasite, a parasite he couldn't kill.

Just as he decided to get away from these two and complete the mission by himself, Qie Ranzhe finally caught up with him and grasped his elbow turning Feng Zi around to face him. With their gazes locked together, Qie Ranzhe said, "You don't look like an ugly duckling....you look handsome," in such a sincere tone that had Wen Qinxi's insides melt into a puddle.

Qie Ranzhe didn't just say it to flatter Feng Zi, he genuinely meant it. From day one, Feng Zi was easy on the eye and nice to look at which is one of the reasons why didn't resist his advances as much as he did with everyone else. Sure, he wasn't the most handsome in the entire school but his appearance intrigued Qie Ranzhe and didn't find it appalling to be friends with him.

"Don't pay attention to her. She's just being spiteful. I will reprimand her after this and if she doesn't change I will directly send her back to headquarters," he continued but Wen Qinxi didn't hear anything after handsome. Feeling like he had a shot to take back what belongs to him he asked the system, 'Jolie, how do you become a certified homewrecker?'

The system, '....'

'Boss that's not ethical,' said the system but Wen Qinxi didn't respond as a radiant smile gradually appeared on his face giving Qie Ranzhe goosebumps all over his body. That smile was dangerous enough to topple down nations so how could the inexperienced general be immune?

"See you inside the nightclub," said Wen Qinxi removing the General's hand from his elbow before walking away once more.

Qie Ranzhe felt his skin crawl where he was held by Feng Zi and the feeling was surprisingly nice. He somehow found himself foolishly smiling while scratching his head in the dark street. Little did he know that his heart no longer belonged to him.
