Chapter 210: Third World: Poking At Someone's Sleeping Face

After all that running around in the past days, Wen Qinxi was dog tired and suddenly slept without warning. He was in such a deep sleep that even his sleeping posture was that of an unguarded child with occasional light snores. Zhao Huangzhi who had been throwing a fit completely lost it after that and strolled over to wake him up but she was pushed out of the room by Qie Ranzhe.

Qie Ranzhe still needed Feng Zi's to find Feng Yu and was well aware that torture or threats would never work on Feng Zi so if the man what's to sleep then let him sleep. Maybe he would wake up in a better mood and cooperate with them. Three hours later, Qie Ranzhe came back to the motorhome expecting to find Feng Zi awake but the guy was sprawled on the bed with his limbs spread out. The man was even drooling which Qie Ranzhe found amusing.

How can Feng Zi sleep so deeply with no ounce of vigilance when he was surrounded by enemies? With a malicious grin, he poked Feng Zi's supple cheek calling out to him, "Feng Zi wake up." He poked once more but this time it wasn't for the purpose of waking Feng Zi up but pure curiosity. He found the sleeping man's face nice to the touch and couldn't help but do it again.

As the saying goes give an inch and they will take a mile that's exactly what Qie Ranzhe did. He comfortably sat on the bed and couldn't help but pinch a couple of times which finally prompted a response from Feng Zi. In his sleep, Wen Qinxi felt pain on his face but it wasn't painful enough to make him wake up so he swat his hand at his cheek and mumbled something.

Qie Ranzhe seemed to have only caught one word from Feng Zi's incoherent mumbles which was Ran-ge. Thinking he heard wrong, he leaned in closer and quietly whispered, "What did you say?" before turning his ear to the side close enough to hear Feng Zi.

As expected, Feng Zi spoke again, "Ran-ge, let me sl-sleep a little longer...then will do it, okay?" Let's not blame Wen Qinxi, in the previous world Qie Ranzhe sometimes woke him up wanting to do adult things in the middle of the night so this line of response came natural to Wen Qinxi. Lucky for him the general had no idea what kind of 'do it' he was referring to.

Qie Ranzhe's brows furrowed and he curiously asked, "Do what?" but Feng Zi didn't respond. Qie Ranzhe was about to ask again when something unexpected happened. Feng Zi suddenly wrapped his arm around the general's neck and dragged him down. Qie Ranzhe quickly pressed his palm on the bed preventing himself from being dragged down even further otherwise their faces would be pressed together by now.

Feng Zi seemed dissatisfied with his once smooth brows creased a little and so he tugged a bit more but Qie Ranzhe was an unmovable boulder yelling, "Feng Zi! Wake up!"

Being yelled at like that Wen Qinxi finally woke up and his half lidded eyes suddenly opened as wide as a light bulb before shoving Qie Ranzhe cursing, "Shit....What are you doing?"

Qie Ranzhe felt like he was being accused of something he didn't do. Aggrieved, he said, "I was trying to wake you up," and carried on with the sentence in his mind, 'and pinched your face.' He was so ashamed of himself that he would take that secret to his grave.

As though he had a sixth sense, Wen Qinxi massaged his sore cheek glaring at Qie Ranzhe. 'Did he take advantage of me while I was sleeping?' he thought but there was no evidence.

The system happily chimed in saying, 'Boss, he poked and pinched your face a couple of times....hahaha then you wanted to kiss him.'

'Seriously, why did you have to say the second half of your sentence. Go run an update or something,' replied Wen Qinxi feeling like it was indeed dangerous sleeping with Qie Ranzhe around. He had no control of his unconscious response which was extremely troublesome.

Qie Ranzhe felt the atmosphere was wrong so he tried to ease the tension by changing the subject. He waved his phone at Feng Zi who was now sitting upright in the bed and said, "Tell me, how did you know my password? I had someone check it out. It turns out you didn't hack into it so do you what to tell me how you knew my password?"

'Because I know you like the back of my hand,' said Wen Qinxi in his heart but he didn't dare say it out loud. "Guessed it," was his response but he knew Qie Ranzhe wouldn't buy it so he deliberately changed the subject, "Why did you shoot me?"

Qie Ranzhe was just about to refute Feng Zi's response when that question was suddenly thrown right to his face. He unconsciously clenched his fist and said, "You shot me three times in the chest and I was in a coma for three months. Look," he said pulling up his t-shirt to reveal an impressive frame that had Wen Qinxi drooling like a kid at a candy store.

His eyes lit up forgetting the purpose why this t-shirt had been pulled up in the first place and bit his lower lip stretching out his finger to poke. 'So dangerous, really dangerous,' were the words bouncing in his mind.

Lucky for him his lustful appearance was missed by Qie Ranzhe who was looking down at his chest pointing at the scars left by the bullets. His explanation soon stopped when he noticed a hand reaching to touch. Angry, he smacked the hand instantly jolting Wen Qinxi out of his hypnotic state.

"Dage please don't casually lift your t-shirt up next time. It's extremely dangerous," said Wen Qinxi pulling Qie Ranzhe's t-shirt down for him.

Qie Ranzhe was confused but didn't have time to fully digest Feng Zi's words when the man went on to say, "I didn't shoot you without a reason. You burnt my feathers and this," pointing at Qie Ranzhe's now covered chest, "was retribution. Do you know I can no longer hold my form for a long period let alone fly?"

It turns out Wen Qinxi wasn't making stuff up. Something like this really did happen. When Qie Ranzhe burnt off Feng Zi's feathers while pursuing him Feng Zi ambushed the general and shot him out of the sky. A simple case of an eye for an eye but what they didn't know was someone was pulling their strings behind the scenes creating this award winning scenario.

A glint of guilt showed in Qie Ranzhe's eyes but it disappeared as quickly as it came as he said, "I didn't shoot you without reason. You know what happened to my mother yet you...you dared to force Zhao Huangzhi."
