Chapter 142: Second World: No Love Without Risks

Wen Qinxi was at a lose for words nestling in Qie Ranzhe's embrace. This feeling of being loved had his heart flutter with tears filling his eyes. He liked being held like this exchanging body heat with person who wouldn't hesitate going to ends of universe for him. Qie Ranzhe didn't have to come and save him but he did because he loved him.

Having someone who could show him this kind of love, this kind of tenderness was a rare gem and the likelihood of having someone love him the way Qie Ranzhe did would be nearly impossible in this lifetime.

So he made up his mind his hands embracing Qie Ranzhe drawing him closer with zero reluctance whatsoever. There is no love without risks and this was him taking a risk that could either have a good or bad ending.

Nothing in this world could accurately describe the joy in Qie Ranzhe's heart. Zhao Xieshu had hugged him back with no ounce of resistance. What did this mean? Was the omega finally willing to fully accept him or he was just happy to have been rescued by him? Whatever it was Qie Ranzhe was grateful and couldn't wait to start a new life with him and rule the entire universe.

After half a candlestick of embracing the love of his life, Qie Ranzhe had to reluctantly part with him when he saw Haidao sit upright glaring at the two people who were openly showing affection in his presence. "Am I fuckin invisible or something?" he said with a stream of blood flowing from the corner of his mouth, "Hahaha of course, the omega falls for the alpha. What a boring love story."

He was so bitter but what did it matter now? Zhao Xieshu didn't notice him neither did he care choosing that troublesome Marshal who was a thorn in his eye. Though hurt, his heart still beat for Zhao Xieshu. Zhao Xieshu could never do wrong in his eyes. He had to get away from the Marshal, he had to live in hiding so when the time comes, when the Marshal dumps Zhao Xieshu he would be ready to step in and give him a shoulder to lean on. Yes, he had to live, live for Zhao Xieshu.

That might have been his way of thinking but the Marshal had no intentions of letting him leave this place alive. It had to be in a body bag especially when he saw Zhao Xieshu's cut lips and hands, the purple bruises on his wrists and ankles. How could he let Haidao walk out of here alive? Wouldn't he have failed his duty in protecting his sweetheart?

"Does it hurt?" asked Qie Ranzhe gazing down at the trembling bloody palms.

He grabbed a handkerchief from his jacket pocket intending to wrap the prince's palms and cover his wounds but Zhao Xieshu shook his head saying, "It does but I can manage," which was a lie. He was in excruciating pain but chose to be brave in front of him.

Off course, the Marshal saw right through him but he didn't want to expose him so he said, "Oh, let me take care of it first then I will deal with him last," he said pointing over at Haidao who felt his insides had been turned inside out.

An armed soldier soon walked in carrying a medical kit before handing it over to the Marshal. Knowing what was good for him, he quietly scurried away without looking back. Wen Qinxi was urged to sit down by the gentle Marshal while taking out some stuff from the medical kit.

A fascinated Wen Qinxi followed him with his eyes watching his every move which didn't go unnoticed.

Qie Ranzhe could feel Zhao Xieshu watching him like a hawk igniting his timid side. He pursed his lips pretending to seriously focus on treating the prince's wounds but his ears sold him out. The tall man was actually blushing even going as far as being shy. Wen Qinxi recalled how he didn't expose him earlier about feeling pain so he repaid the favor suppressing the urge to tease the bashful Marshal.

Haidao was compelled to watch this lovey dovey scene between his love rival and his crush with a look of contempt on his face. He didn't miss how slow and meticulous the Marshal treated Zhao Xieshu's wounds which was obviously deliberate. Qie Ranzhe was obviously doing it on purpose so he could touch Zhao Xieshu's hand. How could he stand for it?

"Hey asshole, if you don't know how to do it then let me do it," he said rolling his eye. He could do it better and faster than him thus the suggestion but it didn't work out so well for him as Zhao Xieshu ruthlessly rejected his offer.

"Don't you fuckin touch me," said Wen Qinxi with a surge of anger resurfacing. This idiot had wasted his time now he messing up a harmonious moment. As soon as Qie Ranzhe was done dressing his wounds, he stood up ready to honour his promise which was to beat the pirate to death. But before he could do anything his was embraced around his waist from behind as Qie Ranzhe whispered something in his ear.

"Don't get your hands dirty. Daddy Ran will do it for you," whispered Qie Ranzhe with his warm breath brushing against Wen Qinxi's delicate skin. A blush crept up from his ear all the way to his face swallowing hard in an attempt to conceal his excitement.

"But.....h-he has something that belongs to me," stammered Wen Qinxi wishing he could bury his head in sand to cover up his embarrassment.

"I will take care of it," replied Qie Ranzhe, his lips brushing against Zhao Xieshu's already reddened neck.

This was simply too much stimulation for Wen Qinxi. He felt the heat from his neck swiftly spread all over especially his unmentionable parts that had his mind thinking lewd thoughts. He had to run away before he embarrassed himself further. Qie Ranzhe was too dangerous to hang around and if this omega knew what was good for him, he had to get some personal space and calm himself down.

"Fine," replied Wen Qinxi before hastily exiting the room.
