Chapter 494 - Exactly What I Said I Would.

Nove l B(in).C OM

While he said this, Hal knew he could not defeat a Saint. Even if he went all out with his Primeval Devil Bloodline, there was no way he could hold his own against a Saint.

In fact, the only reason he was still alive at the moment was that the Silver moon sect head was taking it easy on them because her daughter was involved.

Which was a part of the mother-daughter relationship he had been planning to take advantage of.

Anyways,

He never planned on defeating the Silver moon sect head. He only needed a few seconds to make sure she could not defeat him either or more accurately, he needed a few seconds to ascertain that he would not be able to bear defeating him.

"Mother, Corrina, Hal? What is going on here?" Asked the familiar voice of Leona who was now observing the hole in the ceiling of the main hall and then the detached altar on the ground between two opposing parties.

There was obvious confusion in her eyes as she had been drawn here by the explosive commotion.

While Corrina spared her sister a look, Hal did not.

Neither did the Silver moon sect head whose eyes were now cold and devoid of emotions.

Corrina was right in saying she was about to get serious.

'Sassy, Now!' Hal yelled telepathically at his serpent familiar who had used the concealment of her tiny size to great effect. Concealment proven to be able to evade the senses of a Cosmic Saint.

Suddenly, right by the detached altar, a beautiful emerald green serpent increased in size and smacked the altar with her tail, to send it towards Hal.

The silver moon sect's eyes widened with such a surprise twist.

First off, she had been unaware of the presence of a Demon beast in the main hall until this sudden gigantic increase in size, or more accurately, she had sensed a serpentine figure but had not registered it as a living being. She had sensed it more like an accessory.

The sudden appearance shocked her as her infallible Saint senses no longer seemed that way.

Who the hell was this young man and just how many tricks did he have up his sleeves.

When she shook herself from that state, she noticed the altar moving in the opposite direction of herself.

But that was not a problem.

Reality was hers to control.

As she prepared to tweak reality to once again suit her means, Hal's eyes turned dark and he duplicated.

His newly formed duplicate met the altar in the air before it could reach his actual self and right before the altar made contact with the mirage, Hal switched places so that the mirage became real and his once true self became a mirage.

The contact was all Hal needed as the portal to the Harem space opened up immediately after and he sucked him and the altar into his pocket dimension.

His mirage vanished soon after.

However, despite the 'loss' of her sect's foreseeing abilities source, the sect head merely smiled as though she was enjoying the pointless squirming of prey who could never escape her clutches.

"Foolish"

She said before a vibration of her Ordinance of reality reverberated in the area Hal's portal had appeared in and before long, it reopened and spat Hal right out of it.

"Nngh" Hal groaned as he rolled to a stop.

Now the sect head stood up from her throne-like chair to approach Hal who was still holding on to something as he lay curled on the main hall floor.

"Escape is impossible. I can reverse teleportation by tweaking reality, you think I can't bring you out of a pocket dimension? Oh yes, I know exactly what that was"

Her gloating would have probably continued, had it not been for Hal's sudden chuckle,

"You're right, I can't escape. But who said I was even trying to?" Hal asked as he sat up with the source of the Silver moon sect's foreseen abilities cradled in his hands.

A source that turned out to be -wait for it...- a Crystal Ball!

A source Hal was already corrupting with his Devil energy.

When Hal entered into the Harem space, he was deposited directly in the mansion and the second it took before the Sect head tweaked reality to get him out, when multiplied by ten thanks to the time-warping array, was more than enough to break open the altar and snatch the crystal ball.

He had even started corrupting it before his exit.

Now he closed his eyes as he was mesmerized by what he felt.

He could feel the connection.

Everyone in the sect was connected to the Source.

Even those who had supposedly graduated retained a part of that connection which was probably why they thought any life outside the sect was not worth living.

It was not really their wish to keep cultivating the sect's unique technique, which was all focussed on enhancing their mental abilities, that had them wanting to return or remain, it was their wish not to be separated from the source.

First off, Hal cut off the residual connection of those graduated disciples of the sect. He had no use for them and then strengthened the connection of all current disciples, the Sect head included, not to the source but to himself.

Speaking of the sect head, she took a startling step back as she felt the change,

"W-w-what have you done?" She asked.

When Hal opened his eyes, they were dark and releasing bouts of nightmarish fog.

"Exactly what I said I would...

I'm helping you"

...

The commotion attracted other members of the sect and they quickly showed up to provide support. Hal was very ready to call their reaction speed 'slow' but he decided to rethink that since their arrival was simply out of sentiment.

After all, if there was a threat the sect head, an abstract Ordinance wielding Cosmic saint could not handle, what hope did they possibly have?

Anyway, when the disciples entered the sect and felt Hal's presence, they found it impossible to go into a battle stance against him. Every feeling in their body said he was to be worshipped, not attacked.

Corrina was smiling at what she knew was her Master's success while Leona looked from Hal to her mother and then to grinning Corrina before she gulped.

In all honesty, after Hal touched and kissed her the day before, she was only excited for what her connection to him meant.

The sect head feeling her inability to cause Hal harm while not feeling, or more accurately able to ignore, the need to worship him, frowned before she tweaked reality and took them (Hal and herself) away from the main hall and into a lounge.

There she sat and turned her cold silver eyes at him,

"Explain yourself"

She said the words slowly to make them sound even more threatening but Hal only smiled and rolled his eyes,

"Oh please, Makena, you and I both know you can't threaten me. The connection you have with the source, or more accurately had, with the source pales to your connection with me. And I wasn't lying. I really am going to help you..." Hal said as he walked closer to the sect head who merely watched his approach with cautious eyes.

Then Hal was behind the sofa and placed his hands on her shoulders,

".... The best way I know how"
