Clearing the third floor was not further difficult. It was pretty easy to find a way down toward the fourth basement. Liam didn't even have to spend ten minutes before he got down to the fourth basement to take a look at the situation.

What he saw in the fourth basement was enough to understand one thing for sure; the fourth floor was the final floor.

The underground tower had only four basements from the looks of it. As for the lowest basement, it was protected by a large number of Shedim and the Boss Monster. Boss Monsters were existences whose strength had been artificially enhanced by providing them with a tremendous amount of Arcane Power and various other means.

If the Boss Monster would have been an Ordinary Shedim, its strength would be elevated to rival that of Mutant Elite Shedim. That was how terrific the potency of a Boss Monster's amplification truly was.

Liam couldn't see the Boss Monster of the underground tower completely but he presumed that it was a Shedim, presumably a Shedim Warrior. What he could notice was a huge pair of hooves. Other than these few things, Liam had yet to find out more about the final basement floor of the underground tower.

There was still some time left before he would actually enter the fourth basement to conquer it and that gave him more than enough time to find out a few more things about the opponents they would face soon.

While he made his analysis of the situation with his Devil's Eyes, Ludwig, Olivia, and Jennie collected a bunch of treasures by solving various puzzles.

Ludwig was a smartass and he had excellent control of the massive amount of Arcane Power inside him. That was also what turned him into the most important player in the raid of the third basement. Every single corner was filled with puzzles, with each of them leading to a different hallway.

These hallways were filled with traps, treasures, and more variations of Shedims. Liam was not actually sure why the only Lesser Demons in the underground tower were Shedims, but he presumed that his little sister had made some sort of deal with their Monarch. Other than that, there didn't seem to be a reason for his little sister to bring only Shedim to Haltan through the underground tower.

But then again, Liam also understood that he didn't have much to go on about anything other than the pieces of information he collected when attending the Grand Congress of the Underworld where only the most prestigious families could participate.

These prestigious families were required to have a Devil King in their family register or as the head of their household, at the very least. But even then, they wouldn't have much power to say anything, let alone to bring someone weak and useless to participate in the Grand Congress of the Underworld.

Liam's family was a 'little' unique compared to other households. They could do whatever they wanted, which was also why they dragged Liam to the Grand Congress.

At the end of the day, it was a good experience for him to be there. He got to know and learn a lot, which he tried to make use of now that he was in Haltan trying to become stronger as quickly as possible.

While Ludwig was having the time of his life, raiding the third basement with his wits, Arcane Power, and strength that seemed to keep increasing over time, the others didn't stay idle either.

Olivia opened a few hallways by solving various puzzles as well. She, Felicia, Rex, and Kian conquered the Hallways by carefully advancing through the hall while killing the Shedim they had encountered. Facing two or three Lesser Demons at a time was still fine. Their stats increased slowly with the utilization of their Arcanium and by naturally going beyond their limit for hours.

More than 72 hours had passed since the Arcane Apocalypse had dawned upon Haltan, and a bunch of their stats had increased since then. This gave them even more motivation to tire themselves out and continue exceeding their body's limitations. They were tired again when Liam returned from his scouting trip to the fourth basement floor.

"Looks like you guys had some fun," Liam noted, his eyes trained on Ludwig and the treasures they had collected. None of the equipment was better than the things he owned, though there were a few Miniature Tools that he added to his Keychain of Miniature Tools after telling the others that he would give them a bunch of Arcanium in return.

The others didn't need the tools, to begin with. It was pointless to carry all of it down to the fourth basement where they would turn into deadweight rather than an invaluable asset. With the Arcanium they could increase their stats a little, at the very least.

That was something Liam considered as well, but he was decently satisfied with his current stats and the amount of Arcanium he had accumulated. In fact, after selling the treasures collected by the natives, Liam's fortune had skyrocketed even further.

As for his stats, his Will had increased twice since he entered the underground tunnel, and his Agility once. It was decent progress and was something Liam had hoped for after running around that much, and multitasking with the Needles, his Claws, and the Arcane Kunai whenever he joined a fight.

Liam was not sure what the stats of the others looked like but he knew that they must have progressed as well. From his point of view, it was only a matter of time before things would get more intense as well.

Not only was everyone who tried hard and worked relentlessly slowly gaining more strength, but the first natives would create their first Arcane Circle in no time.

Liam had yet to encounter any powerful being from the Nine Realms either. For now, he was quite lucky to be able to complete the plans he had in mind without encountering anyone with an Arcane Circle. It was only a matter of time before this would change, but he was preparing for it.

Slowly and steadily, the pieces of the puzzle were being put together and he was one step closer to figuring it out.
