Chapter 132 On The Stage, Part 2

The discussion continues with the next participant. Both of them were not students related to Arthur, neither friend nor foe, he didn't even know who they were.

In truth, only Cale and Leo were the participants he was related to.

Carla and Bella also did not register their names. The former was not the type that would speak to a crowd. And while Bella is the easygoing type of woman, she rarely brings herself to the point of being too flashy.

Everything she does is limited to everyday life.

Of course, with her family background, this kind of show didn't matter at all since she already had a guaranteed future.

As for Nova, she was busy yesterday so there was no time to register herself. However, with her inconspicuous personality, she probably wouldn't sign up even if the opportunity presented itself.

A nerd like Dylan who dare to go on stage and be able to speak in front of a crowd are rare cases.

This second discussion was slightly better because of Isla's previous suggestion. The two students tried to criticize the European education system even though it seemed less sharp because they were not ready.

Arthur and Cale had their fourth turn.

Their names are much more attention-grabbing. Besides the fact that Cale was the brightest male student, Arthur was also a figure that suddenly stood out, like a storm that came without giving any signs.

Carla and Bella who were sitting on each side of Arthur immediately looked at him when they heard his name.

On the other hand, Cale had already stood up first. He only glanced at Arthur as he walked towards the stage.

"Arthur!" Carla called out Arthur's name again.

The latter gave a pat on her thigh before standing up. Without saying anything, he walked towards the stage.

The students' gazes actually focused more on him, clearly he intrigued them more, different from Cale who most of the students already knew.

Isla herself stared at him and there was curiosity in her eyes.

His background and things related to him recently were probably the main factor.

Quickly, Arthur and Cale arrived behind their respective desks. The latter started to knit his brows when he saw Arthur looking very calm, as if he really didn't feel any nervousness at all, like someone who was in the bathroom. Even he himself, while appearing calm at first glance, was actually quite nervous as he looked down at the stage.

This high school student numbered over a thousand alone if they were all put together, not to mention those junior high school students.

"Um!" Isla cleared her throat softly.

"First, tell me your dream job," she said without saying more than that. This was a bit strange for the audience because in the previous three discussions she also asked about the education system.

Maybe she wants to change the question.

Cale who wanted to speak first tapped the head of his microphone. He said, "I want to work in a well-known company and become its CEO in the future!"

Although he didn't say what company it was, he could be seen as showing great ambition. The chances of him succeeding might be low, but daring to dream and say it in front of others was extraordinary enough.

Isla, as before, didn't react at all, she shifted her gaze to Arthur, seeming to expect him to give a good answer.

However, the man suddenly shrugged his shoulders.

"I don't think I have a dream worth mentioning yet," he said.

He was telling the truth because he simply had no interest in any position. Even when he was practicing magic, he was doing it just to get stronger and it was something he would use to live on and protect what was important to him, without using it to compete for a certain status.

As for why he built troops and businesses, they are nothing more than tools to gather resources and deal with various outside threats. In the end, it's something with no other options.

Of course, the answer surprised everyone including Isla because here they were talking about the purpose of life.

Don't have a dream yet? Hey, how old are you? Soon you will be part of society.

Cale was probably the least expecting that because he thought Arthur would at least say something that sounded good so he could criticize him.

If it was like this, there was nothing he could say. Commenting will seem like he's commenting on beggars. At most, he would quip at her later.

It was also probably the first time Isla had heard someone say that to her, so she was a bit unsure how to respond. She held her slightly pointed chin, thinking.

After a while, she asked, "don't you just have your set dream yet? With your age, you've at least thought about it, right? Even someone who is too lazy to do anything at least fantasizes about being rich."

"Maybe I really don't have one," Arthur replied. "However, you can't come to a conclusion; that someone who doesn't have a dream doesn't do anything at all."

"Oh..." Isla showed an interested expression.

"Can you give an example?" she asked.

"Every living being does something and everything will ultimately depend on the abilities of each. An eagle may not have the desire to claim to be the king of the sky, but because of his abilities, the simple actions he performs every day make people give him the title of King of the Sky. On the other hand, there is a monkey who wants to rule the mountain, but how can he do it when he can only jump around!"

While saying the last words, Arthur turned his gaze to Cale making it seem like he was the monkey.

The man naturally did not accept such a thing. His emotions immediately ignited. Pointing at Arthur with his hand, he said, "do you think of yourself as an eagle?"

"Hmm..." Arthur smiled coldly, giving him no response. He looked at Isla again. The fact that Cale was getting emotional was enough to make the audience think of him as the loser, at least up to this point.

"I like your opinion!" Isla nodded, something she had never done until now.

"My conclusion is that you don't agree with people who train themselves only to pursue things, am I right?" She asked.

However, Arthur shook his head. "I don't think like that, it's everyone's freedom and whether I will look down on them or not depends on their goals If they just want to be like monkeys, I naturally look down on them."

"I see!" Isla nodded again, smiling slightly.

She then looked at Cale who finally realized he had been careless and was now trying to calm himself down.

"How are you going to achieve your dream, what are you going to do?" she asked him.
