Chapter 120 Nova's Thoughts

"About your father, how strong is he?" Arthur asked Nova.

He already had some conclusions about the werewolf family and they weren't a threatening existence even though there might be some very strong werewolves. It's not about their strength, but the way they act. They could be said to be a group of people with rules.

Arthur thought he could interact with them to learn things. There may be some things Nova doesn't know, but her father, or higher members might know more.

Nova knit her brows at Arthur's question, looking like she had trouble answering.

Seeing that, Arthur couldn't help but ask again. "Is there something wrong with him?"

If her father had been someone of such great strength that Nova believed he could defeat Arthur, he would probably have taken her father's name or at least confidently said he was very strong.

However, she hesitated. That could be said as an indication that she couldn't truly rely on her father.

Having already come to a conclusion, Arthur said again. "Let's go to your house, I want to meet your father."

"What? No way!" The girl immediately refused.

Arthur said nothing in response, but his eyes met hers.

Even though he was just looking at her with a normal gaze, Nova immediately looked like she was acting awkward.

It is not known whether she was scared or fascinated by hir green eyes.

In the end, her head lowered as she said, "alright!"

She waved her hand and immediately the wolves went off in different directions. They seem to have been trained to roam the city undetected.

After that, she took a step onto the street. Arthur followed behind her.

Before arrived to the street, Nova put on contact lenses to change her eye color and put her glasses back on.

___

Nova's house is in an area right next to Vera University. It's not an expensive area, pretty quiet, but who knows how many modern things have come from here.

Various research institutes set up base here while the surrounding houses are occupied by scientists. Those with professorships are not hard to find here.

Among all the houses, there was a house that was actually made of wood, not very big either, from the outside it could be seen that it only had two bedrooms.

It has quite a high floor so to enter the house, you have to climb the stairs first.

Whether the size or shape of the house is something that is very rare in this city.

"My father isn't back yet, wait until evening," Nova said as soon as they arrived in front of the house. She stepped hastily into the house.

Of course, there was no way Arthur would be waiting outside like a fool. He followed behind her.

When she realized that, she stopped in her tracks.

"Do you want to come in now?" she asked hesitantly. Maybe she was worried about being with a man in a small house.

Arthur glanced at her and responded by moving his hand.

"You don't need to worry because I'm not the type of man who takes advantage of women first, it's always women who try that to me," he said as he kept walking.

Nova rolled her eyes after she heard his words.

Even so, she still looked worried, which Arthur observed wasn't because she was worried about him being here, she was actually worried about herself, something she probably hadn't realized yet.

No matter what, she was still a young girl. That she was a werewolf doesn't change that fact. Plus, at times, werewolves have problems in that area.

In the end, Arthur passed her and entered the house first.

It is divided into two sides. On the left are two adjoining bedrooms and on the right is the living room. Behind, there is still a kitchen connected to the bathroom.

Arthur looked at each side of the wall for a long time because he found a row of paintings of wolves.

Some looked very old.

Actually, what's really unique about this house is its lack of modern appliances. There is no air conditioner or fan, the TV is just an old tube TV. Even in the kitchen, there is no fridge at all.

"Do all werewolves have houses like this?" Arthur asked while looking at Nova. The girl had already entered and hurriedly made her way to the bedroom at the front.

Before she stepped inside, she replied, "no!"

BANG!

She closed the door quite hard, causing the wooden wall to tremble.

phew!

Inside the room, she sighed and leaned her back against the wall.

When she looked at her hands, she found a hint of sweat.

'Why am I so nervous?' she wondered while holding her chest.

She knew that it wasn't because Arthur was a dangerous man, but because of something else she had gradually become aware of.

Thinking about that, her ears turned red. She couldn't help but peek through a small hole in the wall.

What she saw surprised her a little. Arthur apparently took the book on the table and read it.

'What the hell!' It turned out to be a sight that made her even more nervous.

Little did ehe know that Arthur was aware that she was snooping even though she was doing it in a very discreet way.

If she liked him later even though he had beaten her before, Arthur wasn't surprised at all.

Nerds' lives may be focused on studying, but that doesn't mean they aren't attracted to the opposite sex. Sometimes their imaginations are wilder than others.

Then is it possible for a woman to like a man who has hurt her?

It doesn't need an answer anymore, so many comics and romance novels of that type now. 99% written by women.

Meanwhile, Nova went to the bed, but instead of sitting on it, she sat on the side of the bed.

What she did next was check under the bed. There were quite a few books there, she picked up one, which turned out to be a novel with the title (Handsome Mafia Domination!)

The handwritten favorite word on the cover indicated that it was her favorite book.

"No..." Nova threw the book again under the bed when she realized she was starting to lose her rationality.

'This can't be, I have to stay rational, I don't need bullshit in my life,' she thought with determination, which unfortunately didn't stop her heart from beating.

The problem was that this was indeed an experience very similar to most of the novels she had read, something she was barely aware of. And when she read those things, she always liked.
