Chapter 89 Auction, Part 3

"Ladies and gentlemen, this sword was found by the American Military deep underground while they were drilling for oil. The leader of the military squad needed money so he chose to sell it. He believed this sword was very unique, so he asked a high price, whether you want it or not is up to you. — However, I'm sure you will regret it if you don't take it." Mia pushed the table where the sword was placed towards the front of the stage so as to be closer to the people in the auditorium.

An Asian man sitting at the front of the auditorium chuckled after hearing Mia's words. He said, "Lady, I also feel that the sword has some uniqueness, but it's just a rusty sword in the end. I'm sure you have checked that too, if it's around 50 to 70K, I don't mind picking it up."

"Hahaha, Li, you bid too cheaply. Even though what you said made sense, didn't you see how many words Mrs. Mia? At least appreciate the sound that comes from her beautiful lips. — Mrs. Mia, I will take the sword for 100K." Another asian man said, taunting the first one to speak so he snorted in annoyance.

However, right after the Asian man said that, someone who was participating in the online auction suddenly bid at 200K. It appeared on the screen at the side of the hall.

Glancing at the screen, Mia laughed and shook her head. "Unfortunately, the starting price of this sword is 1 Million Euros," she said, surprising everyone including Rose who was ready to bid for a higher price.

"Hey, isn't that too expensive?" People started questioning the price, some stared at the mob boss on the second floor.

Meanwhile, Amanda looked at Rose again. "What about the few million you have?" she asked with a low laugh.

Rose didn't respond, she opened her phone's contacts to call Hunter.

"Hunter, please send all your money to my account, there is something good for you here, boss wants me to buy it." She immediately hung up the phone after saying that, looking like she had absolute faith that Hunter would do as she said.

Just a few seconds after that, a message came to her cellphone.

She then raised her hand and said, "I'll take that sword for a million."

Everyone's gazes immediately turned to her.

The few that recognized her showed expressions of interest as it was strange enough for a mercenary to buy antiques, usually they only sold them.

The Evolvers on the second floor also glanced at Rose before looking at the sword. Aron who was leading them even said, "if that man was a magus and the woman bought the sword on the basis of his suggestion, I'm sure it's unique."

"Are you interested in buying the sword, Aron?" Asked Harel who has a scorpion tattoo on his neck.

Aaron shook his head. "I don't have that kind of money, my salary is only 2.5K Euros!"

The others laughed at his words.

They may be elite troops, but like any other elite troops, they are paid like ordinary workers. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to find income elsewhere because they have quite a lot of work and they are almost always supervised.

Because of their strength, the higher-ups were also afraid of them doing something outside of their duties. What if they betray or jeopardize their position? That is a very serious matter.

Rose looked around after she spoke, seeming worried that someone might join in bidding for the sword.

Fortunately, it didn't come at all.

The most displeased was of course Mia because the commission she got was very little if there was no price increase.

"Is there really no one who wants it?" she asked while pretending to stretch her body so that the skin on her armpit tightened up, making it look even more glistening. Some people may want to lick it.

Unfortunately, the people who come here still have a high level of rationality when it comes to money.

Phew!

The woman finally sighed, took the gavel and tapped it, indicating that the sword was sold.

Several men approached Rose to ask for payment.

Since the money was ready, Rose also had no problem paying for the sword even though her expression was a bit heavy.

After the payment was cleared, the rusty blue sword was immediately handed over to her. The men who handed over the sword looked like they were holding back laughter, perhaps they thought Rose had done something stupid.

Rose who received the sword began to observe it curiously. It wasn't heavy even if she didn't use too much strength. At first, she didn't feel anything strange as she held it, but after a while, she narrowed her eyes, as if her mind was connected to the sword.

"Boss!" She then glanced at Arthur, as if wanting her to examine the sword as well.

However, before Arthur took the sword, a man in his early 40s suddenly came up to them.

His appearance was quite simple, indicating that he had less money than the others. There might be a long process before he could take part in this auction.

"Miss!" He called out to Rose in a gentle voice.

Not knowing the man, Rose knit her brows as she asked, "what's wrong?"

"The person who bid 200K online earlier is my friend, he is interested in buying the sword from you, you can sell it at a higher price but he is asking for time to collect the money," said the man.

Rose was taken aback, including some near her chair.

They looked at the man strangely and spontaneously glanced at the screen where the 200K number was.

At the same time, Arthur looked at the man from head to toe. He was an ordinary human, there was no doubt about that, but what about his friend?

He thought that person was not simple just a human.

He probably knew that the sword was unique, and the fact that he could tell just by going through the screen proved that he had deep insight. Perhaps he knew the material type of the sword.
