Chapter 74 End Of Party

Since Arthur and the others were in the most corner, they were the last to get checked. Hank who deliberately came to the stands where they were approached them with a slight smile on his face.

"What do you want to find, old man?" Rose asked with a displeased expression.

Hank didn't respond right away, he looked up and down at Arthur and Amanda. In the end, his gaze rested on Amanda's bag because it was the only thing big enough to hide the thing he was looking for.

"Lady, can I see what's in your bag?" he asked.

Amanda rolled her eyes, then opened her bag instantly and pointed the inside at Hank. It contained wallets, makeup kits, and other women's belongings.

"That's enough, old man?" she said.

"Yeah... Please forgive me, you guys can go now." Hank replied, looking embarrassed.

He took a step back, but before he could turn around, Amanda spoke again. "Those two women, can you let them go?"

Hank immediately stopped his body movements hearing Amanda's question, he looked at the woman strangely.

At the same time, Amanda continued, "they definitely won't be fighting anymore knowing that they are being watched by so many people... You shouldn't need them anymore, right?"

"Do you want them?" Hank asked back.

"Yes!" she nodded.

"They are not free."

 "How much do you want?"

"How much?" Hank suddenly looked thoughtful so Amanda knitted her brows.

"You better not charge it, old man!" Arthur who had been silent all this time suddenly spoke.

Hank had almost forgotten that he was the boss, so when he spoke, he gave him a slightly surprised look.

"Why?" he asked.

"Why? They are only two women, you won't charge my people, will you?" he answered, causing Hank's face to freeze.

"Hank, he is our boss and we will do whatever he says," Rose added, causing Hank's aged lips to part slightly.

After calming down, he laughed. "Hahaha, that's right, I'll give them away for free if Hunter asks for them, now Hunter's boss is asking for them, how can I charge.. Sorry, I'm really sorry, my old brain needs more time to process information."

"..."

"However, please wait a moment, we would like to conduct an investigation first," he added.

"No problem, I'll be waiting!" Arthur then stood up, striding toward the elevator under Hank's stunned eyes.

In the elevator, Amanda couldn't help but ask Arthur. "Why are you helping them?"

"I helped you, not them," Arthur replied.

"Then why are you helping me?" she asked again.

"Why?" Arthur looked at her with a strange smile. "Isn't it obvious, you help me and I help you."

"Ehmm, yeah..." The woman was a bit unable to react. But perhaps noticing Rose's gaze, she finally showed a smile.

"Thank you, there must be a gift from me tonight," she said, and all she did after that was took Arthur's hand and kissed his cheek with her charming lips.

The sensation of the touch from her slightly wet lips was very clear, like a slap but with a delicious sensation.

Rose who saw that pressed her lips together, looking a little embarrassed.

Hank couldn't calm down when no one else was around besides his subordinates. The thing was, several bosses had already messaged him, asking what was going on.

However, he didn't answer yet because he didn't know what to answer either. If he just said that it was missing without finding any trace of the thieves at all, then he would really look stupid.

What he suspected the most was Arthur's group, but that was just a suspicion based on his instincts, something he no longer trusted due to his old age.

"Manager!" His assistant approached him.

Seeing his expression that looked gloomy as well, he couldn't help but frown. "Nothing found?" he asked.

"We didn't even find footprints, not to mention fingerprints," the assistant replied.

"Shit!" Hank's eyes started to turn red, then he stepped towards a door behind which there was a well-lit white room.

Inside, Emilia and Gianna were bound by ropes while their mouths were gagged.

Their current appearance was no different from the women in the mental hospital, their hair messy, their dresses had many rips, while their skin was covered in claw marks.

Even though they had calmed down, their grudges and anger still hadn't completely dissipated.

Once in front of them, Hank motioned for one of his underlings to take the cloth off their mouths. Fortunately, they didn't speak as soon as their mouths opened. They just take a deep breath. Otherwise, Hank who was in a bad mood might kick them in the face.

"When the lights went out, did you feel like someone had stepped onto the stage?" Hank asked with narrowed eyes.

However, contrary to his expectations, they didn't answer, only stared at him.

"Why don't you girls talk? Answer my question." Hank started to snap.

Unfortunately they were still silent, and actually, they themselves were confused why they couldn't open their mouths when the question arose. What was even more strange, they couldn't even change their expressions to show that they knew something.

Hank kept waiting, one minute, two minutes, five minutes, they were still silent.

"Managers, I've observed, they are completely clueless," said one of Hank's underlings, who is knowledgeable in psychology.

Hearing his words, Hank stomped his foot and gave a cold snort before turning around.

"Send them to the mercenary base," he said.

He actually felt it was only natural that they should not know anything since it was really, really dark at that time and they were fighting. Looking around was impossible and sensing that person's presence was naturally even more difficult considering he didn't even leave a single trace behind.

As things were a complete dead end, Hank finally decided to tell the people behind him. Left with no other choice, he could only bear the consequences rather than the problem getting bigger because he had lost a very important object.

When Hank left, Emilia and Gianna looked at each other with doubtful expressions. It was their first time. Even though they hated each other, such a strange thing still made their brains function. Of course, it wasn't long before they were cursing each other again.

"Bitch you got lucky today," said Gianna. "Next time, I'll make sure you die."

"Say that again if you can get away from here," Emilia replied. "And if I could go and come home, I wouldn't stop until I had at least killed you or your mother."
