Two-Star Mage Promotion Assessment (2)

It was a male mage in his thirties, with a refined and gentle appearance. When he saw Anna, he walked over quickly, looked at her and smiled and said, “Are you Anna?”

Anna was stunned and nodded: “Yes, can I help you?”

The smile on the mage’s face was very kind: “I heard about your grades in the promotion test, and I want to be your teacher. I wonder if you are interested?” He said and handed over a piece of paper, “This is my information. You can think about it, you don’t need to reply immediately.”

After speaking, the mage nodded slightly and turned to leave.

Anna took the paper that the mage handed over and was a little surprised. Unexpectedly, her performance in the promotion examination had spread so quickly.

Because there was a two-way selection relationship between students and teachers, it was normal for this mage to behave like this.

Anna lowered her head to take a closer look, when a slender hand stretched out to the side, took the piece of paper away, and tore it with a loud rip.

Rothgarr raised his brows. Anna took the piece of paper, pieced it together, and continued to look at it, saying, “But I have to give them some face and wait for two days to ‘think about it’ before rejecting, okay?”

“Not convinced?” Rothgarr noticed Anna’s eyes.

Anna smiled and said, “I think having multiple friends is better than having multiple enemies. After all, I’m still a weak one star mage.”

Rothgarr said: “With me here, no one can bully you.”

Anna thought to herself, you are the one who bullies me the most, okay?

Without the demon, she would not know how leisurely her life would be, and she would not have to work herself to the bone to improve her strength as if she was racing against time.

“You won’t be here all the time, only by improving my own strength is the most reliable.” Anna said.

Rothgarr was not surprised that Anna said this, and it was true that he wouldn’t be here the whole time… but she wouldn’t be here at that time either.

“Suit yourself.” He smiled meaningfully.

Anna almost got goosebumps from the demon’s smile. She knew that his words carried a different meaning, but she couldn’t even say anything in reply.

This afternoon, Anna went to the meditation room to practice. For the next month, she decided to do theory in the morning and practice in the afternoon.

Two days later, Anna went to the potion lab where the three star mage who gave her that paper said he was staying at. She sincerely expressed that she didn’t want to find a teacher for the time being. Fortunately, the three-star mage didn’t seem too displeased. He even left a spot for her, saying that she could come to him at any time if she wanted to.

Anna thought that this mage was really nice, but she really didn’t want to implicate him, so she could only express her thanks for choosing her, when in fact she had already decided that she would not come find him again.

Anna also ran into Leon once in the potion lab, and the two briefly talked about Anna’s performance in the promotion assessment, but didn’t say much beyond that.

On the fifth day after the results of the promotion assessment were announced, Rothgarr suddenly asked Anna to go to the opera at night.

“What about Natalie…” As soon as Anna brought her up, she saw the demon frown.

But the one who reacted faster than the demon was Natalie, who was on the side. She quickly said, “I won’t go. There is a banquet at home tonight, so I can’t be there.”

Anna looked at Natalie; Natalie smiled shyly, with a hint of pleading in her eyes.

Look at the demon again, he seemed very satisfied, likely because Natalie couldn’t go.

Anna thought that she had no reason to refuse, so she agreed.

After practicing in the afternoon, Anna forced the demon to eat dinner with her in the Association cafeteria, mainly because she was unhappy and wanted to save some money for Raymond where she could.

It was already past seven o’clock after dinner, and the opera started at eight o’clock. When Anna got into the carriage, she finally asked, “What is the name of the opera?”

“You’ll know when you get there,” Rothgarr said mysteriously.

Anna made guesses to herself, and when she saw the handwritten poster at the entrance of the theater, she couldn’t help but be a little speechless.
