One Star Mage Promotion Assessment (3)

The actual combat was arranged in the martial arts arena, and there would be a proctor in the ring. Each examinee had three minutes to attack the proctor as much as possible within those three minutes. After the time was over, the proctor would grade according to the examinee’s performance.

Of course, the proctor’s name was not on this assessment guide, but Anna felt that her preparation was sufficient. No matter how strict the proctor was at grading, she felt that she could pass the promotion examination.

For the rest of the day, Anna did not have plans to review, and Natalie was a little nervous, so she accompanied Natalie around the Association to enlighten her.

Anna also understood Natalie’s current emotions. After all, for her, tomorrow’s assessment was a matter of gold coins, but for Natalie, it was elated to her future.

After walking around in a circle, Natalie’s mood was much calmer. She had never been as confident in herself as she was now for an assessment. It was just because this assessment was too important that it was inevitable for her to be nervous.

Early the next morning, the two of them had recharged and came to the Mage Association early, waiting at the entrance of the library, waiting to enter the study room to take the theory portion of the exam.

Anna was a little surprised that the demon was also there.

Anna had been busy reviewing for the past few days, so she didn’t pay much attention to Rothgarr, but after the almost kiss that night, Rothgarr’s tolerance for Anna’s “disregard” was much higher.

Seeing Anna, he raised his eyebrows and asked, “Can you pass?”

Anna smiled and said, “Of course!”

She could see that the demon had just asked her casually, he didn’t really care whether she passed or not. After all, what he wanted was her soul, not the badge of a one-star mage.

“So, you don’t have to wait here.” Anna continued, otherwise she felt that the demon seemed to be a parent waiting for her child to finish the college entrance examination, which felt strange.

Rothgarr sneered: “I’ll be where I like to be.”

Anna: “…Okay, whatever you say.”

Natalie snickered while covering her mouth.

Seeing that the study room had opened up for entry, Anna hurriedly pulled Natalie in and took seats according to their respective examinee numbers.

Anna was number seven, and Natalie was number eight. The two of them were right behind the other.

There was ink and a quill on the table. Anna checked it to make sure that it was all right, and then quietly waited for the proctor to distribute the test paper, while observing her surroundings.

As soon as she looked around, Anna found that she and Natalie were definitely the two most striking people. Because generally, one joined the Association at the age of seven as a mage’s disciple, and it took about five years of study to be and to participate in the promotion test to become a one-star mage. Most of the mage’s disciples who were here taking the exam today were around ten years old. Twelve years old was already considered quite old. It was very, very rare for someone like Anna to save enough money to join the Association.

I’ve only been here for two months.

Anna very calmly met the proctor’s somewhat surprised look, and even smiled.

At 7:55, the examiner with two gold stars on his badge began to hand out the test paper.

At eight o’clock, the exam officially started.

Anna was already accustomed to the use of the quill pen by now. Her quill flew once she saw the questions on the test paper; she almost didn’t need to think much.

All the quills in the hands of the mage’s disciples were scribbling away, and the room was quiet. Only the occasional sound of chairs moving and sporadic coughing were heard.

Anna had the illusion that she was back at school. She was in a trance and almost made a mistake. She quickly calmed down and continued to concentrate on the questions.

After about half an hour, Anna finished all the questions and began to check it over. She checked meticulously, taking fifteen minutes. She set down the quill without finding any mistakes.

Seeing that no one had handed in the papers yet, Anna continued to look at the paper in a daze. She didn’t want to put pressure on Natalie. She knew very well that if someone submitted an exam in advance in an exam room, it would have some impact on the rest of the people present.

Meditation was forbidden in the exam room, so Anna could only let her thoughts wander, reviewing what she had done all the time, and thinking about whether there was anything that could be improved.

With half an hour left, the proctor began to report the time, and some people handed in their papers one after the other. Anna waited for two people to hand in their paper, and got up to hand in hers. She glanced at Natalie when she handed in her paper. Natalie had finished writing, and there was a smile on her face. She must have done well on the test; Anna was relieved.

Not long after Anna handed in her paper, Natalie also came out. She hugged Anna and said excitedly, “Anna, I have never known the answers to those questions as clearly as today. I could do most of them!”

Anna thought to herself that the quiz tactics were tried and true. She smiled and said, “Forget about this exam after taking it, let’s go to the next exam room!”

Natalie responded loudly: “Okay!”

She held Anna’s arm excitedly, and when she looked up, she saw Mage Raymond staring at her coldly. She was so frightened that she quickly let go of Anna’s hand.

She was just too happy and got carried away by herself. In fact, she remembered that Raymond Mage told her that morning to not put her hands on Anna! Really!

Anna didn’t care too much about Natalie’s strangeness. Seeing the demon following them, she smiled at him, then suddenly grabbed Natalie and ran away.

Rothgarr: “…” What are you running for?

Anna and Natalie arrived at the meditation room. The mental strength assessment had not yet started. Their numbers were relatively toward the front, so it was best not to walk around at this time.

The two found a place to sit outside and saw Rothgarr walking slowly toward them.

In the middle of a group of mage’s disciples taking the exam, there was a two-star mage who was not a proctor, which would inevitably attract attention. Anna noticed that no matter how young these mage’s disciples were, there was no parent to accompany them to participate in the assessment, so the presence of the demon seemed to stand out from the crowd.

But she and Natalie were already eye-catching as older mage’s disciples, so it doesn’t matter if there was a demon added in the mix.
