One Star Mage Promotion Assessment (2)

When she arrived at the Association, Anna learned from Teresa that President Bella had convened a meeting with the committee. Today, she was recruiting volunteers from 2-star mages and above to form an investigation team to investigate in the depths of the line of life and death.

Teresa also quietly told Anna that Leon took the initiative to sign up.

Anna couldn’t help sighing: “Mage Leon is really too earnest.”

She actually didn’t want Leon to take risks again. She felt like this kind of thing was beyond Leon’s ability. They should let three-star and four-star mages go, otherwise they would probably be killed if they run into a three-headed demonic eagle.

But this was Leon’s own choice. He knew the scope of the situation and still chose to go, so she had nothing more to say.

After a few more words with Teresa, Anna went to the library and saw Natalie and the demon. Perhaps the demon said something to Natalie, because she felt that Natalie’s expression was a little distressed. When Natalie saw her, she hurriedly smiled, but after being glanced at by the demon, she immediately stopped.

Anna guessed that the demon was threatening Natalie, but she didn’t ask directly. She found a book she hadn’t read before, sat down, and read on her own.

After Leon told Anna that she might be able to consecutively participate in the promotion tests, she was tempted. She had enough money to take the assessments now, and there was no problem in her micro-manipulation and practice of mental power. There were only two potions left that she had not practiced, but she came back in a hurry yesterday and forgot to collect rabbit head grass. Thus, those two potions couldn’t be practiced yet. She could only memorize the procedure first. What she lacked most at present was theoretical knowledge.

The two star mage promotion assessment was one month after the assessment of the one-star mages, she still had time to prepare.

As long as nothing major happened over at the line of life and death.

Anna was holding the theoretical knowledge book that a two star mage needed to master. With her previous knowledge, it seemed much easier to understand.

Time passed quickly as she read, took notes, and thought critically, and the three parted ways after having lunch together.

In fact, Anna had been quietly observing the demon. Perhaps because she took the initiative to reassure him last night under the influence of alcohol, he didn’t do anything superfluous today.

When Anna left the Association that night, she learned that the investigation team would leave for the line of life and death tomorrow morning.

She didn’t have anything to do, so she got another bottle of “Aria of Light” from Mage Dawkins and asked Teresa to hand it to Leon so he could protect himself.

In the next few days, Anna reviewed during the day, rested well at night, and at the same time, she did not forget to continue making extracts for Mage Dawkins..…She was as busy as a bee, and did not have time to think too much.

Seven days after they had left, the investigation team came back with their original numbers, but at the same time, they returned without success.

Anna only knew the general situation through Teresa. After the investigation team reached the line of life and death, they found that everything seemed to be back to normal. Only the bones of some demonic creatures near the line of life and death, which should have come from the depths of the line, proved that something strange had happened there.

Naturally, it was impossible for the investigation team to return without success. Going deeper, there were more and more demonic creatures and the atmosphere made them more and more uneasy, but they found nothing unusual.

Therefore, after spending five days inside the line of life and death, the investigation team had to go back the same way. However, fortunately, there were often mages who went to the line of life and death. If there was any abnormality, they would report to the Association as soon as possible. That’s all there was to it for now.

Based on Anna’s experience in watching various film and television dramas, this anomaly was likely to be a precursor to some kind of big change, but those three-star and four-star mages had done in-depth investigations to no avail. Of course, she would be even less likely to find something out.

As the saying goes, when the sky is falling, there are tall people to hold it up. The most important thing for her at the moment was the promotion examination.

The day before the exam, Anna and Natalie went to the registration office to receive the specific arrangements for the exam.

There were a total of four assessment subjects, which would be completed in a single day: theory and spiritual power in the morning, and potion and actual combat in the afternoon. The overall scale of the Mage Association was not large. There were 33 mage’s disciples in total, and not everyone was taking the exam. Anna heard from the staff at the registration office that a total of 24 people were signed up for the promotion exam this time, so the size of the test room required was not very large.

The theoretical assessment was arranged in the study room outside the elementary library. The examination time was from 8:00 to 10:00 in the morning. Latecomers we’re not allowed to enter the venue, but the exam could be handed in early. The mental strength assessment was in the meditation room. The test time was from 10:00 to 12:00. During this period, candidates would enter the mediation room according to their candidate number. Each session took about five minutes. There would be two examination rooms proceeding at the same time. Those who came after 12 would receive a zero. During the assessment, the proctor would select a few spells from the question bank and ask the candidates to display them on the spot.

In the afternoon, the exam would start at one o’clock. The exam location was the potion lab. It was similar to the mental power exam, but because the potion preparation time took slightly longer, there were four exam rooms. The proctor would pick a potion from the question bank and ask the candidates to prepare it on the spot. The success of preparation was the most basic requirement, and the proctor would grade according to the performance during the preparation process.
