The Despicable Potion Effects (2)

After listening to Anna, she slumped on the chair and said nothing for a long time.

She actually did such a thing in those two short minutes just now! And she had no memory at all!

Anna looked at Natalie helplessly and was about to cry: “I’m going to drop out of school and go home.”

“Huh?” Natalie looked at Anna puzzled.

Anna covered her face, feeling like she was going crazy.

Those “seductive” acts just now weren’t really a big deal. Didn’t she do something similar at Natalie’s birthday party before? Just not as explicit as today, but essentially the same.

But what was difficult for her to accept was what the demon said. He said that the failed potion would make her “follow their deepest inner desires”. Impossible; wasn’t her deepest inner desire to kill him or get rid of him? How could it be to seduce him!

Anna suddenly stood up after only struggling with her thoughts for a minute or two.

She didn’t believe what the demon said, she wanted to find out what happened to the potion by herself!

But it wasn’t until now that Anna realized; the bottle of potion had been taken away by the demon.

Now Anna’s suspicion was even greater. He was obviously destroying the evidence. Obviously, there was something wrong with what he said!

Anna thought the demon was really naive. Couldn’t she just make another copy?

She very much suspected that there was something wrong with the instructions given by the demon. Otherwise, she had done well with all the other potions, so how could something go so wrong when he gave out advice? She was very careful before, utilizing the method she had learned in the laboratory before of lightly sniffing the reagents. If she leaned towards the bottle and took a big inhale, she might not be able to wake up for ten minutes.

The potion ingredients had been used up just now, so Anna aggressively took out some money and went to the management office to buy two more copies. However, the management office told her that the 150 copies in stock had just been sold out, and it would take about a week to replenish the stock.

“Did Mage Raymond come to buy it?” Anna asked.

The management staff gave her a positive answer.

Sure enough, he was completely destroying the evidence!

Anna became more and more sure that what the demon said just now was a lie. Could she not know what her deepest inner desires were? Of course it was to get rid of the demon! On the other hand, seducing him would make it impossible for her to get rid of him; she would actually die faster this way.

Anna decided to go to Dawkins and ask him what he thought of the method that the demon suggested.

But in the next moment, she hesitated. Speaking of which, Mage Dawkins became a two-star Mage based on his age and accumulation, and he only successfully developed the new potion after receiving the demon’s guidance. It could be seen that he was essentially a bottom of the barrel student. Would it even be any use if she went to ask Hawkins?

So, Anna turned around and went to the second floor to find Leon. If he was there and his fiancee was not, then she would quickly ask him. If his fiancee was there, then she would pretend to just be passing by.

Anna found Leon’s potion lab and saw that he was the only one in it. She breathed a sigh of relief and went to see how far along he had progressed.

About three minutes later, seeing that Leon had finished the procedure, Anna hurriedly knocked on the door and pushed in.

Seeing Anna, Leon was a little surprised. Before Anna could speak, he said apologetically, “Sorry, I made you feel wronged just now.”

“It’s okay, it doesn’t matter to me.” Anna was actually not very happy to talk to Leon about his fiancee. After all, she didn’t want to say good things about Grace, but she couldn’t say anything bad about Grace in front of Leon, so she just responded casually. In one sentence, she immediately explained her intention, “I had a problem with the ‘Spine of the Mountains’ potion just now…”

After listening to Anna’s story, Leon fell into deep thought. He thought for a while before saying, “I’ll know if I try.”

“Don’t try it!” Anna said quickly. Of course, when she told Leon, her reaction after inhaling the gas was blurred. It was too shameful for her to say it at all.

Leon was silent for a few seconds and said, “It’s hard for me to figure it out without trying.”

Anna said that she lost consciousness for about two minutes after inhaling the potion and did some inappropriate things. He didn’t ask much after listening to her dancing around the topic, but if he didn’t try it himself, it would be really difficult to figure out the problem.

Anna hesitated for a while before saying, “You can’t even recreate it even if you wanted to. The management office’s raw ingredients for the ‘Spine of Mountains and Rivers’ potion are all gone, and it will only be restocked in a week.”

Leon was slightly surprised.

Anna should have explained why such a strange thing would happen, but she thought about it and decided that she would only ask the necessary questions. It would be unnecessary to drag him into her “fight” with the demon.

“Let’s wait for the restock. I’m not in a hurry anyway,” Anna said. “If you want to try it, please call me. Also, don’t smell the potion.”

Leon didn’t ask more. He nodded and said, “Okay.”

“Then I’ll head out first, sorry for disturbing you.” Anna waved her hand and left quickly.

Leon watched Anna leave, and suddenly remembered that each of the two potions he was going to make later had one ingredient, which was also one of the ingredients needed for the “Spine of Mountains and Rivers” potion.

For the convenience of mages, the management office usually sold the raw materials in one potion as a unit after matching the raw materials for commonly used potions. And these raw materials, if not yet processed, could be used in other potions.

Leon hesitated for a moment, picked out the raw materials needed for “The Spine of Mountains and Rivers”, and began to prepare it according to the “wrong way” that Anna told him about.
