Birthday Banquet (5)

Anna hadn’t had dinner yet. She glanced around and saw that there was self-service food. Before walking over, she asked the demon, “I want to have something to eat first, do you want to come with me?”

Rothgarr didn’t eat dinner yet, so he nodded and walked to the buffet table with Anna.

Anna first ate two pieces of dim sum, and then slowly picked what she else wanted to eat. After a while, she stopped when she was nearly full.

“Anna!” Natalie walked over quickly and clung to Anna’s arm. The exhaustion she had from greeting at the door seemed to be swept away.

Anna smiled: “Happy birthday, Natalie!”

“Thank you, Anna! I’m so glad to have you with me on my birthday this year!” Natalie blushed and asked expectantly, “Can you accompany me on my birthday next year?”

“Of course.” Ana replied, provided she wasn’t killed by a demon that didn’t achieve his goal.

“That’s great! Come on, I’ll show you my room!” Natalie said excitedly, and then she lowered her voice and asked, “Is that okay, Mage Raymond?”

Anna smiled and said, “It’s okay, he’s not going to follow us to a lady’s bedroom.”

Anna walked up to Rothgarr and said, “I’ll go to her room with Natalie first.”

Rothgarr said coldly, “En.”

Anna ignored his attitude, and happily followed Natalie upstairs after letting him know.

Natalie’s bedroom was on the third floor. It was a suite. The inside was entirely pink, like a little princess’ room.

Natalie shyly said: “My room was like this ten years ago, and it has never changed…”

“It’s pretty good, very child-like.” Anna smiled.

Seeing only curiosity and appreciation in Anna’s eyes, Natalie was relieved and took Anna to see her collection. Even after becoming a mage, Natalie’s preferences were not much different from ordinary noble girls. She liked all kinds of beautiful clothes, delicate handmade dolls, and small and cute accessories…

The two laughed for a while, and Anna suddenly remembered the demon’s gift and asked, “Natalie, what gift did Mage Raymond give you?” She was still a little worried about whether the demon’s gift would bring any danger to Natalie.

Natalie said, “Just some gold coins and hollow crystals.”

Anna blinked: “How familiar.”

Natalie lowered her voice and said, “I also think so… it’s like the apology gifts from the York family to Mage Raymond before.”

Anna also remembered the gold coins and hollow crystals that she didn’t get her hands on, and couldn’t help laughing: “So he just grabbed a handful after he got home and threw it into the box as a gift for you.”

As long as it wasn’t the demon’s own things, she could be rest assured.

“Probably…” Natalie giggled. Although the gift might not end up in her hands in the end, she was still very happy. Despite riding on Anna’s coattails, Mage Raymond’s gift was given to her just like Anna’s gift. Whereas the birthday present that others gave her were actually flattery to her father.

While Anna and Natalie were happily enjoying their private time upstairs, Rothgarr sat in the corner with cold eyes. Suddenly, his face changed slightly, and he looked straight in a certain direction.

It was a beautiful teenage girl who was talking to the madams around her, making them laugh, but what caught Rothgarr’s attention was a pendant hanging on the girl’s chest. On the pendant was something he was familiar with, as if it was his own. But he didn’t have any impression of the pendant at all.

The girl was very keen. After Rothgarr looked at her for a while, she also looked over. After seeing who was staring at her, the girl raised her eyebrows in surprise, and excused herself from the ladies around her. Then she walked gracefully in front of Rothgarr.

“Mage Raymond, it’s a great honor to meet you here. My name is Magnolia. If you want, you can call me Margo.” The girl bowed gracefully, her slender neck was soft and her corset skirt was tight. The beautiful curves it created were dazzlingly white under the candlelight, attracting the attention of others.

The girl knew what posture made her look the most beautiful, and when she felt the man’s gaze fall on her chest, she sneered softly on the inside. So what if he was a young and talented mage? In the end, he was but a hot-blooded man.

The girl had just stood up when she heard the man in front of her ask, “Where did your pendant come from?”

She frowned slightly. Was he just looking at the pendant on her chest?

She chuckled and said: “You really have a great eye, this is a ruby

pendant passed down from my ancestors. It is said that only those who have the beauty recognized by it can wear it without receiving bad luck. I have already worn this pendant for ten years.”

Rothgarr didn’t listen to her exalting her own beauty, but looked at the pendant and wondered what it was all about.

It had been nearly a hundred years since he last came to the Human Realm. Did he leave behind such a pendant? Or maybe he sealed something in the pendant?

Because he couldn’t remember, Rothgarr didn’t bother to think about it. Anyway, it wouldn’t have any effect on what he was doing now.

He retracted his gaze from the pendant and sneered: “This pendant has no such use, otherwise you would be long dead.”

Magnolia was stunned when she heard this, and then realized that Mage Raymond was saying that she was not as beautiful as she said.

She almost couldn’t keep the smile on her face.

It seemed that she still underestimated Mage Raymond. He did not have much of a gentlemanly demeanor as rumored, but because of this, it was more interesting to get him to surrender to her charms, wasn’t it?
