Picked up an Adolescent (1)

When she saw the person moaning on the ground clearly, Anna quickly extinguished the light in her hand.

Whether in Blue Rock City or Black Cloud City, fallen mages were a taboo.

But Anna had received a great favor from Dubian. It was Dubian who guided her into the world of mages. In addition, she knew what the natural elements were and knew a little about the Vatican, so she didn’t feel repulsed by fallen mages, and even felt a touch of kindness for them.

Based on what she had seen when the light was still shining, Anna walked over to the boy and gently tapped on his shoulders. She whispered to him: "Buddy, wake up!"

But this boy might have been seriously injured, because he did not wake up.

Anna remembered that Dubian's face was also covered with dark lines back then. Because of severely injured mental power and elemental disorder, the dark element formed highly recognizable dark lines on the surface of one’s body.

If he was just left out here like this, I'm afraid he would be arrested and taken to the church as soon as he is discovered the next morning!

Regardless of whether it was lue Rock City or Black Cloud City, the religious atmosphere was very strong, but because Anna stayed at the Mage Association for most of her time, she did not realize it.

The mages had supernatural powers, so of course they weren’t in awe of the priests. Usually, not many mages would talk about the goddess at every turn.

Anna only hesitated for a moment. Then, she lifted up the boy, supplemented by the wind gathering technique, and took him to the attic.

This young male was probably half a head shorter than her. Fortunately, his body was not particularly thin. Even if he was being hunted down, he was a mage after all. It wasn’t a problem for him to make sure he was well fed.

Anna took him to her room, had him sit down against the wall, and went to the room to find a piece of rope. She tied his hands behind his back, and arranged him in a comfortable posture as much as possible. She stepped aside when she was done and sat on the mat she usually used to meditate, and watched the boy.

The young man's face was tender and delicate, and even with the dark lines, she could tell that he had the face of someone who was sure to break hearts in the future. With his eyes closed and unmoving, he looked harmless like a little angel.

However, although Anna had a good impression of fallen mages and was willing to help the pitiful group of them as much as possible, she couldn’t rule out the possibility that this was a bad child, so she tied him up first.

Fortunately, the dark lines on his face indicated that his mental power was disordered. Forcibly using mental power would harm himself before hurting others, so she was not afraid to bring him in.

After watching for a while and seeing that there was no sign of him waking up, Anna meditated first. This was her daily homework.

About two hours later, Anna noticed some light movement and ended her meditation.

The young man first moved his body, then slowly opened his eyes. He had a pair of obsidian eyes. Underneath the candlelight, they reflected a moving light.

A fallen angel.…

Anna just had this thought when the confusion on the boy's face disappeared. His eyes widened, and he stared at Anna fiercely, struggling ferociously like a little beast, and at the same time shouted angrily: "How dare you tie me up!"

...Not an angel, but a bear cub!

Anna was a little disappointed. She snapped her fingers and let the boy's attention fall on her palm. She conjured up thunder and lightning flashing in her palm, and stared at the boy. She said, "Shut up, waking everyone up in the dead of night by shouting like this; a fallen mage like you  should be arrested and burned at the church!"

The boy stopped yelling because of the thunder and lightning in Anna's palm, and when he heard her words, he lowered his voice, but his tone was more fierce than before: "I am not some stupid fallen mage!"

Anna missed the gentle Dubian very much. He was also a fallen mage, why was this bear cub so hard to get along with?

"Fine, it should be fine if I call you a dark mage, right?" Anna compromised in good temper.

Unexpectedly, the boy didn't appreciate it at all, and said fiercely: "I'm not a stupid dark mage either!"

Anna: "...Alright, then you shut up."

"I won't shut up, why should I listen to you?" The boy cried extremely rebelliously, but his voice was actually not loud.

Anna was happy: "If you have the ability, shout loudly. I'll send you off."

The boy glared at Anna, but shut up.

Anna thought, fortunately, although bearish, he was not completely unreasonable.

Anna said: "I once met a very good fallen mage. The love for the house extends even to the crows perching on its roof.* I have no malice against you. But just in case, I tied you up. As long as I make sure that you are harmless, I will let you go."

[T/N: Idiom that means when you love someone, you love everything about/involved with that person. Anna extends her kindness to this boy because of Dubian.]

The boy said impatiently: "I already said that I am not some stupid fallen mage!"

"Don't say bad words." Anna said, walking over and squatting in front of him, "My name is Anna, and I am currently a mage’s disciple of the Mage Association."

The boy looked at Anna with disdain and laughed: "Weakling!"

Weakling?

Anna got angry. She gathered wind in her hands, pulled the boy's arm and dragged him up, and walked towards the door.
