Battle For Her (1)

After getting up the next day, Anna began observing the demon. She wanted to figure out whether her actions last night had succeeded in saving Natalie’s body.

Natalie didn’t know that her body had gone through a very dangerous crisis of changing ownership, and when she woke up, she prepared breakfast happily.

Anna glanced outside and said to Natalie: “Prepare an extra serving for Mage Raymond.”

Natalie nodded at the thought of yesterday when they brazenly ate the delicious demonic creature hunted by Mage Raymond.

Anna took the breakfast prepared by Natalie, which consisted of some meat jerky, bread, and a glass of water. She walked outside the carriage, knocked on the door and said, “Mage Raymond, we have prepared some breakfast for you.”

Rothgarr frowned subconsciously when he heard Anna’s voice, but when he opened the car door, his expression returned to normal.

The urge he had to kiss Anna last night was only known to him, and it was him being affected by the human body, so he didn’t feel that he needed to have a guilty conscience.

“No need, I have eaten.” Rothgarr refused.

Anna secretly observed the demon’s expression, but she couldn’t pick out any unnaturalness in his expression, nor could she tell whether he had any doubts about her sexuality.

She briefly considered whether to pretend to be unsteady and fall on him, but quickly rejected the idea; going overboard was as bad as falling short.

She smiled and said, “You can eat a little more. Natalie’s family chef is very creative in preparing the meat jerky, and it tastes very good.”

Rothgarr looked at Anna’s smiling face. He suddenly took what was in her hand and closed the carriage door.

Anna, who was shut outside, stared at the carriage door and stood there for a few seconds before returning to Natalie’s carriage.

Natalie asked expectantly: “Did Mage Raymond accept the food? Did he like the taste of the meat jerky?”

“He accepted it, but he hadn’t eaten it yet when I left.” Anna smiled, “Don’t worry, he will like it, it tastes really good!”

Anna and Natalie’s carriage were full of giggles and laughs as they prepared for today’s training.

Considering the limit on the number of clothes she could bring as well as the hygiene problem, Anna thought that after today, they should head back to the city. Fortunately, they were not far from the city, and it wasn’t a big deal to be away for a while.

As usual, Rothgarr was in front, and Anna and Natalie were behind. They walked together for about a mile in the direction of the line of life and death, and arrived at yesterday’s location.

Training here, one wouldn’t have to worry about running into others, and they also didn’t have to worry about running into demonic creatures.

Anna first reviewed what she had learned yesterday with Natalie, and felt relieved when she saw that Natalie hadn’t forgotten it overnight.

And when the demon taught her, it was her best opportunity to continue observing him.

Yesterday’s conversation between the two really worked. The amount of training the demon gave her today was not as much as yesterday, and his requirements were not so demanding. She could meet them with ease and had energy left to draw inferences and thoroughly understand the material he taught.

When another round was over and they paused for a break, Natalie whispered: “Anna, I think your level of combat looks really good now.”

“Mage Raymond is a good teacher.” Anna praised sincerely.

The two were chatting while resting and recovering. On the other hand, Rothgarr suddenly stood up. He looked in a certain direction, his expression a little imposing.

Anna was talking to Natalie about how sleeping was helpful for memory consolidation. Noticing the demon’s abnormal behavior, she couldn’t help but look at him nervously.

Rothgarr was near the line of life and death, and from time to time he would use a detection technique. This was almost a reflex of his. Last night he knew that Anna was standing outside because of this. The detection technique he habitually used was slightly different from that of the Human Realm and other people were unable to notice it.

Just now, there was an unusual movement at the limit of Raymond’s detection abilities, and it was less than a quarter of a mile away.

“Mage Raymond, what happened? Shall we retreat first, so as not to hold you back?” Anna asked the demon. She was ready to run back with Natalie. She consciously felt that after the demon’s devil training, her actual combat level had been upgraded from kindergarten to elementary school, but any unexpected situation would certainly overwhelm her.

Rothgarr saw Anna’s cowardness and laughed sarcastically: “Demonic creatures are approaching, it’s too late to run.”

Humans couldn’t outrun demonic creatures. Even if magic could help you run faster, the mental power of ordinary people could not compare with the physical power of demonic creatures.

There were so many demonic creatures that could run at full speed for a whole day.

“Demonic creatures?” Anna’s expression changed, “Could it be that the companions of the six-winged chicken yesterday came to avenge it?”

“Six-winged chickens are solitary demonic creatures, they don’t have companions.” Rothgarr sneered, “You two go up the tree first.”

He paused for a while, then turned to look at Anna: “Are you able to go up by yourself?”

Seeing that he was obviously talking about last night and had a subtle expression on his face, Anna smiled awkwardly: “I can!”

She had practiced in the morning, and had no problem going up a tree. It wouldn’t be a problem for her to bring someone up as well.
