Rejected the Demon’s Marriage Proposal Thousands of Times Chapter 25.3

Do you Like It (3)

When Anna packed up and left, Rothgarr hadn't come up with a definite answer, but he was not in a hurry.

Since it seemed that Anna's interest in the Holy Son was not so great now, it was better for him to try more "romantic" methods.

As soon as Anna, who was carrying a food container,   walked into the garden, she saw an eye-catching figure.

When she clearly saw a head of long, silver hair, she got nervous. Anna quickly lowered her head pretending that she didn't see anything, and was about to slip past quickly.

She, with great difficulty, had used Parrish to give the demon the illusion that she was not interested in the Holy Son, so she didn't want her hard work to be all for nothing.

She thought that the demon didn't make sense at all. Even if she just appeared in the garden with the Holy Son, the demon would mistakenly think she was making a move on the Holy Son if he saw them. If the demon possessed the Holy Son, it would really be a negative thing to both the Holy Son and herself.

Anna lowered her head and sped up. Who knew that what goes around comes around; before, she had tried every means to get close to Ulysses who had not yet been possessed by the demon; and now, she wanted to avoid the pure Holy Son with all her might.

Although the tall figure was still a few meters away, the gentle and alienated voice reached Anna's ears, "Please wait a moment."

Could she pretend not to hear him?

She didn’t want to do anything suspicious to make Holy Son suspicious of her, so Anna paused and looked up at the beautiful figure who seemed to be surrounded by a halo of light. She quickly lowered her head and said, "My noble Lord the Holy Son, what orders do you have for me?"

The Holy Son had a very shallow smile on his face, and he seemed cold yet compassionate.

"The four-star mage in the mansion, do you know where he lives?"

Anna was taken aback.

Huh? He was actually going for the demon? Was the Holy Son intending to go beat up the demon?

Although the demon didn’t seem to be afraid of the Holy Son at all, what if it was the demon who overestimated his own strength? After all, the Holy Son in front of her looked to be really powerful.

These thoughts flashed in Anna's mind. The place where the demon lived was not a secret; the Holy Son could have found out by asking anyone, so of course she would not try to hide anything from him.

"He lives in that small building over there." Anna pointed to the path where she had come from and answered him respectfully.

The Holy Son nodded slightly; his gaze fell into the distance, but he just stood there, not making a move to leave.

Anna saw that he didn't say anything, and then left silently after saluting.

Under Rebecca's teaching, her etiquette was absolutely impeccable.

When Anna returned to the kitchen, she was still wondering if the Holy Son was cultivating his energy. He didn't start trouble with the demon right away; it could be seen that he was not reckless at all, and she had a little more confidence in him.

She really hoped that when she sent the demon’s dinner over later, she would find that he was no longer in Ulysses' body.

Anna prayed silently, but remembered the time when she went to deliver food to Parrish. She was ecstatic when she saw that the demon was gone, thinking that Ulysses had driven out the demon, but turned her head to see that the demon was attached to Ulysses. The sight was so uncomfortable...it wouldn’t be the same this time, right?

Anna was worried the whole day. When she sent dinner over and found out that the demon was still possessing Ulysses, she didn't know whether to be relieved or disappointed.

She didn't dare to ask whether the Holy Son had been here, for fear that the demon thought she liked the Holy Son and attacked the Holy Son in advance.

This time, Anna saw nothing on the table. Relieved, she slowly took out the food and set it on the table. As soon as she was about to withdraw to the side, she heard the demon say: "Look, do you like it?"

Anna followed the demon's sight. It turned out that there was a hanger on the side of the room with a dozen, differently designed, long skirts. The bright colors danced together like the shine of the jewels she had seen at noon, and it was all very picturesque.

Thinking of this, Anna's face changed.

She already saw the fate of these clothes, which was to be burnt to ashes.

"I like it very much." Anna replied sadly.

Rothgarr was not surprised by Anna's answer. Even he thought these dresses were good looking. He thought of what happened at lunch and raised his eyebrows: "Still don’t want it?"

Anna listened to his voice which was accompanied by a malicious smile. His words seemed to tell her plainly that if she didn't want it, he would burn them all like at noon.

Whatever, it was not her money that was being burned...

Anna sullenly replied: "I don’t want it."

"Take a closer look." Rothgarr said.

Anna was taken aback for a moment. After what the demon said, she took another look at the skirts. Upon closer inspection, she discovered that the decorations of these skirts...used gold coins!

Some of those coins were attached to the collar, some were attached to the hem of the skirt, and some were placed in a row on the waist, like a belt made of coins.

Anna felt ashamed at the moment.

Books, jewelry, skirts; these things had to be sold off to get gold coins, but now, shiny gold coins were right in front of her. There were so many skirt decorations; at the very least, there were seven or eight gold coins, dozens of silver coins, and hundreds of copper coins.

She was going to go crazy.

Anna looked at the demon in indignation; she thought that he truly was a demon, using this type of method to "torture" her!

Rothgarr was indeed seriously thinking about improving his "romantic moves," She accepted all of Parrish's things; why didn’t she want his?
