Chapter 492 161 - Perserios territory - part 5 - Countering the plan that was thirty years in the making (part 24)

"(MASTER! WE ARE IN BIG TROUBLE! REALLY BIG!)"

A murky-black sphere of light appeared in the middle of a snow-made shelter, bringing a severely wounded blue-haired boy with it, and called out alarmed beyond any belief.

"Move out of the way! Private visit!"

Before the black-haired boy could properly react, the blond-haired girl pushed past him and kneeled by the younger boy, immediately using one of her spells.

"Ultra Heal!"

Only after a second or two of hesitation, to make sure that no complication would occur with healing everything at once, did Burushi cast another one of her spells, causing the air to tremble around her and her patient as if in the middle of a heatwave.

"What happened? Did the borrowed time sentinels expire and the people brought back died again, causing the survivors to fight each other?"

Zoemi turned away from the colorless girl surrounded by three sentinels orbiting her while constantly casting spells at her, and asked after a brief glance at the fallen Devios.

"(As if...! Master! Another William showed up!"

"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!"

The murky-black sphere twitched in the vibrating air and reported in an urgent voice, stunning Zoemi out of the calmness.

"(This one has dark hair and bluish eyes, and his name is George but the magicians kept calling him Geroizen! The dead people died again and he showed up right then – he killed most of the survivors using a similar power that William used – he was also calling it laws, but he was a lot weaker! And he could copy a spell! This guy had defeated him, but it turned out to be just a copy, and then George copied the water spear spell and hit him from behind! He even talked about the spiritual power, star power, and a Heavenly Star Nation! Ah, but he said that he was only a mixed breed, and that's why his Law could copy spells because normally it is impossible!)"

The sentinel transferred its thoughts to Zoemi and everyone in reach because it did not bother to use a version of a spell targeting one specific person.

"Private visit. Alright, he is fine – but for that whole George..."

Burushi made sure that Devios condition stabilized and nodded to herself before inching to the side and turning to look up at the pale-faced Zoemi.

"What laws did he use?"

"That's what is bothering you?!"

Zoemi gulped down his saliva and asked, staring intensely at his sentinel, and his words certainly shocked Burushi as she did not expect that to be the oy's first question.

"(Umm... Law of Taurus, and Law of Gemini – Taurus made him stronger than the magicians, and Gemini was the copying one.)"

The murky-black sphere hesitated but ended up pulling itself together and answered with a passing amount of confidence.

"He didn't use the Law of Aquarius?"

The black-haired boy asked, clenching his fists.

"He did not – he said that he wasn't born under the Aquarius constellation, and it seemed that he couldn't use it – at least not on a large enough scale he wanted to at that moment."

The sentinel trembled, shifting from side to side giving out more context.

"Umm... knock, knock... excuse me...? You are talking about Geroizen...?"

While the spell and its master had an intense exchange of information, someone walked into the snow shelter hesitantly, speaking out the sound of knocking unable to do the motion properly because of the material the structure was constructed of.

That person was the hazmat-suit-wearing acid magician.

"Hold on... George.. Georizen... Geroizen?! WHY DID YOU SAY THAT THE THIRD PERSON YOU WANT TO HELP IS A MAGICIAN WHEN IT'S A STAR POWER USER?!"

"...!"

Seeing her enter and connecting the dots, the black-haired boy roared in anger, causing the acid magician to flinch and back away as she started tearing up.

"M-m-m-my lord... ! But... But what is a star power user...? Isn't Geroizen a magician just like us...?"

"..."

The acid magician's personality switched over to Roiso and the girl cried out, looking pleadingly and apologetically over at Zoemi, who calmed down after seeing her reaction.

"...please, don't shout at her... didn't you figure out already that both of them are a little dumb...?"

"...!"

Another voice – this one very weak - joined in the conversation, everyone look in the direction it was coming from just to see the girl with the only color on her being the bluish accents at the tips of her pure-white hair, rolling over to the side and looking at them with an upset expression.

"Meta! Are feeling better already?!"

Seeing her like that, Roiso brightened up and called out in relief, making the other girl smile softly.

"Experiencing your acid attribute without being melted by it is extremely weird – although I bet the real thing would be much more painful... But it is working... I can't feel the burden of the curses anymore. Fucking Barbariacca nation... I hope their king will drop dead without achieving shit."

Metavicero shrugged her shoulders before turning over at her back and breathing out – before her expression hardened and she cursed, glaring at the ceiling of their shelter.

"Ahh... that felt good to say – yeah, at least that one is gone completely."

She breathed out in satisfaction and lifted her hand, putting it on her stomach and rubbing it gently.

"Say... I know that I am a prisoner and all, but will it be possible for me to get something to eat? I feel like the anti-curse treatment had burnt all of my energy and I'm staring."

The white-as-snow magician asked moving only her head and looking between the blond-haired girl and the black-haired boy.

"...eh...? And who is this guy...?"

She asked in confusion, only now realizing that there was one more patient in the same space getting treated by Burushi.

"Metavicero. What do you know about George? Did he say where is the Heavenly Star Nation? How did he get here, or anything? Is the Heavenly Star Nation hidden like Barbariacca nation tried to be?"

Zoemi apologetically patted Roiso's back and moved onto the colorless girl, crouching over the makeshift bed she was laying on.

"Geroizen isn't from any other nation. He is the son of the third daughter of the Tencelion family. From what he said, his father was a guy who his mother found on a beach while visiting a seaside territory for health reasons. She fell in love with the guy at the first sight and made her father bring the guy to their territory. They actually fell in love and despite – or maybe because of – the third young lady Tencelion's bad health, the head of the family allowed them to get married. Tno one expected Geroizen to be born, but somehow the sickly lady carried out the pregnancy properly and although her health took an even bigger hit, she managed to survive. The three of them were living peacefully for a few years, near the main mansion of the Tencelion family. Geroizne's father couldn't use magic, but he was a martial artist, and Geroizen was the same – his father was teaching him all that he knew. But the teachings couldn't be completed because he died. Geroizen said it was because of mana poisoning, and that his father was very strong to survive that long, to begin with."

Metavicero gulped down whatever saliva was left in her dry throat and began telling a whole story, not getting into too much detail but still pointing out the things she found most important.

"Geroizen didn't want to speak about his father to us magicians besides that, so I am unable to tell you about that other nation."

She added, looking apologetically at the black-haired boy.

"There is one very important thing you need to know about him, besides the weird power he uses – spells don't really work on him – and that includes hexes and curses."

"Excuse me...? So he isn't being controlled like you two were...?"

Metavicero explained, causing Zoemi to straighten his back and ask in disbelief, turning around and looking at the acid magician with accusation.

"Let me finish, please."

"..."

Metavicero raised her hand and waved it to get back the black-haired boy's attention, which happened though Zoemi didn't look particularly pleased.

"Geroizen isn't acting under any hexes or curses. The one affected by them is his mother."

"...go on..."

The colorless girl revealed, to which Zoemi raised his brow and nodded at her encouragingly.

"Her health has always been bad, it worsened because of giving birth to him – similarly to how Mirienne's parents were approached with treatment for their daughter, Geroizen was approached with an offer about saving his mother."

Metavicero said and stopped talking for a moment to take a breath.

"But they cursed her instead and are holding her hostage."

Burushi was the one to say the thing that she and Zoemi thought, shaking her head with disgust.

"If that was the case then Geroizen would be keener on betraying them. The problem is that some of the curses intertwined with each other are actually holding back the advancement of the illness gnawing on his mother's life and even healing it up bit by bit. Although, in the end, there are the control ones in there too."

Metvicero sighed and made eye contact with Burushi before clearing up the slight misunderstanding.

"Carrot and a stick, literally... We do have the healer magician right here, so George might be willing to switch sides... But since magic doesn't work on him all that much, things might not go as lucky as with you two."

Zoemi began nodding his head with a grim expression, before motioning with his chin at Metavicero and Roiso.
