Chapter 384 Ambition

"This is my order…"

"Captain Lee, you are now the regional Commander in Planet Darvis".

"Yes Sir". The Elementalist accepted the orders.

Then, the General's voice addressed the last of the 2 captains.

"Captain Chan, have you enchanted weapons before?"

"Depending on the weapon Grade Sir".

"Do you have what it takes to enchant a Grade B Weapon?"

"Precisely, do you have what it takes to enchant Champion Onana's best mechanic suit?"

Silence reigned for a few seconds as the captain thought and evaluated his options, then he finally replied.

"I've never enchanted a war machine of that Grade before but I have the relevant Mage Class knowledge. I believe if given enough time, I can do it".

"Good, this is your new order".

"You are to take one of the active Destroyers in Planet Darvis and set course for Planet Titania at once!"

"Hand over all your pending duties to Captain Lee".

"Also, remember to bring anything that would aid in your enchantment".

"Yes, Sir!"

With a slight buzzing sound, the call finally disconnected.

Instantly, both Captains looked at each other as a lot of things went through their minds. They were mostly relieved that their General seemed well and fine despite contacting them last 5 years ago.

Their focus went to their new orders.

"Did they discover something valuable in Planet Titania?" Captain Lee asked.

"Probably". Captain Chan rubbed his chin. "It is the only explanation to why they spent the last 5 years there without contacting us much".

"And I have a hunch, this discovery must be related to metals".

"That is the only reason a mechanic of the Champion's level will be tied back down. Besides, he said it himself, he'll only act once he is fascinated by something".

Captain Chan looked at his counterpart. "Well, it seems our buddy time spent together in Planet Darvis comes to an end here".

"Whatever you'll do there, goodluck". Captain Lee congratulated him.

15 minutes later, a large humming sound reverberated followed by a spike in the energy reading machines of the Core Protection Alliance as they were put into high alert. They watched as the Destroyer levitated.

They watched as it accelerated without attacking them.

Whoosh!

In just a few minutes, the Destroyer exceeded Planet Darvis' escape gravity.

Giant Nak Fortress…

On arriving at the Nak Navy base built on the asteroid, everything was already set in place for Captain Chan. Clearly, General Aztog already contacted them ahead of time to arrange things on his behalf.

Captain Chan simply came here to take a team of assistant Mages.

Just a few dozen minutes later, the Destroyer moved again.

After cycling it's FTL drives appropriately, the Destroyer jumped into warp travel as they disappeared from real space the next moment.

Champion Onana's Fortress…

This was what they finally decided to call the asteroid that they settled on after Champion Onana's decision for them to spend 5 years here studying the fantastic Space Bugs that were bred in Planet Titania.

At this moment, Onana was once again stuck in his mechanic workshop.

With delicate machinery on his hands, he dissected and pried the body of a Special Space Bug open as he carefully examined the tiny details in its creation.

Standing at the door to this workshop, General Aztog watched quietly.

Having spent 5 years alongside the Champion stuck in this asteroid, General Aztog already grew used to him. Like Champion Onana said, he only acted when he was fascinated by something.

The only problem was, when he became fascinated by something, it became literally impossible to draw him away as he became obsessed with it.

For 5 years, Champion Onana was holed up inside this mechanic workshop.

'This guy…, this diligence…' General Aztog never stopped being amazed.

"Just as I thought". Champion Onana muttered with a smile.

"Huh?"

Champion Onana finally raised his head to look at the General. "For a long time, I've already deduced that the Special Space Bugs that I met with Psychic and other powers are mostly classified as Grade C beasts".

"The only inconsistency was their attack power".

"Their attack power is above any other Grade C beast that I have met".

"To deduce the secret, I launched targeted research into this".

He smiled. "I finally discovered their secret, if I am not wrong, the Unique Space Bugs are the only Grade B beasts in Planet Titania".

"The reason why the attack power of the Special Space Bugs is so powerful is because of a metal that they integrated in their body through evolution".

"This metal". He picked a silver metal and showed it to the General.

"This is the main reason for their outstandingly high attack power". His voice became excited. "Like I thought, Magic Mithril is just the surface metal, there are much more cool and interesting metals underneath".

"This is my ultimate goal; I must get them". His eyes gleamed.

"Besides, there are other metal combinations in their body that enable processes like their combined blood attack and the super attacks".

"All these metals already evolved in their bodies over time".

"Like this metal". He picked up another metal silvery white metal that emitted wisps of white mist. "I call it the Psycho Metal; it is what grants the Special Space Bugs Psychic powers".

He grinned. Over the years, we've already scoured the Radioactive Giant numerous times and we've confirmed that there are only 3 Unique Space Bugs".

"3 Grade B Beasts, that is still a ridiculously strong force but it's manageable".

"Once I upgrade my mechanical suit, Berserker, I believe we can take them on". He clenched his fists. "All I need now is that Mage".

The Destroyer came out of warp travel to meet a fierce battlefield in space.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Captain Lee was shocked as he discovered familiar Battleships tangling fiercely against a horde of Bugs that floated in space. Instantly after they detected the new threat, the angry Bugs also flooded towards the Destroyer as he reacted.

"Activate Defense Systems!"

"Retaliate!"

The crew of the Destroyer went to work.

In just a few seconds, it gathered power as it's main weapon armaments roared to life, bashing the hundreds of thousands of Bugs with long-ranged firepower as a lot of them were wiped out.

The battle raged for dozens of minutes as some of the Battleships got damaged while millions of Bugs were wiped out.

After the battle close to the asteroid was over, the remaining Bugs finally retreated while the Battleships also retreated into the asteroid.

As the Destroyer drifted close to the asteroid, Captain Lee received a call.

He saw a familiar face appear through the projection.

"Yeoh! It's been 5 years".

"Yeah". The female Captain smirked.

"The Champion is waiting for you, don't keep him waiting".

"Got it".

Captain Lee finally descended into this base.
