Seeing the new tab that appeared in his virtual interface status, Legolas took a deep breath and savored it as a feeling of satisfaction spread through him.

Most of the times, the super progression ranking was not always linear. A Grade D Superhuman could easily thrash a Grade E Superhuman, but few Grade D Superhumans could effortlessly thrash up to 10 Grade E Superhumans.

If you take it a step upwards, it was almost the same. Any Grade C Superhuman could thrash a Grade D Superhuman, but the second part was also different since the power scale increased with every progression.

A typical Grade C Superhuman could singlehandedly thrash more than 100 Grade D Superhumans before feeling the heat of his activity.

Upwards, the margin of strength between the grades increased even further.

At the Grade S level, most of the existences at this level already became more or less gods before lesser Supers. Compared to lesser supers, their stamina in battle was almost endless and they could keep on fighting for a long time.

Most Grade S Superhumans could fight any amount of Grade A Superhumans that was thrown at them so long that no special restrictions were imposed on them.

This margin of strength as the levels increased was why Dominator introduced the Overall Power tab among player's status as they grew stronger. This tab could better highlight the power between same-graded supers.

Overall power was a more abstract concept compared to others like levels.

Overall power determines your grade, not your level and it was affected by figures like skills, special abilities, abilities, talents, health points, mana points, and basic attributes. These all affect overall power.

For example, some stats can improve through special treasures the same way Legolas' health points increased exponentially after getting a Supreme Talent.

Those who gets these advantages have higher overall power than their counterparts of the same grade. This was why a level 70 player could still be a Grade D Superhuman, while a level 65 player could be a Grade C Superhuman.

With the overall power tab, this distinction was properly highlighted.

The lowest overall power at a certain grade was the Neophyte, followed by the Middling, then the Advanced, and Veteran powerhouses.

Legolas was an Advanced Grade C Superhuman despite advancing only recently because of his many advantages, his unique contracted beasts, and most especially the Supreme Talent that he now got.

Unfortunately for him, Blade was already a Veteran Grade C Pugilist after inheriting the extremely valuable life experiences of the legend, Jon Stones.

Jon Stones' sacrifice literally supercharged Blade's growth as a Pugilist.

As for Christensen, he was still a Middling Grade C Summoner despite his mythical beast. Legolas theorized though that as Frigga recovered more of his powers, Christensen would grow through the ranks at an astonishing pace.

Overall, Legolas was satisfied with what he got from this trip.

'Using the last gray mist ball slot was the right choice'. He smiled.

Without hesitation, he finally left.

Instantly after returning to the gray world, the first thing that Edgar did was to look up at the powerful existence that remained seated nonchalantly on his throne. He bowed to pay his respects.

Unknown to him, the person that returned with him was already swapped.

Legolas' doppelganger also bowed. "Thank you for this opportunity your Excellency, I will never forget it".

"I will try my best to live up to your expectations".

Hearing this, Edgar felt a surreal feeling engulf his heart. Having played an integral part in Legolas getting the Warpsnare, inside, he felt like he just took part in creating history, he looked up in anticipation.

Like he expected, the Hermit's attention finally rested on him.

"Edgar".

Edgar felt his blood rush faster on hearing his name called.

"I promised to make you a member of my galactic gray world gathering if you succeeded in helping my servant secure the Warpsnare, and you succeeded".

Edgar held his breath.

"Congratulations, you are the newest member of the gray world gathering".

"I trust Legolas already told you most things about the gathering, you'll learn about the rest during the next gathering which will take place in a few weeks' time, be prepared for the gathering".

As soon as the Hermit finished speaking, Edgar kowtowed.

"I sincerely appreciate this once in a lifetime opportunity".

"I will never squander it".

Any dubious thoughts that Edgar previously had about the Hermit were cleared by Legolas' strength. Strength was the best way to convince an outlier, Legolas' strength convinced him that the Hermit was indeed a far greater existence.

He sincerely appreciated the opportunity that he got but thinking about the crazy prize that he had to pay, his mood could not help but dampen.

This did not escape the Hermit's omniscient eyes.

He spoke again. "Life is full of sacrifices".

"Without sacrifices, we can never become greater than we previously were".

The Hermit's deep eyes pierced through Edgar's eyes. "Edgar, tell me, what do you think of the chances of your planet to survive the apocalypse?"

Instantly, memories were projected in Edgar's head. Memories of the apocalyptic beasts steamrolling through their defenses, memories of newspaper and news reports of constant defeats, constant retreats.

Edgar's mood became sadder than ever before at the reality.

He slumped his shoulders. "We won't last long".

"If we don't find a new home in the stars, I doubt we'll be able to escape extinction past another century from now".

Seeing Edgar's bodily reactions, Legolas knew that he already gained the initiative again. He once again fully embodied the persona of the Almighty Hermit as he continued guarding the psychic.

"So embrace your destiny".

"…" Edgar looked up in incomprehension.

"A Warpsnare appearing in your Planet was no coincidence, neither was your meeting with me a coincidence. They are all parts of the strings of fate that directs your destiny, all the events are paving the path to fulfill your destiny".

Edgar still looked like he didn't understand.

Then the Hermit finally dropped the bomb.

"Your destiny is to save Planet Austere from the apocalypse".

"…!"

Edgar was so shocked that he could not speak for minutes.

The Hermit continued. "If you are smart enough to maximize the benefits of being a member of my gathering, you are capable of saving Planet Austere".

"Since the Hunter Society would no longer accept you, become a rebel".

"Become a rebel and become free".

"When you're truly free is the only time that you can save your Planet from the apocalypse, it no longer means much to remain in your comfort zone".

The normal Edgar would have seen all these long talk as outlandish and nonsense a few days ago but now, Edgar listened and saw reason in them, he suddenly felt like he was being addressed by a heavenly sage.

Instantly, everything became clearer to him. 'The Hermit is really a god, only matters concerning whole planets are enough to attract his attention'.

Edgar's eyes shone in epiphany. "Becoming a rebel…"

"That is my destiny?"

"It is my destiny!" His eyes suddenly shone. "Saving my Planet is my destiny!"

At the same time that his mind became firm, Legolas' virtual interface lit up a new notification that surprised him.

Edge looked at his friend with an emotional look on his face. "Are you sure? Is this your decision?"

"Yes". Edgar's eyes shone with conviction and determination.

"I must go rogue, that is the only way to save our Planet".

Edge turned his face away and chuckled like he couldn't believe it. "Seriously, I'm shocked Edgar. A day ago, you barely cared about the affairs of the planet and now you suddenly believe your destiny is to be the savior of our plane?"

"Yes".

Edge looked at his comrade one last time. "I respect your decision but…"

He looked down. "You leave me no choice".

Edge's hand moved fast as he formed a magic sign.

Bzzz!

Edgar docked and rolled away as he was attacked even as he roused his powerful mental power and blasted back at his comrade.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

After a scuffle that left the inn destroyed, causing a great commotion and attracting a lot of attention, Edgar escaped into the woods.

Today, Edgar became a rebel.

Edge watched as Edgar disappeared from his vision. 'I wish you luck Edgar'.
