Old Man Gilliard was the one in charge of the planet core mechanism.

After decades of studying it, Old Man Gilliard slowly left his ignorant status and learned a lot about the planet core. In his understanding, the planet core was a natural energy source that assimilated the natural energy of the universe.

By assimilating this natural energy from stars in space and other extraordinary phenomenon, it made it possible for super energy in a planet.

Humans become superhumans by harnessing this energy stored in the planet core. The law of conversion of energy also applied here.

Since humans could not directly make use of the energy from the planet core, they needed to convert it into another form to be able to use it.

Through class knowledges, humans learned to convert this energy.

Pugilists, Summoners, Elementalists, these were simply ways in which humans in Planet Darvis learned to convert energy from their planet core into.

Old Man Gilliard already theorized long ago that there were more ways that energy from the planet core could be converted into, the only limitation was the class knowledges that were still not available to them.

The more that he learned about the planet core, the more he attracted attention from above until Newton Barnes himself decided to join his research.

With the assistance of this legend of Planet Darvis, his research surged forward. They learned to harness the energy of the planet core in another way.

They learned to harness the energy of the planet core through artificial ways, mostly alien machines. When powered by energy directly from the planet core, a normal superhuman would die while most machines would be overloaded.

The few machines that could survive it though became weapons of mass destruction, Newton disbanded the research team because the power that was harnessed through them was too chaotic and uncontrolled.

Machines were technology that they did not understand, mixing it with the even less understandable planet core would definitely result in a disaster.

Despite scrapping the research team, Newton still gave Gilliard the authority to continue researching on the planet core.

This was the reason why Gilliard became an authority figure after the official establishment of the Core Protection Alliance, such raw power could not be let to fall into the hands of an enemy.

Like Old Man Gilliard, Newton kept the secret of their discoveries tight to themselves, only telling some of his favorite students.

It was this bias to tell his students that created the monster called Clown.

Obsessed with the possibilities of the planet core, Norman became determined to harness the power of the planet core. After countless disciplinary actions, Norman abandoned his master and started his own journey of defiance.

As soon as the attack started, Old Man Gilliard knew the culprit.

"The Planet Core cannot fall into Norman's hands!"

"Such power in the hands of a maniac like him spells disaster!"

This was why this old man gave his all to shut it all down.

After breaking through all the defenses, Clown set his eyes before the gigantic metal structure. The metal structure was built like an elevator, and it led to the deepest part of the planet where the planet core was located.

A shield protected the metal structure but it could not stop them.

The 2 Elementalists overloaded its systems with attacks before it popped open, without hesitation, Clown and Einstein charged in.

Old Man Gilliard already prepared an elaborate defensive measure against them before their arrival but against such powerful Grade C powerhouses, the measures were not enough as they bulldozed their way through them.

During this time, Old Man Gilliard disabled more of the powers of the planet core. Over the years, ways were already built on how to harness its powers.

Old Man Gilliard now aimed to shut these processes down.

This old man was only able to shut down 65% of the power before the aggressive energies of the Grade C powerhouses pressed against him like a sledgehammer, this old man was completely suppressed.

With a maniacal look on his face, Clown aimed to grab the control panel.

"Stop!" Old Man Gilliard was desperate.

"You can't control it, you'll unleash a disaster on the planet!"

Clown turned to look at his older counterpart. "Old men like you are not qualified to work on research this complicated, leave it to the younger generation".

Clown worked on rebooting the processes as the battle outside raged.

It may have been a long time since he was exposed to this immense power source and its operation processes, but having slept with it in his mind since, he remembered more than enough to operate it.

The numerous energy cables glowed blue by the second as the energy of the planet core started being transmitted through them again.

These were not ordinary cables, they were modified to harness raw energy.

While the battle raged outside, Clown was focused on his obsession.

His progress speed increased the more time that he spent on it.

His eyes constricted in excitement. "It won't be long now…"

After an intense tug of war with space itself, Core Protector Shanks finally managed to overpower the shackling effects of the Space-time stabilizers.

He arrived to see a chaotic battlefield in his territory.

For the first time in a long time, this warrior's eyes blazed with fury.

"INSOLENCE!" He was thoroughly angered.

The Core Protection Alliance was the lifeline of Planet Darvis. After a lot of research over the years, apart from the surface truths, the core researchers already arrived at hidden secrets due to its energy, such violation was not allowed.

Norman's brazen act thoroughly angered this powerful Summoner.

His raging energy caused thunder and lightning to appear in the clear skies as the next moment his energy opened a massive version of the rainbow bridge.

Core Protector Shanks was going all-out this time.

The first beast that jumped out of the beast plane was a Might Wolf!

This extremely muscular greyish white Wolf seemed to come directly out of a freezing winter. With blue eyes that reflected death, muscular limbs, and spiky ice offshoots sticking out of its body, this Wolf was a killer.

"Awoo!!!" He announced his presence with a mighty howl.

Following this beast was a gigantic Bee, a Bee with an even more massive bee army following behind it. An Earthquake Hound followed the Bee.

The last of the series was a gigantic Draconic Red-Scaled Lizard!

"Roar…!" The Lizard roared loudly to announce his presence.

Just before Core Protector Shanks could dive in with his beasts to smash the defense of the enemies apart, a powerful energy suddenly erupted from the middle of the Core Protection Alliance where the hole leading to the planet core was.

This chaotic and powerful energy made this Core Protector's eyes to widen.

The next moment, Clown flew out of the hole with a control switch on his hand, he pointed the control switch at this Core Protector.

"Stand… down!"
