On seeing the progress of the Scent Tracking skill that was exclusive to Christensen, Legolas drooled as he imagined its amazing effects.

Since the day that Christensen unlocked this skill, to increase his unlock progress rate, he encouraged Christensen to use them frequently.

After paying their respects to Altan's family, Legolas also paid his respects to the Tribe head of the Audun tribe before making his way outside with Christensen.

He turned to face his student. "What's the next step?"

"I am yet to detect their tracks but through the blood token, I already have a whiff of his scent that can lead us to him".

"The blood token works in a way where it shows us the accurate tracks across the desert which they left in, following that path will probably be the longest route to catch up with them".

"To take the fastest route, we need Brutus".

"His nose is far more sensitive than mine".

Christensen no longer wasted time as he activated the Beast Plane Summoning active ability to summon Brutus from the beast plane.

The Shadow Hound arrived with a frown and a bruise on his face.

He looked indifferently at his master.

"Oh right, Brutus, we need your help to track someone".

"Find the fastest route for us and take us through it".

The Shadow Hound snorted before walking closer to the blood token. As soon as it sniffed it, without saying a word, it turned and started running away.

"…" Christensen was exasperated. "Won't you even say something?"

He complained but he also ran after his master who on top Predator was already sprinting after the Shadow Hound.

Just 5 minutes later, Christensen discovered their tracks with his own ability.

"Predator, stay sharp, these guys are dangerous".

Christensen was exasperated as he looked at the pack of Wild Coyotes that blocked their path. Through his own ability, he knew that they were closing the distance to their target but this route, this route was filled with danger.

In 2 hours, this was their 5th encounter with a pack of beasts.

Predator's roar was able to intimidate the first pack that they met but the 2nd and 3rd beast packs, they had to fight their way through to escape.

The 4th beast pack was a pack with only Grade E beasts, they escaped on seeing them but the 5th pack now, this was a Wild Coyote pack with 3 freaking Grade D Wild Coyotes who were battle veterans of the desert.

"Brutus, are you deliberately leading us into danger?"

"You demanded for the fastest route". Brutus replied his master coldly.

"Christensen, focus and fight, these beasts have no intention of letting us through without a fight".

"Yes, master". Christensen pulled out his sword.

In the desert, Leo was no longer the brave and unstoppable ice monster that he was, he was so weak that his usual intimidating aura was nowhere to be found.

Predator was the main damage-dealing threat of this team.

Suddenly shouldering the pressure of having such high expectations didn't weigh Predator down though, it only left this enthusiastic fellow excited.

"Roar!" Predator roared a warning at the Wild Coyotes.

As soon as they dared roar back, this Nightmare Beast was angered.

"ROAR!!!"

Predator directly activated his Berserk Nightmare Beast Special Ability.

Without any fear of their numbers, he charged directly at the Wild Coyotes as Legolas jumped down from its back to avoid dying from his beast's suicide run.

With his increased strength, Predator clashed alone against all 3 Wild Coyotes. While constantly releasing Dark Arrows that damaged the Coyotes, his main damage-dealing go-to weapons where still his claws and his teeth.

Predator savagely attacked with his claw barrage and lethal bite skills.

His aggressiveness was a bane for the Wild Coyotes. Despite fighting 1 against 3, with minimal injuries, Predator managed to break one of the Wild Coyote's legs while severely injuring another on the neck.

Predator's aggressive battle with the Grade D Wild Coyotes served as the perfect opportunity for Legolas and Christensen to force their way through.

With Brutus leashing from their strength, the Shadow Hound followed them as they fought their way through the Grade E Wild Coyotes.

As soon as they escaped, Legolas turned towards his beast.

"Predator, we've escaped already, come, run!"

"F*ck!" Legolas was exasperated as his brain worked fast to think of an alternative. "There are even stronger opponents for you to fight where we're going, do you want Leo to enjoy all the battles?"

As soon as he heard Leo enjoying all the battles, Predator finally broke free from the injured Wild Coyotes as he charged towards his master.

Legolas sighed and mounted his beast as they escaped deeper into the desert. A few hours later, they encountered another beast pack.

Predator ran the show again as he succeeded in killing 2 of the Desert Snakes that attacked them, buying enough time for the others to escape.

After more than 5 hours, they arrived before a massive ruin.

"We're close but he's inside". Christensen said.

Legolas's eyes narrowed. "This is the Ancient Titan ruin".

Though he felt that he was not prepared yet, to preserve the dignity of the Hermit, Legolas led Christensen into this cursed land.
