Chapter 48 A Great Battle

The Keane household was as peaceful as usual as Mr. Keane recovered.

Even as the prefecture also recovered from the effects of the terrorist attacks, Governor Bam did not let his guard down as he kept his friend's mansion heavily guarded to prevent against any further assassination attempts.

Despite all their efforts though, the psychopaths of the Clown Society under the leadership of the Blue Master easily infiltrated the massive mansion.

In their hiding, they waited for the signal to attack.

BOOM!

The sound was like exploding dominoes as the Element Bombs were finally triggered, resulting in an explosion that completely rocked this small town.

As the whole town was rocked, resulting in great chaos and disorder, the psychopaths finally got their signal as they rushed inside the mansion.

The terrorist attacks of the Clown Society were characteristic for their one-dimensional approach. The psychopaths never engaged in mass murder, what they aimed for was chaos, once they created chaos, they left.

This time though, it was different, they had another motive to eliminate the warrior who spoiled their Lord's plan and was why they rushed into the mansion.

The Keane household was caught off-guard. The Element Bomb explosion rattled the guards protecting the mansion, before they completely recovered, the group of crazy psychopaths were already on them.

Both sides soon came to blows as energy of the 3 different main classes soon started clashing in a great display of superhuman strength.

Like the Clown, the Blue Master was a Fire affinity Elementalist.

At this moment, this superhuman warrior's eyes already turned into a blazing fire as he controlled the fire to deal with the guards that fought against him.

By using the fire as a shield, and also as an attacking weapon to heat and scorch them, this powerful Grade E Blue Master led the psychopaths in.

And by triggering mini explosions with his fire control, he was able to set even more disorder in the mansion that prevented the guards from recovering their calm and mounting a proper offensive against them.

In mere minutes, the defense of the Keane household crumbled.

A few seconds later though, the Blue Master discovered, their target was nowhere to be found, he already left the mansion.

The Blue Master reacted instantly. "Trigger phase 2 plan!"

More Element Bombs were triggered as blood flowed.

The phase 2 plan was against the normal code of the Clown Society. To find Legolas by all means, the psychopaths did not shy from using their bombs to kill and cause more chaos to find him.

The Blue Master believed that their target was still in the prefecture. The psychopaths under him divided into teams as they searched for the target.

Almost at the same time that he yelled this, another player who was nearby heard his voice and turned as their eyes clashed. Like him, this player who was also in the vicinity was able to accept the mission.

Having looked around for this NPC for the past 3 days without any meaningful results, this player was shocked to finally meet him now.

Horny Assassin stared at this player, surprised.

Ghost Sentry did not answer Horny Assassin. Without saying a word, this player grabbed his sword before sprinting in the direction that the special NPC, Legolas Baron already sprinted towards.

This was when it clicked in Horny Assassin's head. "F*ck! The mission!"

He also sprinted in pursuit.

After giving the mission, Legolas dared not stay in one place as he sprinted away from his location. Having known the Clown Society in his previous life, he should have expected this, the Clown was an unforgiving villain.

His priority at the moment was making sure that the Keane household was not wiped out due to his actions, most especially, he needed to save Sophia.

As he ran, he channeled his Summoner energy and did the deed.

Predator, Lucky, and Akela arrived from the beast plane with a bang!

Almost instantly after they appeared, Legolas jumped and mounted Akela as he gave orders to Lucky and Predator.

"Both of you, go to the Keane mansion, protect them!"

"This is your first important solo mission without me, don't disappoint me!"

Lucky wanted to whine but seeing the aftereffects of the Element Bomb explosion, and Legolas's serious facial expression, she calmed her tendencies.

As for Predator, he was enthusiastic to fight and impress his master.

"Roar!" Both beasts soon disappeared in the busy town as the citizens scrambled around while screaming to get to safety.

As for Legolas, he had another destination, Governor Bam's military base.

The whole Keane household was already subdued.

With most of the guards already dead to the powerful psychopaths, the recovering Mr. Keane and his family shivered before the determined psychopaths.

"Blue Master, the 3rd team just reported to have seen the target".

"Where?!" The already agitated Blue Master asked.

"They said he regrouped with the Governor of the prefecture and that together, they are already locked tight in battle against the 3rd team".

"Take me there…!"

The Blue Master barely finished before the massive gate of the Keane household was smashed open by a menacing black beast that seemed to come straight out of hell, a massive Nightmare Beast!

"Roar!"

Predator announced his presence with a mighty roar and charged forward.

With his sheer strength, darkness and basic abilities, Predator powered through all the psychopaths that tried to block his path as a trail of blood was soon left in his wake, Predator went berserk against the psychopaths!

The Blue Master's fire was lethal, but not so effective anymore when faced against a beast with a hide as tough and tenacious as Predators.

As Predator did the charging from the front, Lucky remained in the back and ran the show with her luck powers and newly discovered moon and wind powers.

She acted more as the support, cleverly supporting Predator as the Nightmare Beast's luck in the battle increased to ridiculous levels.

Every probability-affected outcome tipped towards Predator's favor. This enabled the massive Nightmare Beast to constantly smash the psychopaths.

While Predator held them back, Lucky went up towards Sophia.

"Stand up, we have to escape!"

Though she already saw Lucky speak once, Sophia was still shocked. Despite her shock though, on remembering the current pathetic state of her family, Sophia steeled her mind as she assured her family that the 2 beasts were on their side.

With the psychopaths occupied by Predator with luck working in his favor, Lucky escorted the Keane family as they started escaping from the mansion.

The Blue Master was furious but he was helpless.

He was reluctant to leave though, thoroughly angered now, this Elementalist led the other psychopaths to box the powerful Nightmare Beast in as he was now determined to kill this beast.

Predator was perhaps foolish, but what mattered was that he remained fearless despite this challenge as he roared defiantly back at them.

If the battle continued like this, Predator would die but Legolas already had everything calculated. 2 minutes later, the army of the Blue Scale prefecture arrived with an angry Governor Bam leading the charge.

Alongside the Governor at the front was Legolas riding Akela.

With the Keane household saved, the objective changed to eradicating every one of the psychopaths and saving the Blue Scale prefecture.

Governor Bam roared angrily. "Kill them!"

A great battle started.
