Chapter 29 The Game Of Wit Begins

After opening the box, Legolas expected to see 3 books neatly arranged inside it but he was disappointed, Mr. Damien was cautious than he expected.

Inside the box were 3 papers that had detailed information about the 3 Basic Summoner Class knowledge that Prince Christensen had, not the actual books.

His original intention was that if the 3 books were here, he could just brush his hands against all 3 of them and his virtual interface would do the rest.

Well, this was no longer possible since Mr. Damien decided to intervene.

Even Prince Christensen was perplexed. "Huh? 3 papers? Where are the 3 Basic Summoner Class knowledge books?"

"Relax". Mr. Damien replied him calmly. "I have everything under control".

Prince Christensen was even more confused but seeing the calm look on the butler's face, he relented. "Well, I believe you".

Mr. Damien stared fixatedly at Legolas. "Make your choice".

"I will". Legolas turned to smile back at him.

In his mind, he was not frustrated since he already had a contingency plan in place. 'Since you want it done the hard way, I'll give it to you the hard way'.

Legolas finally turned his eyes back to inside the box at the 3 papers.

Just one look and he found the main class knowledge that he wanted the most since reincarnating. "Found you!"

The other 2 Summoner class knowledge were important, but they were nowhere as important as the pivotal Beast Plane Metaphysics.

Beast Plane Metaphysics was the most important of all basic Summoner class knowledges but at this moment in time, it was not the best fit for Legolas's purpose.

To make his contingency plan work even more smoothly, Legolas easily deduced that learning the Basic Beast Energy Augmentation was the best for him.

Legolas picked up the paper that was in the middle of the box, then he turned to smile at Prince Christensen, causing the prince to smile back widely.

Feeling Mr. Damien glaring at him, Legolas no longer kept them waiting as he showed the paper to them before finally speaking. "I choose the Basic Beast Energy Augmentation".

Mr. Damien looked at the young warrior silently for a few seconds before speaking. "Bring the Basic Beast Energy Augmentation book!"

"Yes, Butler Damien".

The next moment, one of the warriors went to a shelf that was inside the living room where Legolas sat with the Butler and the Prince.

Legolas kept a constant smile on his face, and it seemed like he was not looking but he already mapped the location of the shelf, the combination to open it, and where the books were kept already on his mind.

When the book was finally brought, Legolas smiled and placed his hands on it. Instantly, his virtual interface status lit up.

Throughout till Legolas left the hotel, Prince Christensen had a smile on his face. Even Leo seemed unwilling to let him go but Legolas had to leave.

Once he left, Christensen wiped a tear and spoke. "Such a good young warrior, I wish every warrior was like him, the world would be such a better place".

Mr. Damien stared at the prince without saying a word.

2 minutes after Legolas left, Mr. Damien secretly met with 2 elite warriors that were part of the prince's entourage. "Follow Legolas and report anything that he is up to for the next 24 hours".

"Yes, Butler Damien".

The 2 Grade E warriors left and immediately went to work.

After leaving the massive hotel, like he planned, Legolas no longer lingered in the Blue Scale Shelter as he patted Predator before mounting the huge Nightmare Beast, causing stares in the streets.

Legolas looked back at the hotel with a longing look on his face and deliberately spoke loudly. "The prince is such a good man, I wish all employers were like him, I probably won't forget this encounter all my life".

He patted his contracted beast. "Come on Predator, let's leave".

Predator grunted slightly before galloping away through the streets away from the shelter. From his actions, he was about to leave the shelter.

10 minutes later, Predator finally crossed the gate that led into the Blue Scale Shelter, officially leaving this shelter where he spent the past week of his life.

Predator did not slow down as he continued galloping away from the shelter.

As the young Summoner and his contracted beast disappeared into the distance, the 2 warriors who secretly spied on him also returned to the hotel.

A few minutes later, they met Mr. Damien. "He left the shelter".

"Good, you employed measures to detect if he comes back, right?"

"Yes, I paid some of the guards at the gate. If he comes back, we'll know".

"Good job". Mr. Damien patted the warriors' backs as he caressed his beard.

3 hours later, Legolas hid in the woods close to the Blue Scale Shelter.

There, he prepared for his comeback. After getting and learning the Basic Beast Energy Augmentation, his stock of Summoner class knowledge increased.

Apart from the Organic Connection, the Beast Trainer class knowledge enabled easier control over contracted beasts. It also enabled a beast to more easily understand it's master's instructions.

As for the Basic Beast Energy Augmentation, it was the most direct of all the basic class knowledges since it enabled the Summoner to actively empower his contracted and summoned beasts through Summoner Energy.

All the other main classes as they grew develops their own type of energy.

There was Pugilist Energy, Elementalist Energy, and Summoner Energy which all originated from mana. Their specialties were that they better augmented the strength of their users compared to heterogenous mana.

Legolas clenched his fists, causing a green corona to appear above them. This was his neutral Summoner Energy which was a result of his neutral beast affinity.

After he was done, Legolas finally took the last step to complete his preparation to return to the Blue Scale Shelter.

Legolas brought out 1 of the 5 bottles that contained the Ultimate Potion Formula that he concocted as he instantly downed its contents.

The game finally began.
