Chapter 24 Price Negotiation

Knock! Knock!

"Come in". An irritated but worried voice sounded.

"Good morning Young Master". Mr. Damien, the Butler of the Palm Island royal family greeted the young master in a calm and respectful tone.

A Butler was supposed to be the chief manservant of a household, and one of Mr. Damien's caliber was not supposed to be doing menial activities like this.

The Butler of the Palm Island royal family followed Prince Christensen on his crazy adventures because Christensen was the only son of the royal family.

He was dotted upon a lot by his loving parents, which made him more or less a spoilt brat already.

Prince Christensen finally replied the butler in a grumpy tone. "What happened?"

Mr. Damien ignored the lack of respect, masking it with a smile. "A young super warrior just came along this morning claiming to have found Leo".

The prince's heart skipped a bit on hearing that but he soon calmed down and scoffed. "Do they think I'm a fool? How many warriors already came with the same news all with the motive of seeing me personally and begging for money?"

"I think this one is different…"

"How?!" Prince Christensen yelled before the Butler could finish.

Mr. Damien remained calm. "He said Leo has white fur like other Frost Wolves but some parts of his face are covered with golden fur, a specialty which made you fall in love with him on first sight".

"He said Leo loves cold, hates hot and tight places but go running to them to hide when he is injured or scared".

By now, Prince Christensen was already breathless.

Mr. Damien continued. "He also said Leo is injured".

"What?! Take me to him, now!"

5 minutes later, Legolas was seated inside the luxurious hotel where Prince Christensen and his entourage stayed while the search for Leo continued.

The Prince's confused eyes kept on hovering from the little kid before him to his butler and back. "Umm, Damien, he…"

"Yes, Young Prince, he is the warrior who found Leo".

"…Oh, ok". The Prince finally turned to observe Legolas carefully, Legolas also observed him back as internally he was already surprised.

"It's this Christensen? Damn, I literally already forgot he was once a Prince".

Legolas knew this guy, he was not just any NPC too, this guy was a main character who became relevant, revealing his incredible luck and talent 3 versions later after going through a lot of suffering and tempering.

His 2 sisters were the closest confidants of the main villain of version 3.0.

Loved by his parents and envied by his 2 sisters, Christensen lived his best life until his sisters decided to join the dark part and become evil.

His sisters murdered their parents, sold their island, Christensen included. This was where Christensen's suffering began until his luck struck 3 versions later.

"You found Leo?" Christensen finally asked as Legolas did not speak first.

Legolas was finally interrupted from his wandering mind. "Yes, I found Leo and I can save him, I just wanted to negotiate my rewards with you".

"Oh, whatever you want as a reward, just say it".

"The money stays so, but I want an additional reward, I want a Summoner Class knowledge".

"Oh, I have 3 basic Summoner Class knowledge with me, I think I have another 1 too but I left it in the island, an intermediate class knowledge I think".

Legolas smiled secretly; this Christensen was still a naïve one.

Christensen continued. "Which one do you want…?"

"Ahem, cough…" Not able to take it anymore, Mr. Damien finally coughed, drawing the Prince's attention.

"What?" Christensen asked cluelessly as the atmosphere turned awkward.

"Young Prince, leave the negotiating to me". Mr. Damien turned to face Legolas with a serious look in his face. "No intermediate knowledge is up for grabs; the last price is 1,000,000 credits and 1 basic Summoner class knowledge".

"Increase the money to 1.3 million credits".

"1.2 million is my bottom line, take it or leave it".

"Huh? Leave it? Leo is at stake!" Prince Christensen protested, causing veins to pop in the Butler's head as he felt a strong urge to smack him on the head.

Legolas had to force himself from not laughing out loud. "Deal!" He agreed.

A contract was signed between both parties, and once Legolas put pen to paper, he gave his time limit. "You'll see Leo again in 3 days at most, wait for it".

With that, he left. He did not return to the Blue Forest though, Legolas returned home and sat down to browse through his memories for a potion formula.

To change his appearance and height, Legolas knew that there were potions for it. He was no alchemist, but as an avid and extremely curious gamer, he explored everything explorable and was where he dabbled a bit in alchemy.

All he needed was to find one where he could use the materials in this planet to concoct, he searched his memory for 30 minutes before he found it.

"The Ultimate Man Potion Formula!" Legolas smiled.

He took a pen and started writing the formula down. "10 Ginseng fruits, Drake Fire leaves, Mud Water leaves, Cafu weed, 10 Elysium seeds…"

After listing all the materials needed down, Legolas left to the market where he asked around for them. He was able to purchase everything except 3.

There were no Drake Fire leaves, Mud Water leaves, and Elysium seeds here. Mud Water leaves were a specialty of the Barbarian rain forest deep in beast territory, while Drake Fire leaves were specialties of volcanoes in the deserts.

As for Elysium seeds, these were premium materials that were extremely expensive. A single Elysium seed went for as much as 500,000 Darvis credits.

Legolas was conflicted on how to move forward but he was not out of options yet. "My only other option to pull a miracle is the Grey World gathering".

"Let's hope things go according to plan".

For the next 2 days, Legolas went to the Blue Forest daily to hunt for experience points and beast cores which Predator consumed while they still waited for Lucky to wake up from her deep evolution slumber.

After 2 days, it was now 5 days since he came to the Blue Scale Shelter, and today was the day for the next grey world gathering.

Legolas got prepared in his inn and left to the grey world 2 hours early.
