Chapter 1020 Slap!

Kana appeared in the mountains soon after. She looked down at the mountain terrain below her and squinted her eyes as she looked for the reason as to why the monsters here were attacking their workers. She could see the camp and the soldiers all surrounding it patrolling to make sure there were no monsters in sight. "It looks normal...." Kana furrowed her brow. She watched as a cart loaded with materials was starting to make its way down the trail. It was surrounded by six guards, three on each side. It only got about half a mile away before ten monsters appeared out of nowhere and rushed the cart, causing the soldiers and the one driving it to go on guard.

Seeing this, Kana wrinkled her nose as she snapped her fingers, making the monsters disappear. She flew down and landed on the ground in front of the cart. "Empress!"

One of the soldiers called out. "Is this how it always happens? Do the monsters only attack when you try to move the materials?"

"Answering, Your Highness, it is just as you said. As soon as we try to make it down the mountain, they will attack. This is why we try to keep it to one cart at a time, making things slower." One of the soldiers replied.

"I see..." Kana waved her hand and made a barrier tunnel that protected the road back to the capital. She figured this way, they could move the materials easier. "With this barrier up, you should be able to move more materials in one go without fear of being attacked.  Keep working hard. You are all doing excellent jobs. Keep protecting the citizens of the demon domain."

"By your will!" All the guards and even the cart driver yelled out. Kana smiled and disappeared.

She was now heading to the farms and other areas where resource gathering was done. She went to each location and watched the same thing happening each time. They do not attack until the resources are moving. This meant that they were definitely being controlled. "You wish to play with my people? You want to halt our advancement? Then we shall play."

Kana stuck her head through a tear and space that led to Creige's office. "Creige, I plan to expand our territory. The monsters are definitely being controlled, so I will not stand idly while they are doing such things."

Creige, who was looking at documents, paused and looked at Kana with a faint smile. "How much do you plan to take?"

"Half. This way, we have so much land and resources that no matter how many monsters they control, they will not be able to stop us any longer." Kana snorted. She was not playing around anymore. She wanted to do things slowly, but this did not mean she would allow her people to suffer in the process.

"Then we will do things your way. Notify your sister, so she knows what you plan to do." Creige smiled and got up from his chair. He walked over to Kana and leaned down, and kissed her lips. "Whatever you wish. I will follow. This is your stage."

"Hehe... Did anyone ever tell you that you are the most handsome man in the world? Give kiss!" Kana grinned as she closed her eyes when Creige's lips met hers. She truly loved this man.

"Alright, I am off. I will be back with good news." Kana said as she closed her tear in space. Creige sat there looking at the spot her head just was and chuckled to himself before walking back over to sit down. "I still have a lot to do." Thinking of this, he looked at the door in front of him and said: "If you are there come in. You need to be learning all of this anyway."

"Yes, Father...." Devan walked in and looked at his Father. Out of everyone, he was the only one in the family who called him father. And this was because he couldn't bring himself to say, handsome papa. "I overheard Mama just now. She said she is taking half the Sea of Stars?"

"Mm.... Retaliation for them controlling monsters to attack our people. It is the least we can do to show them we are not afraid of them and that they can not stop us no matter what. Of course, this is all so you can take the helm as the ruler of the Sea of Stars. Devan, you must know your mother loves you a lot. She also still feels guilty about what happened in her past life. She also does not know that you were always a part of her. Please never mention this and deny it if she ever remembers." Creige always feared this the most. He knew Kana did something that took in his son's soul. And he feared Kana figuring this out at some point. He did not wish for her to feel regret and pain anymore.

"I will never speak a word of it, and I promise I will not let the things you and her cherish disappear. Once we have full control of the Sea of Stars and I take over, I will be sure to protect this place with my very being." Devan had never said it clearly, but he had complete respect for his father. He was a man who loved his family and his mother, especially more than anything in the world. He would die if she ever told him to. This was just how much he loved her. But that, of course, would never happen.

"You have always been a good son." Creige looked at Devan warmly. "But if your life is on the line, then run away. Do not make your mother sad. Your life is more important than some realm. We can always take those back, but if some issue comes up and your soul is somehow destroyed, we can not bring you back to life. So take care of yourself first. As a man, you should remember two things. Your family is precious, and you should do everything you can for them, and your life should never be sacrificed unless you are protecting a loved one."

"I will remember these words." Devan smiled as he stepped forward and placed a document on the table. "This is an idea I came up with after seeing the things Mama did to the Devan Empire."

"Hmmm?" Creige read over the document and nodded his head. "You can do as you wish. These are all good ideas but are you able to keep this up on your own when we leave?"

"Yes. I have been practicing making pocket dimensions and am able to make ones as big as a small world now." Devan replied.

"Then you will be in charge of this. If you need help, ask your two younger sisters. The three of you will be here ruling this realm soon. So make sure you get them up to speed on your plans as well. Also...." Creige looked Devan in the eye and smiled. "You will be the demon emperor in the future, so you can do as you please now. You do not need to ask me for assistance. Just make sure the budget can cover what you plan."

Devan nodded and said: "Understood."

On the other side of the Sea of Stars, in a meeting room once more, the King, who had wanted to do everything he could to forget about the humiliation he suffered before due to Kana, was now turning bright purple as he looked at the two girls sitting on his meeting table. Even the officials were unsure of how to act. He took a deep  breath and asked: "Can you repeat what you just said?"

"Mm.... Since you people keep interfering with my demon domain, I decided to take half the Sea of Stars. If you have objections, then fight me." Kana replied while yawning.

"Kana, people like this will not understand unless you slap them. Watch and learn this is how you get people to remember what you said so they will not keep asking the same question over and over." Camlia stood up and walked over to the king, and grabbed him by the collar. And then, with each word, a sharp, crisp slap sound could be heard echoing around the room.  "She said.... Since. *Slap!* You. *Slap!*  People. *Slap!*   Keep. *Slap!*  Interfering. *Slap!* With. *Slap!*  My. *Slap!* Demon. *Slap!* Domain. *Slap!* I. *Slap!* Decided. *Slap!* To. *Slap!* Take. *Slap!* Half. *Slap!* Of. *Slap!* The. *Slap!* Sea. *Slap!* Of. *Slap!* Stars. *Slap!* If. *Slap!* You. *Slap!* Have. *Slap!* Objections. *Slap!* Then. *Slap!* Fight. *Slap!* Me. *Slap!*  *Slap!*"

"Oh! Let me try that!" Kana nodded and walked over to the already pig faced King, and grabbed his collar. "Ahem~! I said.... Since. *Slap!* You. *Slap!*  People. *Slap!*  Keep. *Slap!*  Interfering. *Slap!*  With. *Slap!*  My. *Slap!* Demon. *Slap!* Domain. *Slap!* I. *Slap!* Decided. *Slap!* To. *Slap!* Take. *Slap!* Half. *Slap!* Of. *Slap!* The. *Slap!* Sea. *Slap!* Of. *Slap!* Stars. *Slap!* If. *Slap!* You. *Slap!* Have. *Slap!* Objections. *Slap!* Then. *Slap!* Fight. *Slap!* Me. *Slap!*  *Slap!* *Slap!* *Slap!*"

After Kana finished, she turned to Camlia and asked: "Like that?"

"Mmm! Very good! I know you could do it on the first try!" Camlia replied with a big smile.

Everyone else in the room froze in place. They all tried to make themselves as tiny as possible, not wanting to be seen. They were afraid that they would suffer just as much as their so-called King.

"Anyway!" Kana turned and looked at everyone. "Since you can't keep your hands off my demon domain and control monsters to slow our progress, I will be taking half of the Sea of Stars. Set foot on my lands again and see what happens."

With that, Kana left. Camlia followed after her. As for the king, he waved his hand, healing his face before slamming it down on the table. "Fine! She wants war!? We will give her war! We will see how long she can keep her half of the Sea of Stars either we die, or that bitch dies!"
