Chapter 949: Devan Empire

"We support you in anything you wish to do, Mama," Angelica reassured with a smile. She would follow her Mama anywhere. Her Mama had already dealt with so much, she did not wish to see her Mama sad anymore.

Kana smiled as she looked at her girls. She was currently wearing a blake robe with golden dragons on it. Her hair was done up into a bun with jade hair sticks sticking out of it that had spirit stones crafted into small jewels dangling from the tops. Her tail had a jade bangle wrapped around it and was completely shined to perfect just for this event. Each horn had a golden loop placed around them as if they were rings on a finger. Even her wings had silk streaming down them. Compared to her normal free looking style, the Kana of now was very much the picture of what an empress should look like.

A grand celebration was being held out in the city as streamers and lined the streets along with food vendors and street reformers. When Kana made her way out to the balcony, there was a glowing orb that was being used to project her image all over the empire. Each city, town, and village were able to see their new empress as she walked out onto the balcony that had all the officials kneeling down to her.

Kana could see that the gates to the palace had many citizens lined up to try to catch a real life glimpse of her, causing her to smile. She took a deep breath and then closed her eyes as she let it out before opening her eyes again. "On this day, I have become your empress, Empress Kana. From this day forward, this empire will have its name changed to the Devan Empire."

As soon as these words fell, Creige's eyes opened wide. He did not know why Kana would use such a name to name the empire. He wondered if she was starting to remember the past. But he dared not ask anything in case this was a fluke. He was scared. But luckily for him, what he heard next would answer his question.

"Some may wonder why I am changing the name of this empire, and well… It was too long, and the name Devan resonates with my soul. I had thought long and hard about the name, but this name was the one name that came to mind that resonated with me the most and made me smile. So when you hear the name Devan, think of happiness because this is its true meaning. This is an empire that will bring happiness to its people. I will strive to do what I can to better your lives and elevate them to a whole new state. Those who dare to disturb the happiness of our Empire will meet a swift end and then…. The citizens of the country who attacked us will become part of the empire and will understand what Devan truly means." As Kana paused all over the Devan Empire, the citizens all began chanting the name Devan.

Deep within Kana, a small glimmer of black light could be seen. It stirred a little and moved toward the one place where it knew it could be reborn. "It's time…. This time I will experience my mother's love…."

Kana felt a strange tingling in her stomach, but she did not think much about it. She figured it was just all the meat she had eaten the night before. She continued her speech as normal. "Life can be hard, especially in a world where cultivation rules. Law of the jungle applies to this world but not in my empire, the strong will no longer be able to look down on others. They will no longer be allowed to just do as they please. New laws will be put into place and must strictly be followed or…"

The entire Devan Empire suddenly fell under a strong pressure causing everyone to half kneel. Some people even passed out due to the pressure, but the strange thing was that no kids were affected or pregnant women. This was because Kana made sure not to affect these people. But she was sending a clear message. No matter where in the empire you are, she can find you.

"What you felt just now was a warning to those who think they are powerful or will become powerful. Do not act arrogant because no matter what status you have, you will not be allowed to get away with whatever you want. From this day forward, the Devan Empire will change drastically!" With a wave of her hand, a large tear in space was formed, and a shadow covered the sky as a large spaceship appeared. This was Kana's spaceship. She wanted to let the people of this world know what the future truly held. The ship was only in the air for a short time before being sent back into the void. But it seemed the heavenly laws of the world were not happy as clouds began to form over where Kana was. But she only snorted and waved her hand, dispersing the clouds.

Each one of her acts was nothing to her, but to the people of this realm, she was like a goddess who had descended from the heavens itself. Kana smiled as she continued: "So I hope as citizens of the Devan Empire that you will all work together and make a peaceful kingdom for all to live in."

With this said, Kana turned and walked back into the palace. While most of the population of the empire cheered, many of the powerful families had worried looks on their faces. They had been running around being arrogant all this time. Did they really have to change their ways? Wouldn't this make them no different from everyone else? But what could they do? If they were to pack up and leave, they would have to start over somewhere where they had no history whatsoever. It was a problem they did not wish to get into.

Fang Clan: "Call a family meeting! All elders and grand elders need to be present!"

Wang Clan: "Call A Clan Meeting!"

Duan Clan: "We will be holding a clan meeting tomorrow. So make sure everyone is present."
