Legendary Auxiliary Chapter.

Eastern Fantasy, as its name suggests, contains fictional stories about regular humans who can achieve supernatural fighting ability through Chinese martial arts training and internal energy cultivation (Wuxia type) or Protagonists (usually) attempt to cultivate to Immortality, seeking eternal life and the pinnacle of strength (XianXia type).

Cultivation: The process of improving health, increasing longevity, and getting powerful. This is accomplished by cultivating Qi and training in martial & mystical arts.

Qi: It is the vital energy that exists in all things. And Qi density in the Daintian is the main basis of defining the power difference between two cultivators.

Dantian: Refers to the region in the body where a person's Qi is concentrated. There are technically three dantians, but here, we have simplified the concept and only used the lower dantian (located three finger widths below and two finger widths behind the navel).

Cultivation Method: A mystical art or collection of techniques which cultivators practice in order to cultivate.

Cultivation Manual: a book containing detailed instructions on training in a cultivation method or martial arts style. Usually regarded as extremely valuable and thus kept secret (or at least, not made publicly available). Manuals are divided into 9 Ranks and Rank 1 is the lowest.

Qi Deviation: A state wherein the cultivation base becomes dangerously unstable, causing internal damage to the body and symptoms of psychosis.

Spirit Beasts: Beasts which have gotten powerful through Qi present in the surroundings. They are divided in three tiers Low, Middle and High Tiered Spirit Beasts. And further divided into Nine Ranks from One to Nine. Rank One Low Tier spirit beast is the weakest while Rank Nine High Tiered Spirit Beast is the strongest in the Lower and Middle Heavens.

Cultivation Realm: The amount or capacity of refined Qi possessed by a cultivator.

Here are the cultivation realms introduced so far:

Qi Refining Realm (Most basic and the first stage)

Qi Condensation Realm

Qi Stabilization Realm

(The above three are the Tri-Qi Realms)

Foundation Realm

Core Formation Realm

Nascent Soul Realm

Half Saint Realm (Previous life cultivation level of Ye Tian Yun before he was killed)

Saint Realm

Venerable Saint Realm

Supreme Saint Realm (Peak of the Middle Heavens)

All realms are divided into ten levels.

...

This world is divided into three parts,

The Lower Heavens: Also called the mortal world by the cultivators of the higher Heavens. This place has the lowest Qi density, hence the average cultivation realm of the cultivators here is Qi Condensation and publicly, the peak cultivation is Nascent Soul Realm. This is also the place where the first part of our story starts.

The Middle Heavens: This is the place where our main character of the story, Ye Tian Yun, is from. It has better living conditions and higher Qi density as compared to the lower Heavens. The power structure will be defined in later chapters.

The Upper Heavens: this will be the only mention for a few times in the first few volumes. As its name suggests, it is the place where the average cultivation realm is highest. Not much is known about this place in public to accept that one needs to reach the peak cultivation realm to cross the barrier between the Middle and Upper Heavens.

...

The main aim of every cultivator is to gain immortality and reach the peak of cultivation and the Tokens are the easiest way for it.

Twelve Tokens: Each Possess the power to overturn the Heavens. Based on nature and cosmic elements, they chose their possessor based on his character, will and heart. Anyone who is chosen by the Tokens, must keep them as secret, because for many era's, Tokens have caused a blood bath between cultivators as soon as they made an appearance in public. Until the possessors are not confident enough to hold up against the peak cultivators of the realm, they should not reveal themselves.

Currently known Tokens: Token of Fate (previously possessed by Xiao Ming), Token of Life(previously possessed by Jiang Chen)

Four Emblems: Each summoned by possessing different Tokens, the cultivators who possess them are publicly acknowledged by the cultivation world for their talent and battle prowess and the possessors are known as the Heavenly Kings, rulers of the Middle Heavens.

Currently known Emblems: Emblem of Luck (previously possessed by Ye Tian Yun), Emblem of Time (previously possessed by Wang Yao)

[Previously possessed refers to life before Ye Tian Yun's rebirth]

One God Emblem: Summoned by possessing all Emblems, declaring its possessor the ruler of the Heavens, The Heavenly Emperor.

The Throne: This is a public secret. This throne belongs to the Heavenly Emperor and it's been ages since the Last Heavenly Emperor summoned it.
