Trigger Warning:

Suicide of a character, death

Country M

S city, in a high-end mid-level villa.

A tall, expressionless man sat on a gray leather sofa.

In front of him lay a bloodied young man, his face covered in dirt, and his eyes were lifeless.

“Zou Kai, why…” Chu Yuan asked, his voice trembling.

“Because the one I liked was never you.”

“Then who is it…”

Chu Yuan’s tears dripped down his face. It broke his heart, to be hurt and betrayed by the person he loved.

“It’s Zhou Li.”

“Since you like Zhou Li, why did you pretend to like me?” Chu Yuan questioned with tears.

“You are an idiot”, Zou Kai said with contempt, “If not for the fact that you’re the sole heir of the Chu Group and the beloved of Tang Ze Chi, the president of the Tang Yin Group, I wouldn’t have even bothered to give you a second glance.”

“What do you want…”

“What do you think I’d want? Your father has already suffered a stroke and is now paralyzed, so that leaves Tang Ze Chi. As long as I get rid of him, my business will grow without any restrictions from now on.”

Chu Yuan was horrified, the images of Zou Kai’s attentive face in the past alternating with his father’s sick and distressed face appeared in his mind which made the usually gentle and kind youth explode with anger.

“My father, you actually hurt my father…and Tang Ze Chi… Zou Kai, you bastard!!!”

Chu Yuan wailed loudly, to no avail until a bodyguard came in.

“Boss, he’s here.”

Chu Yuan was shocked.

Tang Ze Chi is here.

“Did he come alone?” Zou Kai asked.

“Yes.”

A handsome man with a forbidding face walked in.

He was about 1.9 meters tall, with broad shoulders, lean muscles and long straight legs. His appearance was more eye-catching than male models.

His cold poisonous gaze and murderous aura were clawing their way into everyone’s body.

As soon as Chu Yuan saw him, his eyes welled up with tears.

Others felt instinctively oppressed, since hearing the name Tang Ze Chi alone was enough to make their legs go weak, let alone facing this man here.

“Zou Kai,” Tang Ze Chi said, his magnetic voice filled with indifference, “I’ve brought whatever you asked for. Let Yuan Yuan go, and I’ll give it all up.”

“You dare to bargain with me? Heh…”

Zou Kai laughed, and held Chu Yuan’s head and slammed it heavily into the glass coffee table in front of him.

Blood splattered everywhere, and Chu Yuan, like a dying animal, wailed but couldn’t move any further.

“Stop hurting him!!”

Tang Ze Chi’s eyes were blazing as he said, “Here’s what you asked for!”

As he spoke he handed a document over to Zou Kai.

Zou Kai with a victorious smirk on his face went forward to receive the document, while throwing a sideways glance at his people behind him.

Tang Ze Chi noticed this, and when Zou Kai’s hand touched the document, he violently threw a punch at him.

Zou Kai was left dazed for a moment.

In the blink of an eye, Tang Ze Chi pulled a dagger from his waist and kicked him in the knee.

Zou Kai was kicked and was temporarily incapacitated.

Tang Ze Chi held a knife in his left hand, and his right leg was poised against the most vulnerable part of any man, ready to kill him at any time.

His right hand firmly clamped around his neck, which made him almost breathless, and his face turned red within seconds.

All this took place in less than 10 seconds.

Before the bodyguards could react, Tang Ze Chi held a knife against Zou Kai’s neck, stopping them in place and blocking them from reaching Chu Yuan.

When the two sides were at a standstill, another team of bodyguards suddenly broke through the door and surrounded Chu Yuan.

Taking advantage of Tang Ze Chi’s distraction, Zou Kai slammed his elbow into Tang Ze Chi and knocked away the knife in his arm, and yelled frantically, “Go on, kill them both!!”

If he let Tang Ze Chi escape today, then his whole family would be finished.

The bodyguards rushed towards him with daggers and steel pipes held high.

The bodyguards fell one after another, and after all the blows were exchanged, only Zou Kai was left.

Tang Ze Chi and Zou Kai hated each other deeply, and soon were entangled in a fight.

The two of them rolled around on the ground and since Tang Ze Chi lost a lot of blood, he moved a little slowly.

Zou Kai found an opportunity to flip Tang Ze Chi’s body over and ruthlessly thrust the dagger into his lower abdomen.

Blood gushed out, and Tang Ze Chi’s arm fell limply.

Zou Kai stumbled to his feet and forced his way towards Chu Yuan. He had just reached Chu Yuan’s side when he was caught off guard and a knife was stabbed in his back.

“You…”

He turned his head in disbelief only to realize that Tang Ze Chi had feigned his fall.

Tang Ze Chi grabbed his head with both hands and decisively snapped his neck, before finally falling to the ground exhausted.

When Chu Yuan finally woke up and saw Tang Ze Chi, he went up and hugged him.

“Tang Ze Chi, I’ll take you to the hospital.”

Chu Yuan fumbled to grab Tang Ze Chi’s hand and held it close. The calloused and slender fingers gently squeezed him back for a moment before letting go.

“Yuan Yuan, don’t waste your energy… you need to go…” said Tang Ze Chi, breathless.

“I won’t go, I’m not leaving without you…”

Chu Yuan sobbed uncontrollably.

For so many years, this person always stood behind him, unconditionally protecting him, accompanying him, and now he even wants to die for him.

Tang Ze Chi’s love is very subtle while also being turbulent and extremely deep, that only now does he understand the weight of his love, but unfortunately, it’s too late.

“Yuan Yuan, live well.”

Tang Ze Chi fondly caressed his cheek with a cold hand. Chu Yuan saw the look of resignation in his eyes, pressed his cold hand to his face, and shook his head through the pain.

“No, Ze Chi, I love you, don’t die, I can’t live without you…”

Chu Yuan’s chest was churning violently, and a pain that was worse than death strangled him from the inside out. He cried until his heart ached, and he could hardly breathe while hot tears flowed down his neck.

“Yuan Yuan, I love you too…”

A relieved yet reluctant look appeared in Tang Ze Chi’s eyes.

At the last moment of his life, he finally got the answer he desired and waited for the most.

He closed his eyes without regret, and his slightly raised head fell on Chu Yuan’s lap.

He’s gone.

“Ze Chi—ahhhhhh!”

Chu Yuan’s cries became shrill, “It’s all my fault… It’s all my fault… Don’t go away, okay… Didn’t you say that you would never leave me… Why aren’t you keeping your word just like dad did… I will never be willful again… I’ll listen to everything you say… I’ll do whatever you want… so come back… please…”

He was the one who killed Tang Ze Chi.

He was overwhelmed by memories, all the tenderness and indulgence Tang Ze Chi had given to him.

People always only know how to cherish someone after they have lost them.

A decisive smile appeared on Chu Yuan’s face.

He leaned over, and pressed a last kiss on Tang Ze Chi’s cold lips.

“Ze Chi, I’m coming for you.”

In our next lives, I will treat you well.

Chu Yuan was most afraid of pain in his life, but more than that he was afraid that Tang Ze Chi would go too far and he would never be able to catch up with him, so he chose one of the most painful ways to die.

The dagger cut his neck, and blood flowed down. With a willing smile, the beautiful young man fell on the man he loved the most in his life.

Bright red flowers of blood blossomed in the area, both magnificent and shocking.

They will never be separated again.
