Chapter 1795 - 1795 Show something

1795 Show something

Dayus is in the middle of a meeting.

Meeting a clan that he is currently helping with obtaining the baby. This is actually more than a clan. It is a sect of some sort that is led by a very small clan. The Blood Wolf Faction is what they call themselves.

He managed to get a seat at the table. But unlike Kumar and Noah, he didn’t manage to gain their trust completely.

In fact, the reason they gave him a seat is to keep a good eye on him.

He is being watched by the head of the faction closely. He is pretty frustrated because of that.

Meanwhile, his opponent is Arkiv. He joined the opposite party, the union of the three clans. He joined there as a mercenary. Since he has the advantage with the three clans, he is now taking it a bit easy.

All he is doing is gaining achievements one after another and relaxedly getting into the good graces of the combined forces. Now he is leading a team that is on the front lines of the attacks.

His plan is to rake in enough to achieve so that he could be part of the team that goes to capture the kid. According to the mission, he doesn’t need to be the one actually to hold the child and hand it over, he just needs to contribute in making sure that it happens.

It is the easiest task.

.....

The meeting is over even before Dayus could speak up and he couldn’t help but curse under his breath.

“These idiots. They don’t even know what kind of situation they are in. What should I do for them to get some sense of these things?”

Dayus is having his usual ego complex going on.

Back in the cave.

Sam finally came out of his meditation. He is relaxed and ready for the next challenge.

“So, who is our next target? How about we got for the next closest one?”

Sam asked Maya who is bathing her children.

“If you are going for the next closest family, then I don’t really know much about them. All I can tell you is that they are religious.

They are devouts of Olympus and Zeus. They believe that Zeus put them in this world as his messenger and their duty solely revolve around propagating Olympus and its beliefs.”

Sam chuckled when he heard this.

Religion is one of the most amusing things to him. In this life and the last. A good religious belief brings structure, routine, morality, and good behavior to a person. That makes them functional with a proper ethical bottom line and then there is a different kind of religious belief.

A religious belief that is used as a shield to get a moral high ground to conceal their hypocrisy.

He has a feeling that the family he is going to meet falls into the second category.

As he was about to ask a few questions, Sam suddenly felt the time freeze once again.

He frowned and looked at Lucifer who appeared out of thin air.

“What do you want again? You want to make another deal?”

“Nope. This time, I came here to grant you a favor.”

“A favor?”

“No, favor is not the right word. I came here to tell you or rather show you something.”

He waved his hand and a screen appeared in front of Sam. Inside the screen, he saw a few familiar faces. The faces usually put a smile on his face, but now they made him frown in anger.

Those are the faces of his students and right now they are all tied up. Bloodied faces and there are a bunch of young men and women surrounding them.

They are bashing the crap out of his students. His students are outnumbered.

One of the young men who is doing a number of Kasi’s face spoke.

“You bastards killed eighteen of our elders, two clan leaders, and four grand elders. It took over twenty-three cultivators all stronger than you, to lay down the ambush and capture you. Out of twenty-three, seven are dead and three are severely injured.

You should be really proud.

But I am going to make you suffer for all of this.”

The room is relatively dark and damp. All the students are tied up to chairs and the young men and women are taking turns beating them up.

One of the young men is playing around with Executioner Sword.

Habi looked at him coldly and when that person is about to wield that sword he coldly spoke.

“Try to wield it and I will fucking gut you.”

His words made everyone stop in the room for a second. It became dead silent.

The man looked at Habi and his state.

He is beaten up a lot. His face looks barely recognizable. Out of all the students he is beaten up a lot. Almost all of his bones are broken.

Anyone could guess why he is like that. He caused the most damage to the other party. He killed and destroyed people as if he was pulling weeds out of a field.

He killed more than all of his peers.

And still, his eyes looked like he could kill a dozen more as long as one of his hands is free.

The man with the sword walked forward as he held the executioner’s sword and pointed at Habi.

“So, who made this sword? He is a great artisan I must tell you. It was beautifully crafted.”

Habi looked at him without answering.

“Do you know that all three of our clans are famous for artisanship? We are gods in weapon making and I am still impressed by this craftsmanship. Even in this room, we have some of the greatest weapon makers in the world.

And I still want to meet this guy. I want to hire him to be an external member of my clan.

So, let’s cut a deal. I will grant you a quick and easy death. Tell me where I can find this guy.”

“Hahaha…”

“Hahahaha….”

“Pfft…”

All of Sam’s students started laughing their hearts out. They felt like they heard the biggest joke of their lives.

“Why the fuck are you laughing?”

The man asked angrily.

“Of course, they are going to laugh. Your words are laughable.”

Suddenly a female voice was heard.

Sirona walked in with a crystal tablet in her hand. She is looking at the footage as she walked over leisurely.

All the youngsters got vigilant and looked at her.

“Who the fuck are you? Why are you here?”

“To take the kids back of course.”

She looked around once and her eyes landed on the kids.

“I told you guys to be careful, didn’t I? Why would you just fall into such an obvious trap? Your teacher is so great at traps and even the Dusk organization’s whole combat operations run like that. And to think that you would fall for such an obvious little trap?

After this, go back and grind your basics once again. No more war for you until you pass the test.”

She didn’t even care that the kids are tied up and they are in the middle of enemies.

The youngster who is holding the executioners walked forward and asked.

“Who are you? Are they your students?”

“I am Sirona. Researcher and Teacher Dusk organization. And no, they are not my students. I teach them sometimes, but their teacher is a different person.”

“So, Sirona. Do we look like some pushovers to you and whatever this Dusk organization is? Do you really think you can just come here and take them away?

For the things those guys did, we are going to make them, you, and all of your Dusk organization pay.

We also heard a little bit about their teacher from our priests. Isn’t he someone named Sam or something? We will definitely kill him too. So, it is better if you surrender right now and stop this charade. It’s insulting.”

“I don’t mean to be insulting. But I am going to take them away. As for killing their teacher, it is even more laughable than what you previously said.”

“Oh really, why is that? What is so special about him?”

“I don’t know how to put it in words. He has too many specialties. But since you are an artisan yourself, let me put it this way.

Do you have something in your creations, the best one of them all? The one you put everything you have and you made it just so that you can? Just to show off to the best of your ability? Not just because you have to do it, but because you want to do it. To perform, to create something that represents everything great about your ability.”

“Of course I do. Everybody does.”

“Then Sam is just that. When the universe is creating all these creatures, one time it decided to show off and it made Sam.”

As she spoke, she clicked something on the tab.

*BOOM*
