Chapter 51 The CEO's Runaway Omega And Three Little Buns 29

The next day, the Zhang family, Li Shiyu and Li Yexi were all over the media. There were reports and pictures of Zhang Jun after receiving his sentence and of the Zhang family head fainting in the courtroom.

As invested as the neitizens were in the news of an elite family crumbling, they were more interested in the topic that stood at the number one spot on the trending list.

#LI YEXI, COMPASSIONATE ELITE OR PERPETUAL CHILD ABUSER?

The media company went on to attach pictures of Li Shiyu kneeling in front of Li Yexi and crying. Next, they gave a detailed report of the events that went on the day before making sure to make their words as juicy and catchy as possible with a few exaggerations here and there.

The climax of the article were a couple of before and after photos of the kids. When they newly returned to China compared to how they looked the day before. They even mentioned how the kids were yet to resume schooling since they were left under Li Yexi's care.

At the end of the article, the neitizens were furious and cussing Li Yexi out in the most unimaginable ways possible. You could hate on the adults, you could scheme against the adults, you could emotionally abuse the adults but to hate on kids who had no control over who they were born to? Li Yexi was truly too vicious!

The amount of death threats and hate speeches on Li Yexi's social media account was overwhelming and He Yuan had to put the account on private and switch off the phone for extra measure.

Those reporters were truly glib tongued. It was amazing how they twisted everything to give Li Yexi the persona of a villain. Even going as far as to blame Li Yexi for the kids being at home.

They were five for crying out loud! They were meant to be in kindergarten, which they were abroad until Li Shiyu suddenly decided to bring them home in the middle of the school session.

Once they returned, the Zhang madam had managed to convince everyone to let the kids sit out kindergarten and rather stay at home so they could build their bond as a family.

Zhang Jun had quickly agreed since more than half a year had already passed and the kids were so intelligent that they could directly enroll them into primary school, even higher for Zhang Di and Zhang Ye, given the level of their intelligence, once they turned six.

Even if the words the reporters said were true, it was quite presumptuous of them to think that, in a house full of grown ups, no one would notice that the kids were being held back from going to school, given how they all claimed to care and dote on the kids in question!

RING!!

Li Yexi had a spare phone for emergencies and that was what was currently ringing. Only Li Anjing and Li Shu knew of this line so he was pretty sure it was one of them.

[Yexi~] A sad voice said from the other end.

"Big brother."

[Don't be sad okay? Those people are only spouting bullshit. I already have the public relations from the Li Group taking those posts down.]

"Hmm, it's okay. I'm not really sad."

[You don't have to pretend to be tough-] The alpha hesitated for a moment. [Yexi, why don't you... Come home, hm?]

He Yuan had been eagerly waiting for those exact words so he said, "Okay."

[I know you're still in love with-] A pause. [Did you say okay?]

He Yuan nodded even if the alpha couldn't see him. "Yes. I already packed my stuff."

There were sounds of rustling. [Okay! Wait for me, big brother is coming!] And then the alpha hung up.

He Yuan at the boxes that had been stacked at the corner of the room. Li Yexi had too many belongings and he'd spent all night packing them up.

He'd barely closed his eyes to sleep when Li Yexi's phone notification started ringing out repeatedly, rousing him from his sleep. He cross checked the video feeds, he didn't plan on taking the cameras down just yet.

Once he was done cleaning up, he went downstairs to rummage for food. The kids were all seating obediently in the living room in their PJs, this was about the time they usually had their breakfast.

Li Shiyu seemed to have forgotten that there were no servants in the mansion. He Yuan scoffed as he walked over to the kitchen. Li Shiyu had been doing a good job neglecting his own children and yet the media blamed their slightly malnourished figures on Li Yexi.

After preparing a bowl of cereal, he walked over to the dining room and locked eyes with Zhang Hua's larger ones in the living room. The little girl hopped down from the sofa and slowly walked over to the dining room, gulping as she did.

"W... What's that?" She asked, pointing at the bowl. He Yuan stared at the child. Even if she hadn't been possessed by the cultivator, being around her brothers all the time had caused her own personality to be affected too but now that the the cultivator was gone, she was back to normal like her brothers.

"Cereal," He Yuan answered. "Do you want some?"

Zhang Hua puffed her cheeks and slowly nodded like a pecking hen. It was quite cute.

He Yuan sighed. He could decide to ignore the kids out of spite of the news all over the media but taking out his anger on a bunch of kids was something he would never be caught dead doing. It wasn't their fault that Li Shiyu was using them as bullets against Li Yexi.

"Okay, hop on the chair, I'll go make you some." He looked over to the living room. "I'm referring to you boys too, get on the dining chair and wait."

The boys' eyes widened and they both hopped down from the sofa and trudged over to the dining room like penguins. He Yuan had to bite the inside of his cheek to stop himself from smiling at how adorable they were.

He made three bowls of cereal with dried fruits and placed them in front of the kids. The children quickly picked up their spoons and drew a bowl each to themselves.

"What are you doing?"

The kids' eyes widened and they quickly dropped their spoons like they'd been caught doing something bad. He Yuan frowned as Li Shiyu rushed over to grab his children and hug them. Tears were beginning to form in the omega's eyes.

"Yexi, they're just kids. Why won't you let them off?"

He Yuan folded his arms across his chest. "What's all this display for? What crime did I commit this time? You better speak up, the cereal is getting soggy."

"You..." Li Shiyu bit his lips at a loss for words and then his eyes darted over to the bowls of cereal. He held his kids tighter. "You should know by now that Zhang Hua is allergic to raisins and yet you added that to her cereal."

He Yuan laughed. This Li Shiyu would bullshit his way through anything. When and how did Zhang Hua start to become allergic to raisins? "Just now, you were too far away to know that the bowls contained raisins and yet you rushed over to pull your kids. Is that really the reason?"

Li Shiyu started shaking pitifully. "How could there be any other reason? Yexi I know you hate me but you don't have to target the kids like this."

"Kids?" He Yuan scoffed. "Since you claimed Zhang Hua is allergic to raisins, why aren't the others eating? Or are they allergic to milk? If you don't want me feeding your kids, you could just say so rather than laying false accusations against me."

"Yexi how can you-"

"What's going on here?" The Zhang madam appeared in the dining room the old lady looked pale with an annoyed frown etched on her face.

Li Shiyu looked like he'd found a saviour. His tears started spilling. "Mother~ Li Yexi tried to feed Zhang Hua raisins." The Zhang madam looked confused so he continued, "Zhang Hua is allergic to raisins."

He Yuan laughed at the Zhang madam's stunned look. He was pretty sure she also knew that Li Shiyu was bullshitting. "You know this is not the first time the little girl had been served raisins in this mansion so where did this sudden allergy pop out from?"

Li Shiyu sobbed rather loudly. "Yexi, what do you mean? I'm Zhang Hua's daddy, I've been with her right from birth. How could I not know what my child is allergic to?"

The Zhang madam seemed to be convinced by Li Shiyu's words so she glared at He Yuan. "Li Yexi, you're truly too good aren't you? Going as far as to attack a child. You must be doing this to take revenge because of the news all over the media!"

He Yuan groaned. How could he forget that the Zhang madam was as unreasonable as Li Shiyu, if not more? He shrugged them off and walked away. Even when the Zhang madam called out to him, he played deaf.

He had tried to feed the kids out of the goodness of his heart but ended up suffering such an injustice. This kind of thing was what made people blacken into villains.

888 suddenly laughed. [You don't have to exaggerate.]

"Don't bother me 888," He Yuan rolled his eyes. "I can already feel my heart blackening."

"Don't worry, I'll make noodles for everyone." He heard Li Shiyu say from the dining room so he looked over in time to see the kids with horrified looks on their faces and the Zhang madam smiling warmly at Li Shiyu.

He Yuan sniggered in schadenfreude. The poor woman. If only she knew what she was getting into. Li Shiyu's noodles was not something you would want to start your day with.

He was about to walk upstairs when the doorbell rang. It was probably Li Shu.

The Zhang madam walked out of the dining room with the kids in time to see Li Shu enter the Zhang mansion with a group of men. She frowned. "What's going on?"

Li Shu smiled. "Good morning madam Zhang. I'm here to pick up my younger brother and his things."

"Things? What do you mean his things?" She looked over to He Yuan. "Where are you going?"

He Yuan smiled brightly at her. "Home."

The Zhang madam's eyes widened and her face reddened in pure rage.
