Lucas was standing on top of the arena and was looking at the masked man. The platform was covered in water, making it difficult to stand on.

"How did you know?" Sayu asked.

"The water god told me."

"What?"

"Look at your face. You're clearly frustrated."

Sayu looked down and saw that he was indeed very frustrated, "You're right, I'm the avatar." He spoke softly, "but how did you know?"

"Because I've seen you before." Lucas looked down at the ground. "In the game."

"The game?"

"Yeah. I know about it."

"And yet you came here to fight me? Why?"

"I wanted to prove myself."

"Prove yourself?"

"To myself. I always wondered if I was worthy of the title of Hero." Lucas looked at Sayu and smiled. "But now, I know for sure."

"What do you mean?"

"Everything in this world is a test. When I first met you, you challenged me and gave me the opportunity to prove myself. And now, I can finally put an end to you." Lucas smiled and turned his gaze towards the platform, "I will take you."

"Wait..."

Lucas didn't respond to Sayu's call. Instead, he focused his attention and summoned water from the pond. He formed it into a ball and then threw it at Sayu's chest.

Sayu raised his arm to dodge the attack, but he was too late. The ball hit him and sent him flying backwards. He hit the platform and fell into the water below.

"This isn't over." Lucas said as he watch Sayu change his form

Sayu rose from the water and stood in front of Lucas, but not in a human form. Rather, he changed into a serpent, with scales and fangs. He stared at Lucas, "I'm your avatar."

"Oh really?" Lucas laughed. "Is that why you're so weak?"

"Weak? You're just a child playing the game."

"Don't talk like that! I'm not just a child, and I'm much more powerful than you!"

"You haven't even come close."

"That's enough!" Luu shouted while clapping hands together.

Both Lucas and Sayu turned their heads towards the God of Fire who stood on the platform beside Luu.

"Enough of your banter, both of you," He said. "You have to match and get along to be able to defeat your enemies," He paused and looked at both of them. "But first, you have to make peace with each other."

"Peace?"

Luu nodded and continued, "you must learn to work together with your enemy or else you won't be able to defeat them."

"Luu is right!" Sayu shouted.

Lucas looked at Luu and said, "You're right."

They both bowed before the God of Fire and then turned towards one another.

"Let's make peace!" Lucas said.

"Yes, let's!" Sayu replied.

Lucas and Sayu looked at each other and smiled. Then, they began to walk towards each other, bowing deeply. As they walked closer, Lucas noticed that Sayu was holding his mask. He looked at the ground and saw that Sayu was wearing a white robe with a large red sash wrapped around his waist, and a large piece of cloth covering his mouth and nose.

"Are you okay?" Lucas asked.

"Yes," Sayu replied. "I am fine."

"Good." Lucas placed a hand on his shoulder and said, "thank you for taking me to the arena."

Sayu nodded and smiled. "Thank you for coming here."

"We're friends now." Lucas looked at Sayu and smiled. "Right?"

"Yes," Sayu nodded.

"All right," Lucas replied. "Now let's go."

Lucas and Sayu walked towards the platform where the God of Water stood. He slowly moved to the centre of the platform and faced them. He looked at both of them and then said, "Okay. Let's begin."

The God of Water then waved his hand and the platform started to move. They were soon standing on a small island surrounded by water. A large monster appeared in front of them, which turned out to be a gigantic turtle.

"It looks like we're fighting a turtle." Lucas said.

Sayu shook his head, "no, this is the shape of me..." He walked closer to a turtle and like a ghost entered its body.

Lucas watched as Sayu disappeared into the body of the turtle. Suddenly, he heard a gurgling sound as the water surrounding the turtle started to swirl and rise.

"What's happening?" Lucas asked Luu.

"The avatar accepts you as his master," Luu replied with a deep voice. "He is now part of you."

Lucas looked at Sayu's body and saw that it had completely transformed into the form of the turtle.

"Wow," Lucas said. "Looks like you're really strong."

Sayu nodded without saying anything, "well, then get to the spirits form," Luu ordered the turtle and he vanished into a thin air.

"Wow! What happened? Where did he go?" Lucas asked Luu.

"His spirit has left his body, now he is just a turtle. He will be able to use all the powers of a turtle. He also gained some speed and strength."

"Will I see him again?" Lucas asked.

Luu nodded. "Yes, but only when he's in turtle form."

"Okay." Lucas nodded. "Then, let's get going."

The God of Water blew on the flute and the water beneath them stopped swirling. The platform continued to move until they reached the shore. "See, the avatar obeys you," Luu suddenly spoke.

"But why?"

Luu sighed, "he challenged you into a duel and you manage to win it, you proved to him that your heart is pure and you can achieve anything you want," Luu closed his eyes, "but enough for today, your friends are waiting for you. You guys are leaving tomorrow."

"Tomorrow!" Lucas flinched as he shouted.

This was surprising to him, because the time he had spent here had already passed so quickly. He was already used to Luu, extra trainin' and the rest of the people who lived in the dorms. "Where are we going?"

Luu looked at him and said, "where the system tell you to go," He paused for a moment and said, "and what you need to do is to get stronger. That's why I brought you here, so you'll be able to fight."

"Stronger? Am I stronger now?" Lucas asked.

"No," Luu shook his head. "Not yet."

"But I'm training every day."

"Yes, but you need to train harder," Luu smiled. "I believe that there are other ways to improve yourself aside from physical activity."

While they were talking, Lucas didn't even notice how fast they have reached the dorms, "you used magic, didn't you?" Lucas sighed and then smiled.

"Who knows, now it's time to rest for you," Luu said while pointing towards the dorm building. "Have fun. Sleep well."
