The man then delivered a swift, powerful kick to Lucas' stomach, which knocked him sideways. Elias followed up with a punishing roundhouse kick to Lucas' head, sending him flying across the room.

Lucas hit the wall hard and slid to the floor. Blood dripped from his mouth as he gathered his senses.

"Kali," he groaned.

Lucas looked up at the man and said, "you're done."

"You think so?" Lucas asked. The man then stepped forward and swung his arm toward Lucas' midsection. Lucas dodged the blow and countered with a quick jab to the man's chest. The man grunted and stumbled backwards, clutching his chest.

"That's what I thought," Lucas replied and he pounced on the man, delivering three consecutive blows to the man's head. The man was clearly unconscious now, but Lucas still had to make sure that the man wouldn't wake up again.

With one last punch to the man's face, Lucas delivered the finishing blow: he snapped the man's neck and tossed his body aside, "just die!" Lucas yelled.

Lucas slowly got to his feet, but he was not able to stand straight. "Kali, are you okay?" He asked.

"Yes, but we need to find a safe place to rest," Kali replied.

"Okay..." Lucas leaned against the wall for support and took a deep breath, trying to recover his strength. He looked over at Kali and noticed that she was limping badly; her left ankle was twisted and swollen.

Lucas stared at her for a moment and then reached out and gently started to massage the injured ankle.

"Ow! Stop that," Kali snaps.

Lucas decided to ignore her and continued to rub the area around her ankle. It wasn't long before she relaxed and let out a soft moan of pleasure.

After a few moments, Lucas stopped rubbing her. "Are you ready to move on?"

"Yes," Kali replied.

Lucas gave her a weary smile and said, "let's go."

Lucas turned around and saw the man rising back up with a fierce look in his eyes.

"Leave him to me," he said while looking at Kali.

The man gave a cruel smile and said, "no one can stop me now. Not even you."

Lucas stepped away from the wall and raised his sword, "I guess, there's no other choice," he looked behind the man and saw Haya still fighting with another man, 'you're still fighting too,' he inhaled.

Lucas decided not to waste any more of his time and swung his sword at the man's head, but the man ducked the blow and delivered an uppercut to Lucas' jaw, knocking him off balance. The man followed up with a vicious knee to Lucas' gut, sending him crashing to the ground.

"How did you do this?" Lucas asked slowly as blood trickled from his nose.

"I have plenty of ways," Elias replied as he closed in to deliver another blow, "now die!"

A beam of light shoots out from between the man's fingers, aimed directly at Lucas.

"Kali!" Lucas shouted.

"I'm coming!" Kali replied, "no, run!" He demanded, but she didn't listen.

Suddenly, a bright flash of lightning struck the ground nearby, creating a small crater.

Lucas looked up and saw a pink scaly shield hovering in front of him. "Kali!" he shouted.

"Don't worry about me!" Kali replied while shouting at him.

She dashed towards the man and blocked his next attack with her own body, but the man quickly moves in and tried to hit her with another strike.

"Not this time!" Lucas shouted and dove for the man's legs, grabbing hold of them and pulling them back. As soon as he did so, Lucas felt something snap inside his chest.

"Tch...!" Elias gritted his teeth.

Lucas looks down at his chest and gasped, "what happened?"

"You should probably lie down before you pass out," Kali replied with a worried look in her eyes.

Lucas nodded and sat on the ground.

Haya staggered to his feet, looking exhausted and battered but determined. His clothes were torn and bloody, and he had several scratches and bruises. He also appeared to have broken his wrist, and his arm was wrapped up in a makeshift splint.

"We need to keep moving," Haya said slowly.

Lucas sighed. His left arm felt weak and heavy, "move where?" The man was already standing beside Lucas, blocking his way out of the room, "this can't be right..." Lucas whispered while trying to fold his fists.

"The only other exit leads to the outside," Haya said.

He stood up unsteadily and faced Elias one more time.

"It's not over yet," the man said coldly.

"Just try it," Lucas replied.

The man gave another cruel smile and said, "I will kill you both."

Lucas looked at the man calmly and replied, "we'll see about that."

Elias began to laugh loudly and then said, "you can't defeat me!"

Lucas walked towards him and put his sword against the man's throat. "You're going to wish you never met us." He inhaled more air, summoning Renexa took a lot of his energy, but he was ready to fight again if necessary.

The man smiled at Lucas and said, "you think you can beat me? Ha! Just wait until you feel my wrath!"

Lucas grunted and grabbed the man by his hair, pulling it tight enough so that Elias couldn't speak without choking himself. "Who sent you?" Lucas demanded.

The man struggled to free himself from Lucas' grasp, but then he just laughed.

"No one sent me," he replied.

Lucas gave him a cold glare and said, "then who are you working for?"

The man gave a sadistic smile and said, "why do you care?

Lucas looked into the man's eyes and said, "because I don't want to end up like your victims."

Elias laughed again. "You really believe that? You think you can win against me?"

After a few seconds, Kalaini appeared out of nowhere and started murmuring something in her mouth, a huge light explodes, and she released magic power from her mouth.

The mana exploded around her, making the floor shake.

"What..." Elias dropped his jaw.

But before he could finish speaking, Kalaini's magic caused him to fall unconscious.

Kalai moved closer to Lucas, "Are you okay?" She asked.

Lucas coughed and shook his head. "Yeah, I'm fine," he replied, "but how did you do that?"

Kalaini lifted the corners of her lips and said, "Don't you remember? I'm a magician."
