Chapter 64 This System Don't Like To Listen

Into the ice-kissed air came wintry-feathears of pure white, a great snowfall that soon gave way to a blizzard, as of a sky damn had burst.

"What just happened?"

Lucas's eyelashes felt heavy as if something was on them. He blinked.

"No way!!" His flashing eyes and broad grin were covering his face right now, "we made it! Yahooo!" He shouted while strongly holding himself on Kali's scales.

His trembling chin and automatically forced giggle made his body shake, "I can't believe we made it!" He spoke loudly as the heavy air and the falling snow were coming into his face.

"I don't know how you've managed it, but I will forever be thankful to your dumbass!" Spoke Kalaini while holding still on Kali's wing.

"All we need right now is to bring the boy to Lya, and kill the monster!" Xina made a statement from Kali's other wing.

Kali kept on flapping her wings through the storm filled with icy snow, "I hope he's okay," Lucas thought when remembering the boy who was behind Haya's back.

Before leaving the city, Haya asked Notru if he wanted to walk or be carried to the place where his spirit lives.

Haya had control of many spirits and that allowed him to make contracts with the rest of them with no problems. One thing that gave him a lot of benefits was that if someone is not as tall as him, he could keep them in his pouch warm and safe.

To avoid trouble, and in case of a fight, they all decided that it would be best if Notru would say in the spirit world.

They belong to Haya, so they couldn't hurt a boy without his permission, it was sound and safe for him to stay in a place where, and them being trapped in snow and flying on a dragon, Haya's magical pouch was the best thing they could ever ask for right now.

"He's okay, spirits will definitely take care of him, nothing to worry about!" Shouted Haya when inhaling more air.

The heavy rain of snowflakes made it hard for everyone to cope, it wasn't as bad as if they were trapped before, the situation was five times better but the cold wind was slapping everyone's faces.

"That's how probably everyone feels after being hit by Renexa," Xina smirked.

Lucas looked down on the ground, and saw a huge mountain covered in white colour powder, the sky that looked more peaceful was stormy than the bottom, 'I'm so happy Kali was able to turn into a dragon,' little giggles were felt in his throat.

"What's that?" Lucas asked when he noticed something black following them.

"It's Wernus," Haya sighed when he answered.

"These monsters were the ones who caused the snowstorm in the first place, they control this are and bury every single intruder," Xina's eyes were focused on them.

"Intruders? Why did we come this way then?" Lucas looked at Kalaini who was probably guilty of this situation right now, "don't look at me like that, I forgot about them." She held herself tighter when Kali flapped her wings one more time.

There were about five of them, these creatures were about two meters tall and had weird, curly horns on them.

Their bodies looked muscular and they had broad shoulders. Skin of these monsters was in dark blue colour, 'wow, almost as if they look like trolls in video games,' Lucas gulped.

"What do they do exactly?" He asked Haya as he was holding onto Kali's scales near him.

"There are some areas that have protectors, like me- the protector of the black sea, they have this mountain to protect." His voice was calm considering the situation they were all in just a few minutes ago.

Holding on to a dragon, they all seemed more relaxed and relieved right now, 'the battle with winter is over,' a quick thought went through his mind.

He wanted to laugh at how pathetic he felt when he realised that bringing Izek into this situation would make him feel better. He actually had no idea how would he cope with Izek's existence and how would everyone else react if he showed up.

This made a heavy rock fall from Lucas's chest, he thought that these situations he was in right now will no longer require him to depend on a cold-blooded Izek.

"I think everything will be better from now on," a little smile appeared on his face when he thought about it.

Once he's done with this bullshit and wins the game that the system told him about it, releases everyone from its curse and goes back home, he will play with Mina as if nothing ever happened.

His goal was to make his sister healthy again, and if the system had the power to fulfil his wish, he was ready to do anything for it.

-You really think so?-

Someone laughed inside his head.

'Please, get out of my body,' Lucas squeezed his eyes when he replied to the biggest sadist in this place.

What he was able to find out about Izek so far was that he didn't like happy moments, and if he was about to share any of them with his teammates, Izek would be there to destroy his happy moments.

-Why should I? It's my body now too.-

Izek sounded as if he just wanted to cause trouble.

Lucas already imagined him with that creepy smile he had on his face, and his head lifted high. As if no one was allowed to look at him at all, he wouldn't talk to anyone but if he had, he would be disrespectful as if he didn't care at all.

'Do whatever...' Lucas sighed.

Letting him manipulate him and destroy his bright mood would be something that Izek want to do, but this was no longer Lucas's case.

He didn't care anymore about him, nor could feel threatened. Izek was like an old and scary memory from childhood to him that vanishes once you get older.

Nothing else came out from Izek's mouth, he probably understood that Lucas wasn't going to give in to his mind games again, and just kept on being quiet.

"Here, Lya's castle!"

Kali's voice distracted Lucas's thought from Izek's demon time, he looked in front and saw...
