86 Chapter 86 The Hunter and the Alchemist

(Third Person POV)

Keeping the bowstring partially taut and the arrowhead pointed at the girl in front of him, Desmond did not let down his guard just because of the girl’s beautiful appearance, at the end of the day he couldn’t tell whether or not the girl was related to him whatever was infecting this forest.

Speaking of the girl’s appearance, she was really something special, she was about six feet tall, long hair a little wavy of a beautiful raspberry color that matched her bright eyes of the same color, her face was adorable with cheeks that asked screaming to be pinched, her skin was wheat color only slightly tanned probably from spending so much time in the forest, she had plump but well-formed breasts that seemed only slightly too big for a person of her size, the same thing that could be said about her hips; In short: she was an adorable girl, with exotic hair and eyes; and an incredibly seductive body.

Of course, if someone were to ask Desmond for his opinion, he would say that while those traits were important. . . especially those referring to those curves that so aroused his libido, he would also point out two peculiar features of the girl in addition to her hair and eyes. The first would be the fact that her ears were slightly narrower but elongated than normal human ears, almost looking like a smaller version of an elf’s ears in a fantasy novel.

The second feature would be one that Desmond only noticed after a closer observation and was that hidden in the girl’s voluminous hair there were hidden in her forehead what looked like a small pair of horns, these seemed to be made of ruby ??or something similar and were incredibly well hidden in plain sight. But Desmond, who was aware of the existence of a whole multiverse of species, did not give too much importance to the peculiarity of these traits, so he only thought that they made the girl look more attractive.

Of course, Desmond was not the only one who had the opportunity to take a closer look at the person in front of him, so Sasha also formed her own opinions about Desmond, but as naive as she was, these could be summed up incredibly brief. : handsome boy, blue eyes as a jewel of the ocean, black hair like twilight oak, tall, good body, occupation probably hunter and well equipped by the standards of this region.

Of course, Sasha’s profession was reflected even in her way of describing things, so she used names of materials with which she was familiar to compare with the characteristics that she observed in Desmond.

In Desmond’s case. . . Well as a renowned womanizing idiot, he basically evaluated all of Sasha’s sex appeal before moving on to relevant observations.

′′ In that case, Sasha, can you tell me what you are looking for in this section of the forest? Maybe I can help you. ′′

.....

Seeing through the true intent of Desmond’s question, Sasha laid out her case hoping to make Desmond completely lower his gun.

′′ I am an alchemist therefore I am dedicated to the investigation of all kinds of compounds and magic potions for various purposes, I live in a cabin in a nearby section of the forest, I usually do not come to this region so I was not aware of the irregularities in it, but in my most recent project, I found myself in the need to acquire certain types of metallic materials that as you can imagine are easier to find in this region. So could you please put the gun down? I feel really uncomfortable when a human points one at me. ′′

Realizing that his intentions to inquire into Sasha’s actions and background, were seen, Desmond felt somewhat uncomfortable, but he was also satisfied with the explanation given by the girl so he put the issue aside and completely lowered the arc keeping again arrow that was drawn on it.

′′ Sorry about that, but as you can imagine things around here are quite strange and a beautiful girl quietly wandering through a forest like this is another strange thing to add to the mix so I got a little nervous. ′′ I said with a somewhat helpless shrug.

′′ I understand it too, if it weren’t for the trail of corpses you left behind, I would also think that a lonely stranger is a suspect under the circumstances. ′′ Sasha exclaimed quite sympathetic to the circumstances.

Having cleared the main doubts and mistrust of both, they proceeded to get a little closer in a more friendly way and proceeded to continue their conversation; only this time there wasn’t a gun pointed at either of them.

???????????????? ???????????????????????????? ???????????????????????? ???????????????????? ???????? ????????????????????-????????????.????????????

′′ You said something strange before, you said you were uncomfortable with a human pointing a weapon at you, why should it matter if the person pointing a gun at you is human or not? ′′ Expressed Desmond quite puzzled by how specific was the expression used by the alchemist.

′′ Well, it’s pretty simple. . . because I’m not human. ′′ Sasha said with some regret and caution.

′′ That is quite clear, but does that have any relevance? ′′ As stupid as Desmond could be at times, his doubt was not cleared up.

′′ Of course, it is relevant, did you not see the color of my eyes and my hair? ′′ Sasha said somewhat exasperated by the stupidity of the man in front of her.

′′ Of course, I saw it, it’s hard not to see it. . . It is exotic of course, but also incredibly beautiful. ′′ Desmond expressed with a sincerity uncharacteristic of someone like him.

This comment seemed to take the naive alchemist by surprise who was now as reddish as her hair and as ashamed as she was mentally possible. After stuttering a bit using a voice as low as a whisper; she finally managed to get the next word out of her lips.

′′ But you also saw my ears, right, they are not like those of human beings, you can also pretend all you want, but I saw your eyes fixate on them, didn’t you see them? The horns; Don’t they seem abominable to you? ′′ This time Sasha’s words sounded somewhat frantic as if she was desperately seeking to be proved right, too bad she was asking the wrong man, after all, Desmond could be many things and the military were painfully aware of it; but he had never been someone who treated the female sex badly. . . he in fact was known to treat women too well, seriously too well.

′′ Of course, I saw them, they are like precious gems that decorate your hair highlighting a more intense red in them, your ears are small and pointed, they indeed are not human, but anyone with eyes can say that they only make you look adorable; just as your horns highlight your seductive charm even more. . . As for abominable? I’ll be the first to beat up whoever says that. ′′ Desmond expressed with great seriousness and honesty regarding Sasha’s statements.

At the end of the day Desmond was in heart and spirit a defender of feminine beauty, he believed that a beautiful woman could be beautiful regardless of skin color, height, complexion, or racial features; now with a broader perspective of the universe Desmond could say the same even if the girl had horns, wings or a tail.

And so a lost hunter with a mission of indefinite viability met a silly and lonely alchemist, in front of a stream they had their first conversation, that began with one of them pointing a weapon at the other and both suspecting the intentions of their counterpart; but when someone asked the alchemist what is now blushing furiously, at what moment of falling in love with Desmond?.... She would say that it was at this moment, in front of the stream, in the middle of her native forest, that Desmond, being human, praised her for every trait of her that all other human beings had disowned for as long as he could remember with his beautiful blue ice eyes full with sincerity.
