Fortunately, Yuzuru’s fears – that there would be too much food – were unfounded.

The beach, the charcoal fire, the BBQ, and the company of like-minded friends.

With all these conditions, there was no way the food would not go down well.

As everyone ate lively and merrily, the food quickly dwindled.

Of course, everything could not be eaten up…

Turning it into curry for dinner seemed to be enough to expend it.

Then in the afternoon, everyone spent time sunbathing, playing beach volleyball (split into men and women), swimming, and so on…

The time passed quickly.

For dinner, they cooked curry, finished eating, and even cleaned up afterward…

“Don’t go to bed yet, everyone! The night is just getting started here, and it’s going to be a long one!”

Everyone nodded at Ayaka’s words.

No one was going to sleep yet.

“Then Arisa-chan… what movie did you bring?”

The movie was Arisa’s assignment for everyone to watch together at night.

The genre was not questioned, and it was left entirely up to Arisa.

(But leaving the movie to Arisa is…)

Although it was not a proper way to put it, the image of Arisa engaging in entertainment – the so-called ” otaku-like image” – eluded him.

Therefore, Yuzuru honestly did not think that Arisa was the right person for the job.

Perhaps, Ayaka’s intention in entrusting the film to Arisa was half out of curiosity as to what kind of things Arisa would bring to the table.

Yuzuru was also a little curious since he could not claim to know everything about Arisa’s tastes and preferences.

(Somehow, I get the impression that she’d choose a J*di movie, or maybe even a classic romantic romance.)

At least it was unlikely that Arisa would bring a monster movie or an action movie.

And horror movies? That would be out of the question…

“That’s something you’ll have to look forward to seeing.”

Arisa answered Ayaka’s question with a clear expression.

…Apparently, she was confident.

“Eeh, I’m curious! What’s it about?”

“…No, well, to be honest, I don’t know much about the content either.”

Arisa replied to Chiharu.

“It’s… recommended by my adoptive father… Since he has studied abroad in the US, it should be fine.”

Since this is a film chosen by someone who has studied in the U.S., where film culture is thriving, it should definitely be interesting.

Or so, Arisa seemed to think.

A rather fragile rationale.

(…will it be okay?)

Yuzuru was a little worried.

With all due respect, one would not expect Arisa’s adoptive father – Amagi Naoki – to have any sense in that area.

”Have you not checked the contents at all?”

“No, I did check the synopsis. It sounded interesting.”

Yuzuru’s question was answered confidently by Arisa.

At any rate, she had not checked the contents at all.

“Yuzurun, did you prepare snacks for the party?”

“Well, more or less.”

Incidentally, Yuzuru was in charge of sweets.

Yuzuru took out the snacks he had purchased from his backpack.

From snack foods like potato chips to little candy bars, the entire range of items was available.

“He~h, …that’s not so bad.”

“I thought you were going to bring some kind of cake that would be out of place.”

“I can at least read the atmosphere.”

Not that there’s anything wrong with cake, but…

It was just not appropriate as something to put in your mouth while fussing with friends.

“Tenka-chan, what about juice and all?”

“Of course, I’ve got some.”

Tenka was in charge of the drinks.

In addition to the leftover mineral water, green tea, and oolong tea they drank at the BBQ…

She took out a bottle of expensive-looking orange juice.

The label said fresh squeezed.

She had brought quite a good product.

“The preparations are all set… Then, Arisa-san.”

“Yes, I’ll put it on.”

At Hijiri’s urging, Arisa operated the TV remote control.

The movie started and soon the title appeared on the screen.

‘Tornado Shark.’

That was the title of the movie.

“Wow, Arisa-chan! You sure have good taste!”

After the movie was over, Ayaka said in a good mood.

“As expected from Arisa-san! Far from what I expected, but the expectations were answered above and beyond! It was the best!”

Chiharu also praised Arisa.

And Arisa, who was being praised, was…

“That’s right. It was interesting. …It was the right decision to rely on my adoptive father.”

She nodded in satisfaction.

“How was it, Yuzuru-san?”

“Eh? ah …well, yeah, inter…no, it was fun.”

It was more amusing than interesting.

That was his impression of the film.

The film, in which sharks (and sometimes crocodiles) descend from the sky in a typhoon, was hardly one would call interesting, even as flattery, especially since it was as if it lacked at least three screws in its head.

However, it was fun enough to watch with a lot of people laughing and making jokes.

In a sense, it was the best choice for this occasion.

“…do you like this kind of stuff, Arisa?”

“Yes, I like them!”

With a big smile on her face, Arisa replied.

“I-I see…”

Thus, Yuzuru learned an unexpected aspect about his fiancée.
