“Am I wrong?” Fiddling with Sehun’s sleeve, Yoonshin felt a bit sheepish.

Yoonshin thought that Sehun would make fun of him for his mind being in the gutter, but Sehun simply corrected him, “Let’s take a breather up in the lounge over tea. If you’re really tired, we can take a break in a room.”

“N-no, I’m all right. I’m just mentally drained, not physically tired. Besides, Secretary Tak told me to see you off to the end. He said you need to review and organize the information you gained today. We can continue our date later.”

Sehun read the sincerity in the quietly blinking Yoonshin and gestured to the exit. On the way out, he met eyes with every person he had talked to and signaled his departure. Yoonshin thought it was a great skill to be so sociable without getting annoyed or angry even once despite not looking like the type to enjoy social events.

Yoonshin quietly followed after Sehun. When they got to the elevator, he checked their surroundings. They were alone. Relieved, he leaned to the side, against Sehun. Strangely enough, Sehun seemed to tolerate Yoonshin acting spoiled. He picked up the end of Yoonshin’s tie, pressing his lips on the blue fabric. Both recalled a certain incident between them a while back and let out a soft chuckle in unison.

At that moment, they heard people approaching from behind. Yoonshin straightened his posture and looked straight ahead. Sehun seemed a bit annoyed, feeling as though he had lost this trivial game, and leaned in and whispered, “Should we just book a room?”

“What will you do after you book one?” Yoonshin asked.

“What you imagined just a moment ago.”

Yoonshin was about to retort on reflex but closed his lips. He did indeed imagine several things. He didn’t hate the thought of it. He also knew the other’s feelings very well. However, Yoonshin had asked Sehun out and confessed his feelings first, so he at least wanted to hear back from Sehun about how he felt concerning Yoonshin. He felt a bit diffident about explaining his complex feelings, so he changed the topic. “You know that you’ve been weird these days?”

“What do you mean?” Sehun asked.

“You’re restless around me and cosseting me. It doesn’t suit you at all.”

“You always complain when I treat you well. You’re taking this all for granted. You should feel lucky that I’m patient.”

“That’s what I want to say to you. Be honest, you agree with me, don’t you?”

Sehun tapped Yoonshin’s forehead, neither confirming nor denying, then stepped into the elevator when the doors opened. The group behind them must have wanted to go to the upper-floor lounge instead of downstairs, so they didn’t get on the elevator.

After the doors closed, they were alone in the confined space. His heart and his body exhausted, Yoonshin rested his head against Sehun. Yoonshin couldn’t exactly say that the other’s sharp and bony shoulders were comfortable, but he felt oddly at ease.

“Why did you bring me here today? Wasn’t it annoying to keep me at your side throughout?” Yoonshin asked.

“Just so I can get you taking baby steps,” Sehun replied.

“When did I grow up so much?”

“Since it was a press company event, I introduced mostly the prominent figures with news anchor backgrounds. Don’t forget the faces of the people you greeted today and send individual messages to them to establish a connection. Of course, nothing will be free, but you might need to join forces with them in the future based on mutual needs. Soohan has as many enemies as they have allies. Using that to your advantage is also a skill.”

“As many enemies as allies. That’s just like you, Attorney Kang.”
