While he was in disbelief, Sehun leaned in, turning his head slightly. Yoonshin was conflicted on whether he should close his eyes or push him away, but before he could register, his eyelids slowly closed.

Then, Sehun’s moist tongue briefly touched Yoonshin’s lips.

It was just then.

Someone appeared from the back.

“Attorney Kang! How about we let the young ones enjoy themselves and us partners lea—Oh my, did I disturb you?”

Mihee who burst out onto the terrace saw the two almost embracing each other and stopped in her tracks. After looking back to check, Sehun finally let go of Yoonshin, who had been imprisoned in the older man’s arms. They naturally stepped apart. Yoonshin rubbed at his bright red face.

Mihee must have felt that the mood in the terrace was suggestive as she was reluctant to come closer. Then, Sehun said frankly, “Don’t misinterpret things. Nothing happened.”

“I didn’t say anything. It’s just that this was quite a new sight for me. I never thought I’d see you with someone in your arms. Attorney Do, if you were uncomfortable, report him to the police. I’ll be your witness.”

Yoonshin glanced between the two then waved his hands in decline. “No, I liked it.”

Then, the two older lawyers gave him strange looks. Sehun frowned, asking him what in the world he was going on about, and Mihee looked amused. He had chosen his words in consideration of the older man, but on second thought, it could sound different only a bit too late depending on the perspective and added, “I meant that I wasn’t uncomfortable. I’m used to it because he does it every now and then.”

“My word, Sehun does that every now and then? I’m just surprised all over again.”

“Fourth year. You could stay silent if you think you’ll say bullshit.” Sehun, unable to bear him any longer, grabbed Yoonshin by the shoulders and pushed him away, then he faced Mihee. Sehun had just called Yoonshin by his name, but they were back to square one. Yoonshin stared at the back of the older man’s head and chewed on his lips. He felt the urge to mess up the well-groomed hair and clenched his fist.

Ignorant to Yoonshin’s thoughts, Sehun pretended like there was nobody behind him and walked toward Mihee. “Let’s go. And the car?”

“Secretary Tak called a chauffeur. We can take your car. Listen, I think I came at the wrong time given the mood… Is it all right to leave him like that? I’m starting to feel sorry.”

“I said you’re misunderstanding the situation.”

“Still. Leaving like this is rude to Attorney Do. Wrap up the situation, and I’ll just go on ahead. Have a restful weekend, and I’ll see you Monday, soldiers.”

She smiled awkwardly, looking truly apologetic, and waved before running off. Sehun watched for a moment then shook his head, making his way out. Yoonshin felt a bit upset now that he wouldn’t even turn back once after pushing him against a hard place.

Just before Sehun disappeared into the corner, Yoonshin snapped back to his senses and hurriedly chased after him. Then, he caught Sehun’s wrist as the other was walking toward the parking lot, out of the exit. Normally, Yoonshin would have let go immediately in surprise the moment they touched, but he didn’t this time. He grabbed Sehun intentionally. “Wait a moment, Senior Attorney. I have something to tell you.”

Sehun glanced down at his caught wrist and frowned. “Are you making light of your superior’s words?”

“Did our lips touch?” Yoonshin asked anyway.

Sehun retorted, “They didn’t.”

“But I’m sure your tongue…”

“They did not.”

“Are you trying to fool me because my eyes were closed? No way. That’s inhumane of you.”

“I’m inhumane. Is that what you need to tell me?”

“See? They did touch,” Yoonshin burst, then realized that this wasn’t the most urgent thing to address. He tried to look composed and continued, “This is just… I’m telling you this, just in case. If you think this has nothing to do with you, you can just forget it. Well, I guess this probably wouldn’t impact your life in any case.”

“I’ll be the one to judge that.”

“I’m going on a blind date next Sunday.”

That moment, Sehun’s brow twitched, unable to hide how perturbed he was.
