930 Chapter 930

Name:Never Judge Author:wounded_warrior
Wanting to avoid whatever attention the press would give him for Lucius Ting's arrest, Cedric had asked his driver to pick him up a distance from the police station.

He borrowed a police jacket and a cap, hiding himself beneath the layers as he walked out through a side entrance.

Cedric wanted to take advantage of the walk to finally be alone with his thoughts.

So much had happened recently that Cedric rarely had a time to reflect on his own. They had just dealt with Aiden when Lucius Ting entered the picture.

Cedric also couldn't help but feel bad about the fact that he had neglected his wife at times while he was busy seeking out a safer future for his children.

He didn't even realize how fast time had passed, it seemed like only yesterday that they found out they were having twins and now his wife was due to give birth soon.

That was another reason why Cedric wanted to quickly wrap up the issue with Lucius Ting, he wanted his twins born in a safer world.

As he walked through a park, he couldn't help but notice how empty it was. He guessed that it was most likely due to the fact that all the members of the media were at the police station, blocking the way to this park.

It was nice to finally get some peace, but Cedric had no plans of relaxing, he kept his disguise and tried to keep to the less used paths.

Unfortunately, he wasn't the only one that was trying to stay hidden.

As Cedric approached his pick up point, he heard voices in the distance.

Normally he would ignore them, but he had a gut feeling that he should listen. Something seemed off about them, something suspicious.

He quickly pulled out his phone to inform his driver that he would be a while as he crept through the bushes to hear the conversation better.

". . .he's worthless. Why is the boss even asking us to save this one?" A woman asked her companion. She seemed to be quite angry at the other person and the one they were calling their boss.

"Because our people swore to help him, that's why." A much calmer male voice said as he seemed to wait for the woman's response.

"Then what are we waiting for, if we don't move now we won't be able to get him out of that prison." The woman hissed as Cedric could hear her walking away.

"We need to wait for the signal, the other groups will be attacking the Reyeses and their allies, we need them to tell us it's done before we try to rescue Lucius Ting." The man told the woman, making her stop.

Cedric was also stunned by what he had heard, were these two people involved with the Rajas? Or was there another group helping Lucius Ting out?

The only way Cedric could figure it out was if he stayed and listened to them, unfortunately, staying also risked his own safety.

"This Lucius Ting is not worth the trouble he has caused." She said angrily.

They seemed to ignore the fact that they were in public as they let their guard down and spoke about their plans openly.

"On the contrary, he has given us the perfect opportunity to strike." The man said quite confidently, as if Cedric and his friends had walked straight for their trap. "The Reyes have been on high alert due to Lucius Ting, making it difficult for us to launch and attack."

"Have they let their guard down since his capture?" The woman asked as Cedric could hear her voice getting louder. She was probably walking back to the man as he reasoned with her.

"After Lucius Ting was arrested, there was a significant lessening of security personnel in their various offices and homes." The man said as he answered the woman's question.

They may have thought that Cedric walked into their trap, but the lessening of guards was done on purpose. It may have seemed that there were less people around to protect the different locations of interest, but in fact there were more hidden than seen.

Cedric had also moved everyone to more heavily guarded homes and locations, such as Mountain View, the old Reyes home, and Kashmere.

Most of the people they had moved had no idea what was going to happen, so Cedric simply pretended that it was vacation on Kashmere for them.

The men that  Cedric had withdrawn from their original locations had not left entirely either, in fact, they had been waiting.

Lurking around the locations, ready to strike when the attack was made.

It seemed that the pair in the park had no idea what was happening since the attack had already failed. Cedric and his friends had captured most of the people involved in the attacks.

The key leaders of that Rajas may have escaped, but they were left with little resources, they wouldn't be able to launch a counter attack anytime soon.

"I can't believe that they all decided to move over the death and torture of one spoiled young man." The woman chuckled. "If I had known that hurting one of their precious princes would make the bosses move, then I would have done it myself a long time ago."

"Don't let them hear you say that." The man scolded.

"It's not like anyone else is here." She mocked.

"The Rajas were biding their time, growing in strength and numbers. It was easier to do in the shadows rather than out in the open." The man hissed as he explained the situation to the woman. "If their enemies knew they were coming back, then they would have been squashed from the start."

"Don't be silly, their enemies look down on them." The woman chuckled. "I'm sure that child, Cedric Reyes, wouldn't even take this threat seriously."

"I hope you are right, because based on what we have seen, he is much more dangerous than his father." The man told the woman.

"More dangerous?" The woman asked as she laughed. "All he has is money, how is he dangerous?"

"Tell me, Bella, when have you seen the underworld and the military cooperating?" The man asked, leaving the woman with him speechless.
