Chapter 41.2 – Ask For Marriage (2)

Sure enough, it was her loss at the end, and Qi Bo’s revenge on Liu Chen did not end up doing much – such thoughts only stayed on Lu Qipei’s mind until the afternoon came, because when she took a walk then, she accidentally heard the gossip between two minor officials.

Minor official A complained to minor official B, “Why isn’t Editor Liu coming to work again today? I still have a manuscript that needs his review. If he still isn’t coming, this matter is going to get delayed. Look at my bookcase, there’s almost no room left to place the manuscripts.”

They were muttering and laughing in a low voice from time to time, but they didn’t notice anyone nearby.
