Chapter 135 Vampire Growth To Chaos - Part 2

The two of them strolled through the forest, looking around at the trees, glistening from the moonlight. It was a cold night, not that the vampires were able to tell. The gentle breeze caused the leaves in the trees to sway, ever-so-slightly.

Suddenly, there was the sound of ruffling within the vegetation. However, the sound didn't faze the two vampires at all, there wasn't even a slight reaction from them.

From behind the trees, another group of vampires appeared.

"You're the Second Progenitor's offspring aren't you?" one of them confronted Lest.

"Sure~"

"What rank are you?"

"I'm a Baron," Lest responded.

One of the vampires stomped toward Lest, grabbing him by the collar. The vampire was extremely angry, looking toward Lest with a piercing glare. Lest just looked down at the vampires blankly, showing only a slight smirk.

"Don't you lie to me, bastard."

"Hey, that's not very nice~"

"Ah, I see, well, my apologies then."

"I'm glad we ca—"

Suddenly, the vampire drew his weapon and swung it at Lest. However, Lest simply opened his hand and caught the sword in his palm.

"Oh, I thought we made up~"

The other vampire was extremely stressed upon seeing how easily Lest had stopped his attack. Bullets of sweat dripped down from his forehead as Lest held his blade in the palm of his hand.

The vampire quickly withdrew his weapon and took a step back.

"Don't tell me... you're a duke?"

"I don't know, I guess I won't tell you~"

"Stop messing with me!"

"You're asking for it~"

Slowly, Lest began taking steps toward the vampire. The vampire began retreating out of fear, but he didn't take his eyes off Lest the entire time.

"Aa, let's be friends now~"

Lest quickened his pace and drew his crimson sword. He flaunted it in the air before poking the vampire in the neck with the point of his blade. The vampire clung against the tree as the point of Lest's blade dug itself further into his neck.

"H-hey... I thought we were going to be friends..."

"Oh, I changed my mind."

Suddenly, Lest lowered his sword and grabbed the vampire by the neck.

"Tell me, which Progenitor do you belong to?"

"W-why do you want to know?"

"It's customary, before killing someone, to know who they belong to, right?"

"W-what..."

Lest pressed the vampire's neck into the tree, to the point where the vampire struggled to breathe. Coughing and gasping for air, the vampire struggled but it was nowhere strong enough to compete against Lest's grip.

The other vampires were too afraid to act, only watching as their friend was slowly being choked by Lest. Fuola was standing not too far behind him, watching all of the other vampires who surrounded them.

"Come on, tell me."

"I'm from the Fourth Progenitor, she's going to kill you."

"Aa, scary~"

All of a sudden, the vampire drew his weapon and stuck it into his own stomach. Blood gathered at the wound, leaking out like a broken damn. Slowly, the vampire lost consciousness. Lest let go of the vampire, letting him die on the ground.

"Oh man, I didn't even get to kill him."

As he turned, all of the other vampires avoided his gaze, aside from Fuola of course.

"Lest, what are we going to do about the rest of them?"

"Well, I don't really care about them, we can just leave if they're not bothering you too much."

"Their gazes are annoying, I don't like being watched."

"Ah, well in that case, do you want to finish them off?"

"Sure."

Fuola drew his weapon and looked around at the various vampires. Since they were all offspring of the Fourth Progenitor, there was no rule against killing them.

"Sword, drink my blood."

Blood dribbled down Fuola's arm, feeding his dark red blade.

"Go Fuola~"

Fuola dashed toward the group, swinging his sword at the vampire standing at the front. They were just able to block the attack with their own weapon. However, they had nowhere near enough time to stop Fuola's second attack. The vampire was quickly cut into two, with no opportunity to regenerate.

The other vampires confronted Fuola but they were also no match. Fuola was a duke, the same rank as Lest, albeit still significantly weaker. However, against these vampires who weren't even Marquee level, he was comparable to a god, easily cutting them down, one by one.

His sword danced through the air, slicing the other vampire royals, easily killing them all. The corpses lay strewn on the ground, slowly eroding away as Fuola finished them all off. His swordplay was so fast that the vampires didn't even have time to regenerate their injuries, let alone defend against his attacks.

Less than a minute later, Fuola returned to Lest's side and watched as the various corpses slowly became nothing but dust in the dirt.

"Hey, Fuola, do you want to try making some offspring?"

"Why me?"

"It'll be a good learning opportunity for you~ only high-ranking vampires like us can make them."

"But I don't want any."

"Don't be like that, offspring are pretty useful."

"For what?"

"Oh come on, you're my offspring, and I can get you to do all my fighting for me."

"I don't mind fighting."

"Eh, well when you're hungry, you can get them to bring food. Like how we have to collect some food for the Progenitor."

"Um... if I find someone suitable, I might consider it."

"Someone suitable, eh?"

After slaying all of those vampires, Fuola and Lest continued through the forest. Lest hadn't found any humans who he deemed worthy of becoming offspring yet. He hoped to find some stronger people, people who were likely hiding in the bigger cities.

However, bigger cities had their own risks.

Aside from the main Elven City, there was also the main Human City. These cities had large concentrations of extremely strong humans, ones who had powerful Shadow Hunter Systems. They were the only things that were a risk to the higher-ranking vampires.

The top 5 humans were especially dangerous, possibly even posing a threat to Duke-ranked vampires.
