Chapter 109 White-Haired Vampire - Part 2

After a little while, the two of them decided to take a short break.

"I wonder where all the humans are?" asked Lest.

Celeste didn't answer his question.

Suddenly, the two of them noticed some movement in the distance. As Lest stood up, Celeste quickly drew her sword.

"Hey, Celeste, what are you do—"

In one clean stroke, Lest's head was cut off.

His head hit the ground with a splat.

I have to leave.

But... I need more blood... human blood.

I need to get stronger.

After this, Celeste quickly ran towards the movement in the vegetation. She rushed over, with her sword out, and confronted the people she saw. As she held her dark red blade in front of her, she looked over at the four humans.

As she got closer, a slightly chubby boy engaged her, shocking her entire body with a bolt of electricity. Electricity travelled through the trees, burning the leaves to a crisp.

Through the pain, she swung her sword at him. However, he easily deflected the attack. The blade of her sword smashed into the blade of his [Knife of Electromasters] and her body was left wide open. She jumped back as fast as she could.

"Sword... drink my blood."

Blood leaked from her arms, dripping down to the hilt of her weapon.

Once again, she charged toward the humans, however, her attacks were deflected once again. These humans were much stronger than the ones she had previously fought, easily blocking her attacks.

It hurts...

She was bleeding all over, the electricity fried her skin, causing bits of it to peel off.

She slowly began seeing the hopelessness of the situation.

I just wanted to escape...

She was picked up and taken away.

Lest picked his head up off of the ground and attached it back onto his neck.

"What am I going to do with that girl...?"

As his head slowly rejoined, he noticed that there was some pretty intense fighting in the distance. He had felt a shock travel through his body.

He slowly began making his way before noticing that Celeste had been taken.

What a hassle.

His fangs stuck into the neck of Josh.

Slowly, he drank the blood, like juice, straight out of his neck.

After a little while, he stood back up.

It seemed that the girl who was with Josh had run off.

"Isn't it sad? Your comrades just abandoning you like this?"

"You piece of shit... what did you do to me...?"

"Oh, not much, I just made you into one of my offspring~"

"Huh? Don't tell me... I'm a fucking vampire?!"

"Hey, don't make it sound so bad~"

Josh crawled backwards, hitting his back on a tree. Suddenly, the tree fell over, crashing into the ground. The entire trunk of the tree had been destroyed by the impact. As he looked around, he noticed that the arm that he'd previously lost was reattaching to him.

"Ooh, you're strong, you'll be able to become a Marquee~"

"Who said I was going to work with you monsters?"

As he did with Celeste, Lest walked over to Josh.

"Go away!"

"Come on now, life's more fun as a vampire~"

Josh tried to stand up and run away. However, before he could make his move, Lest lunged in and grabbed him by the arm.

"No running away~"

"Piss off, you disgusting blood-sucker!"

Lest made a small cut on his hand and began feeding Josh.

"You're going to listen to me~"

Josh tried to resist, however, his instincts stopped him. Slowly, he began drinking the blood out of Lest's hand. The more he drank, the more he wanted, his craving for blood had fully developed. Josh was now completely and utterly a vampire.

Now that he'd gotten a taste of Lest's blood, he no longer had his desire to resist.

"Alrighty, now say 'come to me, sword', okay?"

"Come to me, sword."

This time, a huge amount of aura began gathering around Josh. It was so strong that Lest was forced to take a step back. Josh held his face in anguish as the aura concentrated around his hip. A few moments later, a dark red sheath was conjured into existence.

"W-what's this...?"

"It's your sword~"

Josh stood silently as he observed the weapon which had appeared on him.

"Come on, let's go get Celeste now~"

"O-oh... okay..."

Lest looked around to see if there were any settlements nearby. The two of them dashed through the forest, searching for the place where Celeste could be. They weaved between the trees, doing a complete loop of the general area. After almost ten minutes, they finally came across a large village which had been all but abandoned.

"Hm, that's weird, I can smell Celeste here, but there's no one here."

Josh stayed silent.

"Ah, you're in your rebellious phase aren't you~"

He looked around before making his way toward one of the buildings. As he broke in, he saw Celeste lying on the ground, huddled up in a ball.

"Come on now, we're going back~"

Celeste looked up at Lest and pulled herself up.

The two new vampires followed behind Lest as he began making his way back to the cave where the second progenitor was. As they quickly travelled through the forest, Lest looked over at Josh.

He's strong... definitely at least a Marquee... maybe he could even be a Duke like me.

They were like blurs in the forest, swiftly moving toward the cave where a group of vampires were staying. Less than a few minutes later, they arrived, Josh and Celeste walked behind Lest as he entered the cave.

A tall, black-haired vampire wearing grandiose clothing walked up to them.

"Welcome back, Lest, I see you've made some offspring."

"Yes, I've got one who I think might be a Marquee or a Duke."

"Really? Which one is it?"

"It's the boy."

The second progenitor slowly walked toward Josh.

The progenitor raised his leg and kicked Josh in the side, sending him crashing into the wall. Fragments of rock fell from the roof as the impact echoes through the cave. The dust slowly settled and Josh slowly pulled himself up off the ground.

"What was that for?!" shouted Josh.

The second progenitor looked over at Lest.

"What's his name?"

"Ah, I'm not too sure~"

He then turned to Josh.

"What's your name?"

"You bitch, what do you th—"

Suddenly, the progenitor grabbed Josh by the face and smashed him into the wall once again.
