294 Cleaning House

“Qiao Xin, I haven’t settled the score with you yet about your dealings with Trand and Andy.” Qiao Yue looked at Qiao Xin and said coldly.

“How did you know about me and Trand?” Qiao Xin’s heart skipped a beat when she heard the name.

“Trand… How did you know about me and Trand? Have you been following me or investigating me?” Qiao Xin lost it and shouted.

“I have plenty of things I can use against you, so you’d better not provoke me. If you do, I won’t let you off.” Qiao Yue lowered her head and looked straight into Qiao Xin’s eyes.

Qiao Xin clutched her painful chest from the kick. The bruise seemed to hurt even more with Qiao Yue’s threat.

“Qiao Yue, you’ve caused all three of us internal injuries. Do you think my parents and the Li’s will let you off?” Qiao Xin said. “Trand is already dead but everything you did today was on record.”

“Then, please have your injuries evaluated.” Qiao Yue turned and got into her car, ignoring Qiao Xin.

“Second brother, look at fifth brother. Isn’t he clearly bullying me? I’m going to tell Mom and Grandpa. They’ll definitely help me seek justice!”

Qiao Xin hoped to hear consolation and affirmation from Qiao Jing, but he didn’t say anything. Instead, he looked at her coldly like he was looking at a piece of trash. “I’ve already called an ambulance for you. Please go to the hospital for checkups first.”

Qiao Yue and Qiao Jing’s cars sped away. The Li brothers and Qiao Xin could only watch the exhaust fumes from their cars while sitting on the ground.

“The three of them couldn’t be internally injured, right? If they were, I’ll be a burden to you again…” Hong Ning was a little worried.

From the rearview mirror, she could see the three people get up sorrily clutching their chests; they looked like they couldn’t even walk straight.

“They will be fine.” Qiao Yue chewed gum as she turned the steering wheel. She wasn’t worried about the three people behind them at all.

Qiao Yue had dinner with Qiao Ze and Hong Ning as planned.

They thought that Qiao Jing would either join them or stop them, but it seemed that something had happened at work and Qiao Jing did not stop them from going ahead.

After eating and drinking to their fill, Qiao Yue and Qiao Ze returned to Qiao residence together.

As soon as they entered the living room, they saw Tao Xi sitting there with a serious expression.

Tao Xi had been busy recently, dealing with Qiao Ren’s business abroad. She hadn’t been paying attention to home affairs.

“First aunt,” Qiao Ze greeted politely with a smile when he saw Tao Xi .

Tao Xi nodded, acknowledging Qiao Ze’s greeting.

Qiao Yue knew that the first madam of the Qiao family didn’t like her, so she didn’t plan to say hello and headed upstairs.

“Qiao Yue, stop!”

Qiao Yue turned and looked at Tao Xi. “What’s the matter?”

“I heard that you kicked your fellow students today and even caused Qiao Xin internal injuries?” Tao Xi stared at Qiao Yue with a frown.

Qiao Yue was really a child with no manners. He had clearly hurt his classmates, yet he still swaggered in without any sense of shame.

“Well, I did kick them, but internal injuries? First aunt, I don’t think you have any evidence…”

“No evidence? Qiao Xin is still unconscious in her room. What evidence do you need? Do we really need to go to the extent of injuries evaluation?” Tao Xi’s voice was sharp.

“First aunt, are you going to convict me without any injuries evaluation report” Qiao Yue sneered.

“You’re really an ill-mannered child. Are you going to admit your guilt only after you see the official injuries evaluation report?”

Tao Xi called the butler over.

The butler then went upstairs and asked the third madam of the Qiao family down.

The third madam looked like she had been crying. Her eyes were swollen, and she looked at Qiao Yue with hatred.

“I’ve just asked them to have their injuries evaluated at the hospital.” The third madam took out a piece of paper with the evaluation results on it.

According to the evaluation results, Qiao Yue’s kick had caused a moderate injury. If this was reported to the police, he would be punished.

Qiao Yue looked at the report coldly and sneered. “Are you planning to send me to prison? You want to file a lawsuit against me?”

“Kid, we are family. How can I send you to prison?” The third madam said in a choked voice. “I just want to know how Qiao Xin has offended you that you keep picking on her.”

“Third sister-in-law, your temper is too good. This kid is born to do evil. Why don’t we clean house on behalf of the old master while he’s recuperating?”
