3106 Weir Wall

Name:Monster Integration Author:Anwan
Half a day had passed, and I have come across more people. From what I observed through Nero, nobody seemed to have any idea about where we are.

It seemed to frustrate many people and make them mad.

I have been to a lot of ruins to feel these emotions. Though I would need to know where I am to get out of this place.

I am not worried about it. I am confident that I will find out my location, eventually. It might take some time, but I will do it. Once I know where I am, things will become simple.

Hun!

A little more than an hour passed when suddenly, Nero showed me something. My eyes widened and I begin to move toward it.

It took me half an hour before I reached it. I am not the only person there. There are already twenty-seven people. They just glanced at me as I appeared before turning back to the thing.

It is a black stone wall, and in the center of it is a grey stone door. A sliding type door and it is opening extremely slowly.

If not for me staring it at for half an hour, I would have stopped the door is not opening at all.

I am familiar with these walls. These are called weir walls. They are gateways to the vast palace. People have found amazing treasures there. Most importantly, the place had teleportation gates. Through them, you go anywhere in this place.

“Why hadn’t the door opened yet?” I asked no one in particular. “Don’t know. It is opening slowly,” replied a horned woman.

Nobody seemed to have any idea why. So, I did not ask any further questions and sat by the tree at a distance, like everybody is doing.

Everyone is a stranger here; they are maintaining at least twenty minutes of distance. All of them are alert and some of them have their hands very close to their weapons, ready to react the moment the need arises.

An hour passed, and the door opened by two inches more and it had become big enough that a few people slip inside it, including me.

Nobody tried.

There is a clear warning written in the information that one shouldn’t try to enter the weir gate before it had fully opened.

All those who entered had never returned.

Another two hours passed and now the door was nearly open. In an hour more, the door will be fully opened.

I don’t know why it is happening, as it had never happened before. It made some people cautious, and they left, but more have come to their place, as the number had reached thirty-four now.

More than an hour passed when I got.

A minute and a half later, the runes on the door lit up, as the door had finally opened. People hesitated for a second before walking inside.

I watched people pass through the gate and when my number came. I also passed through it.

A fraction of a second later, all the hair on my body stood up. I am very familiar with this feeling; it is the feeling of instant death. Something powerful came toward me and if I did not do something, I will die.

The thing is, I don’t know what it is everything is white in front of me.

It cleared as I thought it and to my shock. I saw a saber coming toward me at an extremely fast speed, filled with power. That would kill me if it hit me.

It is just a few inches away from me, and the one who is trying to kill me is a white-furred man. he is the eighth person who entered through the gate and looked at bodies around him; it seemed like I was not the only person it had killed.

I have no time to worry about other fates, as a saber is just a palm distance away from me and I did not do anything at the very moment. I am going to die.

I don’t want to die. Without meeting Marina and my family, without seeing the face of my child.

Burst 100%.

I activated the full power of the burst for the first time since my breakthrough. Its raging power filled me immediately from hundreds of power nodes. Even injuring me while doing that, but I do not care.

I will deal with injuries after I had survived.

The blade came close further, having just a fingernail away from me when I had acted.

Puch!

The sound rang out, and a huge shock appeared in the white-furred man’s eyes before light dimmed out of them.

I removed the spear from its head and collected all its artifacts, including the storage. I checked the bodies of the people he had killed, but he had already collected their resources.

“If you want to kill someone this way, use your full power,” I said and turned to a few people who were looking from the distance.

I have never experienced something like this in my world. Even Grimms hadn’t tried this. It is a clever way and if furred based had used that last bit of power; it had used when its doom was a moment away.

Then I would be dead, with him collecting my storage.

Though it would have been wildly disappointed by what it would have found there. My storage device is only a token, the important things are present in my core.

I was looking at his head and body when a young man with luminescent nails walked inside. He got so alarmed seeing dead bodies that a couple of defensive methods appeared around him.

I couldn’t help but smile seeing that, but also memorized his aura.

He reacted extremely fast as if he had been in my place. He might have been able to defend against the attack with those defensive methods.

I nodded at him and walked ahead into the weir palace.
