Chapter 789 Arcadia

Staring back at myself, that seemed so different, so normal, I found myself confused, but I still opened myself to listening, despite my soul slowly beginning to fade.

"What is it you want?"

"It's not what I want but what we need to do. I never got a chance to speak about it with Zariel nor my sister, but as the first born, I was privy to specific information. Information about Mother." He said, sending my mind into a spiraling mess. The more I heard about her, the more confused I got.

She challenged the Mother of Demons and left without a second thought.

My mirrored self sighed, " Well, she was a guardian of sorts. The only one of seven bloodlines succeeding in gaining the right by the One and the Seven Clans to guard the Entrance of Arcadia."

Arcadia? I've heard of that. However, I cannot remember for the life of me. I think it was a legend back in my Earthen days.

"And you being a Monarch of Darkness bother's me." He said, shaking his head. "In my time, wherever the Hell we are, I have felt the powers of many High-Level Gods, and I'm not talking about Chaos Lords or Blood Lords, but beings of higher thinking and abilities." he paused, scrunching his brow. "If Zero is still alive, which he should be, you might be protected, but you need to inform our brother to prepare."

"Prepare for what?"

He stepped close, standing an arms-length apart, "Prepare for a land ravaged by war. There is a reason Mother was so injured. I'd not heard much, but it was said before the Angels, before the Night, And the Hells. There existed only two beings: the One and the All. But there exists yet another." He stepped forward, gripping my shoulder, " A Throne of Blood and Ash."

With those words, He shattered into millions of stary embers; my heart shuttered; as the fragmented light all fell into my spiritual form, turning me from a faded image into a fully realized being, I shook.

Heat blazed from within me as emotion after emotion came rushing in. Anger crackled like a vicious whip as the image of my mother came running in. her Stories of Arcadia, her stories of—"

Everything around me swirled as I felt myself being dragged from out of the core of my soul. Then without reason, everything turned black.

"Congrats" were the first words I heard as I opened my eyes to the condescending smile of Zax.

Eh? Where am—

"Izavith! You old bitch! I know you can hear me!" I howled, not bothering to care for the consequences. "This is an emergency. Get Zariel now! Summon Lilith too. Hurry!"

"What are you—"

I stared at Zax and shook my head inwardly. I can't trust him. He's a devil. They don't have loyalty.

Feeling my soul vanish from where I was. I found myself in a large antique room with a heavy stench of amber. The first person I saw was Lilith sleeping in a wheelchair.

My entire being quivered as I stared at her appearance, which had grown. My once perfectly balance wife was now large! Her arms were almost the size of mine! And her stomach.

My child! I quivered.

"Easy there." The chilling voice of Zariel rang in my ear as I took a step forward.

Shifting my attention to him, I frowned, looking at his bruised appearance and tattered clothing. But he was pointing down at the circle of runes.

"That's what's keeping you here and not dead. Your soul is recovering." He said and gently nudged my wife, who hadn't awoken yet. "So what is it."

I glanced at the odd woman out, the one I had never seen before with Long, rich black hair, scarlet eyes, and a bewitching face that could match my wife in beauty. There wasn't even a need to guess as I knew who she was.

But could I trust her?

"It's ok, Sene. Izavith here is like my right hand. A valuable ally even if you don't like her." Lilith drowsily muttered.

Izavith smirked, and I rolled my eyes. But she was right; right now, we will need allies. Slowly going over everything that had taken place with the other me, Zariel stood to his feet with widened eyes. Even Izavith seemed to grow quite grim.

"The Demon Mother and Mephisto. So that's what they are after. But I don't think they know of the throne. If they did, so would Lucifer, and he hasn't made a move." Zariel said, touching his chin.

"and as a Monarch of Darkness, you will be the key to opening the Path."

Why is that?" Asked Lilith.

"Because darkness exists everywhere. That's what makes it so powerful. You are the key to any portal, hence why Zantar needs you." Izavith said, twirling her fingers through her hair. "But if your mother knew of this throne, if it is even a throne or even exists for that matter, then it's safe to say there will be others who know of this legend."

"Agreed." Zariel added, "Once the Angels and Fallen learn of this, you can bet they will be at war again. All the heroes of those days will be returning for war. And this time, they will be killing each other."

"There are others who rival the angel's power, you know." Izavith remarked, "It's not just them. You got the Forsaken, and whoever harmed your mother so much so to the point she died to a bunch of weaklings."

"So I'm just a prologue for all that happens?" I asked

"I guess," Zariel said, looking around for the answer, unsure what to say.

'Fuck that! So I'm a fucking doorman? And my power is to open shit?" I pointed out in a shout, unable to believe what I was hearing.

The Silver Devil chuckled and nodded, "When you put it like that, I guess you're not wrong."

"Indeed, but it's a fitting job for someone as stupid as you. Unless you don't know the difference between push and pull?"

"First off, everyone gets confused on the push-pull thing. And secondly, fuck off!"

"Make me chump!"

"God, I hope my child nails you."

"Is that supposed to be a punishment? That just means I'll be carrying the next generation of Kings and Queens, idiot. Not to mention women like sex, or did you forget."

I actually didn't think of that.

"Ok, easy guys." Lilith intervened, with a scheming smile I was all too familiar with, "Let's just find out what happens later. Zariel, can I assume you will fill in the others of your Order?"

He nodded, and she clapped her hands together, " Great, Izavith, you prepare the other generals, just in case. I don't want anyone touching that throne, Not even the Angels."

"thy will be done, m'lady."
