Chapter 43.2. Current Masatoshi

-DumDum Masatoshi’s POV-

Fortunately or unfortunately, Masatoshi’s growing up in such an environment turned him into an excellent person.

But his human nature remains the same.

“This is my chance to become a saint and a lover. It’s that first event.”

He chuckles when he finally meets one of the heroine’s likes after he’s been reborn in the Night of Magic’s world. Masatoshi aims at his favorites among the heroines of the main character’s harem.

One is the hero’s former fiancée, with who he plans to get in a bet. And the other was a saint.

In a world where recovery magicians are rare, she is a saintly heroine.

“I have the progression of events firmly in mind. She’s the only one who has a clear timeline of events.”

He smirks and chuckles, leaning back in his chair and squeaking. He came into this world thinking. He wonders which heroine he could get.

He’ll take any heroine who is foolish enough to take me as a prize in a bet. But he also wanted to enjoy pure love. That’s what Masatoshi thought.

Masatoshi’s idea of pure love. It’s a partner who is truly in love with him and always gives him full affirmation. Those who hear this desire will say that such a thing is not pure love, but Masatoshi truly believed it to be so.

He would give good food, clothes, and better treatment to slaves who live in misery. He will rescue women who are being abused by their families and give them luxuries. Give a woman with a gaping hole in her heart the words she wants and help her out in a pinch.

Then they will come to depend on you. If you ask him, if that is pure love, he considers Masatoshi’s pure love. There was a hidden awareness that he wanted a cute doll that depended on him.

“Heh, heh. Good, I’ll show you how cool I am. I don’t need to be the hero. God will change the story a little.”

He’ll have to work hard at the party, throwing down his comic book and heading to his desk. The contents of his junior high school studies are on his desk, but that’s not a problem. Aguni Masatoshi’s abilities are high-spec, and he can still use the knowledge of his past self.

Grabbing a pen, the maid of honor puts down a cup of iced tea. He picked up the manga that had been thrown away and tried to study it, watching sideways as she bowed her head and left silently. In his previous life, this would have been an unthinkable action, but he frowns at the sound of a knock at the door.

“What?”

He wondered since he didn’t think anyone would have a business to knock at this hour, but I looked over to the maid of honor and nodded to her. Following Masatoshi’s instruction, who has become quite accustomed to giving orders to others, the maid of honor opens the door.

A butler is standing straight and tall, bowing reverently to her.

“Masatoshi-sama. Your father wants to see you.”

“Huh? …… Did something happen? Well, it’s fine. I’ll be right there.”

Masatoshi nodded and left the room, heading for the office where Enraku was waiting. It’s bad to lose his temper. It would be obvious if his father could see it in his expression, but fathers in this world only laugh boldly and do not show their inner feelings. So he needs to be careful.

There is no love, but a bond of fear, that Nasatoshi feels now. Of course, Masatoshi feels he has no choice since it comes with enormous money and power. Masatoshi believes that a loveless life with enormous assets is far better than a poor life with love.

As he continues down the hallway, he wonders at the many people he passes. For some reason, some of them are wearing magic armor, and it smells hectic and dangerous. Frowning at the unpleasant smell, Masatoshi knocks on his father’s office door.

“Father, it’s Masatoshi.”

“Oh, come in.”

He enters with a light bow of the head, saying, “Excuse me,” as permission is immediately granted, and raises his head, his face tightening.

Inside the Oval Office was his father, Enraku. However, he was fully equipped. He was wearing Enraku’s special magic armor, which looked like it was made out of rubies, and he was holding a halberd. Enraku’s lieutenants were also there, also armed.

“Is it war?”

Enraku, looking unusually grumpy, opens his mouth to Masatoshi, who is puzzled by the overwhelming scene.

“It’s not a war. But it’s going to be troublesome. You need to equip yourself with special magic armor. We’ll be out soon.”

Masatoshi frowns his face slightly as he sees what’s going on.

“Oh, I’m going to the slums. It looks like some other nobleman has gotten on my land.”

A duke’s land in a slum? Masatoshi wondered, but stopped asking more questions and quickly returned to get his equipment.

He thought it would be troublesome to be a noble who picks fights with the Duke Aguni.
