Chapter 19.1. When You See A Rock, It’s Mining, Right?

-Miu’s POV-

It’s about Miu’s previous life.

Or rather, it’s a memory of a game.

[Would you mine the rare ore at the Gunma mine?]

[However, the ore at the Gumma Mine has magical power and transforms into a golem. Please mine it without attacking it]

There was a sub-story that went something like this. It was a story initiated when I went to mine some alchemy materials.

You had to hit the golems that appeared in the mine with the [Mine] command. It was a shameless story in which I got beaten to a pulp while I mine and beat the golem’s body.

Incidentally, there was no mining work in the original story. There was only one event in which the hero’s parents were cursed and had to go to a dungeon to collect a rare magical flower to undo the curse.

In the game, there was. Because there was a job called [Alchemist]. You had to collect materials and make items in an alchemy kiln. You could change the game title to “Fantasy Dragon World Tree Reincarnation Atelier”. It’s not a good word, right? I think the production company is awesome.

And the golem only appeared in the mine. I want to say thank you for being so elaborate. In reality, golems appear in places other than mines. Then I guess I’ll have to [Mine] it. I’m mining in the face of a mass of rock. It’s a game player’s instinct.

I, the gray-haired beauty slam my mace down with a clattering sound like the tinkling of a pretty bell. Using my small body to its fullest, I use my slender arms to strike the mace with all my might.

Yamiyo and the others watch Miu’s actions without restraining her. They’re watching me as if I was the poster child of a ferocious and demonic beast.

I smack it about ten times, and it cracks the entire body of the stone golem, a stone golem as hard as a gemstone, five meters long. My reach is less than a meter. Even with my mace, my reach is less than two meters. The attack had hit the stone golem in the leg.

And yet, the stone golem’s entire body cracked. With a pitter-pattering sound, the stone body flopped down from the crack.

I grinned, peeled my double teeth, and laughed at the situation. It’s as I expected. Just like the effects in the game. This world is based on the novel. However, there are many times when the game’s specifications can overcome the novel’s setting. That’s because they created the game after the novel’s completion. The game setting, which overrides the novel’s setting, seems to have affected the game.

The production company didn’t care if they destroyed the original work many times. Moreover, the novel’s rough setting got made detailed in the game. It was as if they were building a world.

That’s why I thought the stone golem was about to crack.

I didn’t think I’d be able to beat it with a perfect seal. It was a template by any stretch of the imagination. The stone golem got sealed at the start, and at the end, it’s got released, and we’re in battle. It’s definite development.

The stone golem raises its arm and comes roaring toward me. If it hits me, it will be a hamburger of Miu. I can’t let that happen.

The punch comes at me with a booming sound. It was as if a chunk of rock was falling in front of me. The 9 year old girl got crushed by the rock, and it was game over.

I select another command. With a squeak, the magic armor I’m wearing Activated. The armor of each part of the magic armor which looks like a combination of a white priest’s uniform and a leotard, deployed, and mana circulates my body.

Feeling the fullness of power, I jumped to the side. The stone golem’s punch dug into the spot where I had been, and it got deeply buried in the ground.

A cloud of dust and broken pieces of pebbles hit me. With a “kororin kororin,” I roll backward and quickly pick myself up. It’s a good thing I’ve been doing this practice. I’ve been practicing since kindergarten, so I’m a master.
